NASCAR Driver Indefinitely Suspended For ‘Liking’ Meme On Social Media Mocking George Floyd

The last time we checked in with NASCAR they were clutching their pearls over their #FakeNoose story.

NASCAR is again under fire for suspending driver Noah Gragson for the grievous, unforgivable act of . . . liking a social media post.

Apparently there was some sort of tasteless meme floating around that reportedly “mocked” the death of George Floyd, and some social media stalker who calls himself a “journalist” searched for people of note that “liked” it, started a cancel campaign against Gragson, and crybullied weak and woke NASCAR into suspending the driver.

Todd Starnes reports:

NASCAR Noah Gragson has been suspended indefinitely because he “liked” a meme that mocked the death of George Floyd. The 25-year-old Gragson, who is from Las Vegas, is in his first full season in the Cup series and is No. 33 in points.Gragson did not create the meme – he just liked it. And that could very well end his NASCAR career. . . . . NASCAR says there’s no word on when or if he will return to the sport.“NASCAR fully supports Legacy Motor Club’s decision to suspend Noah Gragson,” NASCAR said. “Following his actions on social media, NASCAR has determined that Gragson has violated the Member Conduct section of the 2023 NASCAR Rule Book and has placed him under indefinite suspension.”Critics have accused NASCAR of taking a hard left turn and overreacting. They point out that Bubba Wallace was never punished for fabricating the infamous “noose” hoax. It turned out to be a garage door rope.

Personally, I have no idea what this meme even means, but it does seem rather tasteless. But being tasteless is a not a crime, nor is “liking” something that is tasteless.

Here’s the subhuman thought policer gloating about his virtue signalling that may have ended a young man’s career before it’s really even started (archive link).

For his own reasons, Gragson posted an apology to Twitter. Sigh.

Here’s the full text:

“I am disappointed in myself for my lack of attention and actions on social media,” he wrote. “I understand the severity of this situation. I love and appreciate everyone. I try to treat everyone equally no matter who they are. I messed up plain and simple.”

Needless to say, people have thoughts.

There can be no rewards for this sort of complete over-reaction based on a Democrat’s crybullying. The only way to end this madness is to stop spending your hard-earned money on any organization that takes a knee to the Democrat thought police.
