Comments

With decreasing earnings at FoxNews Rupert Murdoch will have to look for an older wife.

After what they did to Carlson, Bongino, Dobbs et. al., I’m done with them. I’ll miss Ingraham and Gutfeld, but the tyranny from above is insufferable.

Same for me, I am watching Tucker on Twitter. Twitter still has problems, they are allowing Trans gangs to attack people, and the those people simply disappear. So much for Musk’s vision of a town square. Hopefully he will reign in various Dem groups who are engaging in such activity.

Ingraham was good when she used to have a sense of humor, say as a guest on Imus. Though she was banned there for a while for mailing in jokes.

When she broke up with a boyfriend she ran a garden hose into his mail slot and flooded his hallway. So there were signs of intellectual life then, long ago.

Lots of stuff on the right should be mocked nowadays but she’s not the one to do it.

Gutfeld does sometimes.

She gets a pass for causing thousands of dollars of damage why? Because she’s a woman and women’s anger is always righteous?

Replace right-wing white guy with right-wing white guy. Yeah, those rubes won’t notice Tucker missing! All white guys look alike!

Replacing Tucker with Jesse shows that fnc just doesn’t get it. Tucker’s show was nothing like Jesse’s show and the carryover is not there. Jesse is a lightweight who has as much comedy as he does serious subjects. Tucker was the scalpel of TV with his acerbic wit and insight into the minds of the ruling party. What fnc has done is similar to what Bud Lite did after their terrible blunder, made it worse. I see that cnn might be for sale and if it is this would be a great time for a conservative group to buy it and make it 100% conservative with true professionals.

Is CNN worth buying, it is not like it comes with any talent It would be just the infrastructure. Are media networks going to be worth much in the Internet age?

The basic structure is all that is needed. The FEC license and the equipment are 90% of the battle. Of course, only a few of the technicians would be retained who are not seen or heard from normally. Think of a potential line-up that they could put together.

I like Jesse and Laura, but I’m still not watching.

Laura is actually very Rino and lost any edge she ever had. She was better in the radio. I find her boring

Jesse is likable but is definitely punching above his weight class

Just stop. Anyone who is not on the Only Trump train is not a RINO. Do you understand that you are limiting yourselves, enforcing some bizarre litmus test for Only Trump purity, and that ultimately, Trump is Trump. He loves him some Disney perversion and indoctrination, he supports Bud Light’s tranny fluids, and he thinks abortion is woohoo! too cool for Sunday school. This is your guy. He’s not on our side, gonzo. Not even close.

I read many blogs and it is amazing that for many, it is only Trump and every other R is a RINO. The 43% who like Biden is remarkably similar in nature to the 43% who worship Trump. They hate RFK Jr. and call him and anyone who talks to him a traitor or antiAmerican. Sound familiar?

EVERY news outlet has a bias of some sort, an editorial stand if you will. It is what it is. The ideal, of course, is to understand the bias of each source you check, and to check a variety of them so that if one catches the other out you can know about it.

Most people end up with a basic news source or two that they pretty much trust not to lie to them and, to put it bluntly, share most of their bias’.

FNC’s problem is that for much of their viewership, they were trusted to tell the truth about what the Left was doing, and to support efforts to fix things. The last few years especially have shown that they really have a GOPe-ish willingness to stand against those who trusted them for the benefit of those in power. The trust is lost [and indeed it has been lost for most institutions in the country], and shuffling a schedule while still protecting the Left is not going to regain that trust or the viewership. But they will do what they see as what they have to do . . . for their purposes.

There was a time when news networks didn’t show their bias. In the days prior to Dan Rather and his obvious bias, it was practically impossible for the viewer to guess the party affiliation or bias of an anchor. CNN used to be halfway decent. However, FOX didn’t try to hide their bias and I can appreciate that. I despise the other networks who still claim they have no bias.

Paul Ryan still looking for his Dream Team. Maybe with more GOPe losses, Paul can get his pick of “talent”.

I like Jesse. He’s no Tucker, but I like him anyway. Years ago before he had an anchor slot, I saw him on ‘The Five’ a few times, or perhaps when he was guest anchoring. I commented to my housemate that I thought he had the potential to be an effective anchor. It turns out to be true.

Like I said, he’s no Tucker, but of course it is unlikely there will ever be another Tucker on FNC. They nuked their cash cow for reasons they will not enumerate. The other anchors have taken notice.

I still think the turning point came after Tucker had his first expose of the J6 videotapes. Chuck Schumer came on the air and basically told Tucker and FNC to ‘stop it’, that it was ‘very dangerous’. The next day, I was expecting further videos of J6. Tucker never talked about it again.

So now we can watch Ingraham talking over her guests at 7pm? I’ll pass. Maybe there’s a good WNBA game I could watch…
