Activists at a New York City drag march Friday can be heard chanting, “We’re coming for your children,” in videos of the event.
“We’re here, we’re queer, we’re coming for your children,” the activists shouted as they marched. The marchers convened at Tompkins Square Park and made their way through the East Village before stopping at Stonewall Inn. Stonewall Inn, a gay bar, was the site of a police raid which sparked violent protests known as the Stonewall Riots in 1969.
Other video taken of the event shows protestors with signs reading, “Groom Cissies” and “Drag isn’t for Cissies.”
As concerns rise over explicit drag events marketed to and performed for children, some states are taking action to prohibit underage kids from attending these shows. In May, Montana became the first state to ban drag shows from public spaces and being performing in front of children.
“Cissies” is apparently a reference to the ridiculous “cis” addition to the Democrat lexicon for “real” as in someone born a female who identifies as an adult female (i.e. woman) or someone born a male who identifies as an adult male (i.e. man): a “cis woman” or “cis man.” This is an ideological attack on normal people (i.e. the vast majority of the population). The goal appears to be to “other” normal people who don’t buy into Democrats’ radical gender and queer ideology that is designed to undermine societal, cultural, medical, religious, and scientific norms.
Hundreds of drag performers marched through Manhattan’s East Village in elaborate costumes on their way to the iconic Stonewall Inn.
Video showing some of the march’s participants chanting, “we’re here, we’re queer, we’re coming for your children” was shared on Twitter by Timcast News, launched by conservative podcaster Tim Pool. Others can be heard saying, “we’re here, we’re queer, we’re not going shopping.”
I have no idea what “we’re not going shopping” is supposed to mean or why they would chant it . . . if that’s what they are chanting. I can’t tell.
There is some suggestion that this video has been doctored or that only a couple of people are doing the offensive chant, while the rest are saying the nonsensical “we’re not going shopping.” You be the judge.

It’s worth noting that this is not the first time the “we’re coming for your children” message was conveyed by the LGBTQ community. The San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus claims this is intended to be satirical, and it probably is. But it’s very disturbing to anyone even vaguely familiar with what is taking place in our nation’s public school classrooms regarding sexuality.
So it is possible that this chant is intended as mockery of the very real, legitimate fears that parents across the nation have about what is happening with their children in schools, from being exposed to kiddie porn to having their child “transition” without their knowledge, consent, or approval.
Needless to say, people have thoughts about the NYC drag march chant.

If you listen to the audio, only one person says “We’re coming for your children”, and only says it once. When the crowd repeats the chant it’s “We’re not going shopping” (interesting slogan…). So I think the first couple of tweets cited are correct.
I agree. Many conservative web cites are taking this quote of “coming for your children” as representative of all of the gay/lesbian community. LI is doing this as well. This is wrong. There are many gays and lesbians that are on our side. Including commenters on LI. Don’t bash all of them because of one idiot’s comments.

True. There are some folks who falsely equate conservative with religious. Of course only one or perhaps two religions qualify in the eyes of most of these folks. Even then they tend to overlook the clear differences between denominations of those religions. Some go to the other extreme and hold their denomination as the only truth but that’s less common.

Do you honestly believe the “we’re not going shopping” BS? I watched the video — I heard nothing like that. But, then, no one had suggested it to me, and I’m not desperate to excuse a mob of groomers.
“We’re coming for your children” is clearly heard at the 5 second mark, and you can only make out one person saying it. From the 8 second mark onward, you can clearly hear the crowd chant “We’re not going shopping”. I’m not out to excuse anything; I think the trans-gender movement as a whole has no integrity, and the ideology they are pushing is dangerous. But facts are facts. If someone is accused of murdering 10 people, but only killed 9, they’re still murderers, but you still can’t condemn them for something they didn’t do. You may think it’s small potatoes, but do you want to be on the side of truth, even if it’s not what you want it to be? Or do you want to be just like those who try fit reality to match their feelings?
So I listened to it with my left earphone in my right ear (my best ear), and I think I could hear more than one person on the “we’re coming for your children” line. Also, the person in the black suit and necktie on the right in the shot is less audible but seems to be mouthing “coming for your children” rather than “not going shopping.”
I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt, even when I don’t like them, but I’m also willing to revise my opinions after further examination of evidence.

