A program for higher education, funded in part by the Department of Homeland Security, links Republicans and conservative Christians to Nazis.

These are taxpayer dollars, made available through an anti-terrorism program.

FOX News reports:

University program linking Christians, Republicans to Nazis granted DHS funds under ‘anti-terror’ initiative

The Biden administration is doling out taxpayer money through an anti-terrorism grant initiative to a university program that has explicitly lumped the Republican Party, as well as Christian and conservative groups, into the same category as Nazis, according to documents shared exclusively with Fox News Digital.

The Media Research Center, a conservative watchdog group, obtained documents through Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests showing a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) program meant to fight terrorism is funding a group whose work has explicitly targeted the American political right. The MRC outlined its findings in a report, arguing what the group found warrants criminal prosecution.

“This terrorism task force is engaged in an active effort to demonize and eliminate Christian, conservative, and Republican organizations using federal taxpayer dollars,” said Brent Bozell, founder and president of the Media Research Center. “What we have uncovered calls for criminal prosecution. The American people need to know those who are abusing their positions in the federal government will be held accountable for their criminal behavior.”

This is directly from the Media Research Center report:

Under the Trump administration, the “Targeted Violence & Terrorism Prevention Grant Program” (TVTP) was used to prevent terrorism, but it was revamped under the Biden administration and renamed to provide funding for localities to combat “all forms of terrorism and targeted violence.” Instead of focusing on preventing actual violence and terrorism, the program is now being used to target the entire spectrum of the political right and Christians through “media literacy and online critical thinking initiatives” and other so-called training seminars as part of a coordinated effort to make America into a one-party system.

The University of Dayton, one of several grantees, targeted groups including The Heritage Foundation, Fox News, Christian Broadcasting Network, Turning Point USA, PragerU, the National Rifle Association (NRA), Breitbart News, the American Conservative Union Foundation and the Republican National Committee.

The Biden administration is essentially turning the war on terror against the half of the country that opposes them.

These are the same people who call Republicans fascists.

Civil War II became Cold War II some time ago. 1964 civil rights act essentially canceled large swathes of the Constitution of 1789. So the country lives under two systems of gov’t, some preferring the old system and some the new. So far, prosperity and lots of borrowed money has papered over the cracks and we can pretend there’s still just one country. Many times the cold civil war has erupted into a hot one (2020 rioting vs j6) but mostly it’s just the drip drip drip of crap like these constant encroachments. At some point though we have to face reality and make a very hard choice. This can’t go on.

Does anyone else have an odd sense of foreboding over the next 18 months?
I’ll be honest…it looks like winning the Presidency should be as easy as taking candy from a baby given the disaster Biden has brought.
The propaganda is in full court press mode, Biden is getting bold with EO and WHO saber-rattling over the next pandemic…I am not optimistic.

Lifted this am from a Newsweek opinion piece:

Winston Churchill issued a famous warning in his 1945 election broadcast. The great statesman was rightly worried about the threat posed by the Soviet Union, and the tyrannical impulses of communism. Churchill was clear: “Socialism is, in its essence, an attack upon the right of the ordinary man or woman to breathe freely without having a harsh, clumsy tyrannical hand clapped across their mouths and nostrils…. I declare to you from the bottom of my heart that no socialist system can be established without a political police.”

I always like to ask if they would say that about Muslims. The answer is always no and we all know why they think they can get away with it with Christians.

I will get showered with downticks for this, but I have my stainless steel umbrella open. Here goes.

Christians, by and large, and sniveling and whining. They are not ACTING. How about some LOUD pushback? How about some walking in the doors of the Deans of these universities, and issuing some threats?

Maybe it’s time for the prayers to stop, and action to begin.

In short, and in street language, it it time to go all Muslim on their asses.

A problem for conservatives is being conservative. Same with Christians. It may take an outbreak of unChristian behavior to get the attention of the Democrat backed street agents. I know how Christians are supposed to act but my ‘other cheek’ is sore..

People confuse the original definition of meekness for weakness. Sniveling and whining are not a part of meekness. Righteous indignation and forceful response are needed … and after being used to right wrongs… going back to restraint of excess force. The difference is that with Islam, total force and subjugation are the end point… by any and all means. Islam doesn’t turn the other cheek to the infidel….never.

As I recall from Sunday School a certain someone used a whip to chase the corrupt out of the Temple.

Back in 1994, I actually had an NPC reply to this observation: “BTW, the “force” he used was in overturning the tables and physical products–not the merchants themselves.” To which I responded, “I doubt he used a whip on the tables.”

It’s not entirely wrong but not very self-reflective.

The appeal of the Nazis was based on decency, care for animals, concern for the family, purity and nobility. Family values. Herman Goring was head of the Tierschutzverein, the human society. The killing machine depend on normality consisting of decencies

The key insight is that virtue that goes public turns into the worst sort of evil. The left at the moment is way ahead on public virtue, called wokeness. Hence the killing machine.

Republicans can easily fall into it too.

DHS funded dehumanization of Muslims, even into the Obama administration one Robert Spencer a professional Islam baiter who thinks the religion is unchanged from the 7th century (which is as absurd as saying Jews are the same as in the time of Ahab) was being paid by the military to teach them what Islam is.

DHS does dehumanization, that is it’s ONLY job.

The difference between now and the Bush war on terror is instead of a small minority but mostly dehumanizing foreigners it is dehumanizing half the country.

This is our wakeup call about the national security state. Stop watching television where someone who wants to follow the law is either stupid or a traitor (i.e. 24) stop backing the national security state, stop simping for the Military Industrial Complex.

    Islam deserves such criticism.

If you didn’t know Arabic and couldn’t read the great works made in the Islamic world you were not an educated European in the Middle Ages or Renaissance.

Your continued hate for Islam demonstrates exactly why the DHS is doing what it does….it bloody works.

Dennis Prager? They missed LI.

They have joined the Cultural Marxists, everyone of them are declaring cold war

In my happy dreams, I am at a carnival, gleefully dunking a large red steel disk into a tank of water each time I squarely connect a fastball into the noses of Mayorkas or Garland.

Maybe this guy should get back to securing the homeland from actual threats such as millions of criminals pouring over the border.

Whew! Glad I’m not a Republican.

Glad I’m not a Christian.

Glad I’m not a …. oh, wait, I did Not See that coming.

The comments here are horrifyingly tepid given the horror that our own government is unleashing on us.

BierceAmbrose | May 29, 2023 at 5:50 pm

From memory, a bit in the BSG remake:

“The military portects the people from outside threats, by force.

Law enforcement maintains the internal peace for the people.

When the military becomes law enforcement, the people become the threat.”

We were gonna be the target when our internal security apparatus got populated by occupiers of a designated hostile regime, when we declared victory, and they needed new jobs.

The point is to keep the homeland “secure” so the people who live here can do what they want; whatever that is. That’s not what occupiers do. They don’t see the job as maintaining “secruity” *for* us, but rather *from* us.

(“Security” isn’t right, either, but baby steps.)
