Western Leaders, Rogue States Congratulate Turkey’s Erdogan on Reelection

Western Leaders, Rogue States Congratulate Turkey’s Erdogan on Reelection

Germany’s Scholz: “Congratulations to President Erdogan – together we want to advance our common agenda.”

From Western leaders to rogue Islamist regimes congratulated Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his victory in the presidential election. Erdogan, who has been in power since 2003, secured 5 more years at Turkey’s helm by winning 52 percent in a tightly contested run-off.

President Joe Biden, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron, and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak were among the leading Western leaders congratulating Erdogan on his reelection. Heads of the European Union and NATO, locked in a bitter geostrategic conflict with Russia, also issued messages of congratulations.

Germany’s state-run DW TV reported:

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz congratulated Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his election victory.

“Congratulations to President Erdogan – together we want to advance our common agenda with a fresh impetus!” Scholz said on Twitter, hailing the two countries’ close “partnership and alliance.”

US President Joe Biden expressed his best wishes to Erdogan, saying he looked “forward to continuing to work together as NATO allies on bilateral issues and shared global challenges.”

European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen said the EU wants to strengthen ties with Turkey.

“I congratulate (Erdogan) on winning the elections. I look forward to continue building the EU-[Turkey] relationship,” she said.

“It is of strategic importance for both the EU and [Turkey] to work on advancing this relationship, for the benefit of our people.”(…)

Both the European Union and the NATO alliance sent their congratulations to Erdogan, with whom both organizations have clashed multiple times during his 20-years of ruling Turkey.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said he looked forward to working with Erdogan and preparing for the alliance’s coming summit in July.

Putin, Zelenskyy congratulate Erdogan

Given Turkey’s strategic location, Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Ukrainian counterpart Zelenskyy were among the first to congratulate Erdogan. Turkey’s Bosporus Strait connects the Black Sea to international waters.

Russia annexed the Black Sea peninsula of Crimean in 2014 and has captured large parts of Ukraine’s Black Sea coast in its ongoing invasion of the country.

The Sky News (UK) reported:

Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskyy have joined world leaders in congratulating Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his election win.

In a letter to president Erdogan celebrating his narrow run-off victory on Sunday, Mr Putin addressed the Turkish leader as “Dear Friend” and praised his efforts at strengthening Russian-Turkish relations.

“From the bottom of my heart I wish you new successes in such a responsible activity as the head of state, as well as good health and well-being,” he added.

Mr Zelensky also offered his congratulations to Mr Erdogan and spoke of the need for the “further strengthening” of Ukraine and Turkey’s “strategic” partnership.

Iran, Taliban, and Hamas welcome ally Erdogan’s victory

Iran’s Shia-Islamic regime, Afghanistan’s Taliban-run Islamic Emirate, and Gaza-based jihadi terrorist group Hamas also rushed to welcome Erdogan’s victory.

The Qatari TV channel Al Jazeera reported the Iranian response:

Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi called Erdogan’s re-election “a sign of continued valuable trust of Turkish people”.

“Our relationship with Turkey in the next stage will continue on the basis of good neighbourliness and shared interests,” he added.

“I congratulate President Erdogan on winning the Turkish election and on being elected president of Turkey,” Taliban’s Prime Minister, Maulvi Abdul Kabir, said.

Even before the final tally was in, the Islamic terrorist group Hamas issued a congratulatory statement. The Times of Israel reported Sunday evening:

With unofficial results giving Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan a lead in the runoff vote, the Palestinian terror group Hamas releases a statement congratulating the longtime Turkish leader, with whom it has long had close ties.

Erdogan has been at the forefront of building an anti-Israel and pan-Islamic alliance. As Israel faced Hamas rockets and terrorist attacks on its soil in the wake of the Muslim month of Ramada, Erdogan called on Iran’s Raisi to join a global Muslim coalition against Israel and those opposing Islam in Europe.

The Times of Israel reported April 8:

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi in a phone call on Friday that “the Islamic world should be united against Israel’s attacks in Palestine,” his office said.

“Erdogan said it is important to demonstrate unity, particularly in the face of recent acts such as the burning of the holy Quran in European cities,” it added.

This is fake news. Biden and NATO do not want Erdogan. He is the Turkish Nationalist who has taken Turkey closer to Russia . The NATO backed puppet failed to take control and Erdogan won. There are a lot of very upset NATO leaders over this election victory. so the fake news is gushing out claiming the opposite, that NATO and the West are actually happy about this , when they are not

Was the ‘election’ ever in doubt? Another ‘close’ election.

    They lifted the democrat/GOPe formula.

There are two kinds of dictators in a world filed with Autocrats. Those that the US approves and those that it does not. The ones the US disapproves are called “dictators” and the ones it approves are called ‘duly elected leaders of friends and allies’

No election in a Muslim country is a “fair and free” election, assuming they have elections,

The first three rules of real estate, location, location, location.
We took out the Ottoman Turks a century ago (Sikes Picot agreement) because they didn’t line up with our vision of what we thought we wanted there, and have been paying the price ever since. They lived there and understood the way things were done.
They live in a rough neighborhood and have their own way of doing things.
    Maybe we’ve learned something.

Turkey sits at a geopolitical choke point and Erdogan sits atop Turkey by any means necessary. The world is quickly realigning and it sees ‘no one home’ in the WH, so, when we have an actual American president he, or she will have some catching up to do.

. . . when we have an actual American president he, or she will have some catching up to do.

By the time we have an “actual American president” and not a mentally deficient vegetable in the White House it’ll be far too late to do any “catching up”. The United States is now considered a joke on the world stage. That will not change. No matter who is in office.

Erdogan is leading a Turkish Nationalist movement and for Turkey to win it has to engage with the rising Asian powers – China’s BRI will invest 500 billion in Iran and billions more across the ME. Russia is developing the North South transport corridor that includes India has a major player. it is also extending its oil pipelines. There is nothing like this coming from the West

Turkey the power that straddles the Orient and the Occident at the Bosporus. It is a NATO member that purchased Russia’s S -400 defense system and will not share it with NATO members. the Cuban Missile crisis was based on US missiles in Turkey as much as it was on Russian missiles in Cuba. Its Turkish nationalism is based on its history of the Byzantine and the Ottoman empires fired up by Turkish Islamic movement – All these powers oppose the cultural Marxist movement going on in the US =- Erdogan leads it

Congratulations to the evil dictator for successfully pretending to hold a free and fair election! Even your opponents congratulate you, or would if they were still alive. President(ish) Biden, in particular expresses his heartfelt admiration for your skill at running fake elections and he hopes to emulate your success (again) next year!

It seems like sucking up to a guy who secureed power, running a national power spans ideologies, coalitions, geographies, even.

570 years ago on this date, May 29, 1453, Muslim Ottomans captured Constantinople and its magnificent Hagia Sophia, once the world’s largest Byzantine cathedral,

Whatever is touched by Islam turns into dreck.

Erdogan’s daughter appears to be a chip off the old block, releasing some belligerent threat against Christians, stating that the Islamic crescent will defeat the Christian cross, or some-such Muslim supremacist insanity.

Belligerent, totalitarian and hate-filled Muslim supremacists can issue threats with impunity and without receiving a scintilla of criticism, but, the real threat in Europe and elsewhere, we’re repeatedly told by the mainstream media, is alleged “white supremacy.”