Pretend gay marriage is the farce that started all of this. There is no such thing as “gay marriage” any more than calling any bunch of people who want to hang out together “married”. Polygamy is a legitimate form of marriage (with a rich history in just about every culture) but pretend gay marriage has hardly ever been entertained, because every knows that it has nothing to do with marriage – which is about building a family, a blood family.
I was against pretend gay marriage, as was most of America. Allowing that is exactly what brought us to this, whether you are in favor of this or not. The idea that the SCOTUS found pretend gay marriage in the Constitution was one of the worst and most ridiculous decisions, ever – which is no easy feat given the boundless number of inane, treasonous, and downright retarded decisions the SCOTUS has managed to come up with over the years.

The destruction of the institution of marriage, which has been one of the main foundations of civilized society, impacts everyone.
Those were the core arguments made against same sex marriage that:
1. State recognized marriage should be reserved for a man and a woman
2. State has interest in family formation due to positive impact on social stability
3. Marriage between man and woman = children; next generation of employees, Soldiers, Scientists and so on
What argument do you make in opposition to some sex marriage beyond a slippery slope since you are either aware of but reject the arguments made at the time or are unaware of those arguments but still reject them here?
Marriage isn’t destroyed if more people get married. I don’t see how you don’t get that.
I’d have been just fine with civil unions. In fact, I went to a gay activist meeting and said so, and it didn’t go well. I am not a Libertarian in the party sense, but have had a libertarian streak up my back for decades.
Marriage ought to be privatized. The civil portion should consist of a contract of mutual responsibility between two adults, with a provision for custody if children are involved. The rest should be entirely private.
No one should EVER be required to celebrate marriages of any kind. Government has no business in “Pride” celebrations. Everyone should be free to believe and say whatever they think. “Conservatives” should stay out of my same-sex marriage, which exists only because wingnuts decided to outlaw civil unions in a bunch of states.
So I’m not terribly happy with government-sponsored marriage, but even less happy with “conservatives” who want to outlaw my union, whatever you want to call it. Whatever happened to live and let live? I have exactly the same viewpoint toward forced acceptance.

Personally, like other lifestyle choices, I just don’t give a damn what these trans people choose to do to their bodies or what they choose as a lifestyle. If they want to act like absurd fools in public, that too is their choice.
As with most 21st century public protest marches, like this one, the participants are intentionally trying to bait their opposition into reacting in negative ways so they can socially condemn them.
Don’t bite.
Those that are “trans” are clearly abnormal (read the link I just provided so you know what I mean when I write abnormal) but many of the trans community appear to be narcissistic psychological freaks that choose to mutilate their bodies and many dress up like overly emphasized cartoonish caricatures of the opposite sex. In my opinion, self mutilation is their choice, their consequences and I refuse to pay one cent out of my pocket towards their self mutilation obsession (I’m also opposed to paying for voluntary cosmetic surgery) via insurance or any other social or government subsidized support program that psychologically or financially enables self mutilation. They can do whatever they want to their bodies but they have to do it on their own dime, they have absolutely no right to the dollars in my pocket to satisfy their absurd abnormal obsessions.
Activist parents supporting the trans community that choose to take their impressionable youth to “trans” events are intentionally trying to psychologically manipulate their children into seeing abnormal behaviors as normal behaviors. These parents are fools and their activism will likely back-fire in the long run. Tolerance is one thing, indoctrination is quite another.
Trans persons intentionally exposing their abnormal behaviors to children as if their behavior is “normal” is the epitome of indoctrination.
Critically thinking parents should try to avoid exposing their children to these abnormal trans people until the children are clearly mature enough to understand that trans persons are abnormal and some are narcissistic psychological freaks that mutilate their natural bodies.
