Pro-Abortion NYC Prof Holds Machete to New York Post Reporter’s Neck, Chases Him Down the Street

Pro-Abortion NYC Prof Holds Machete to New York Post Reporter’s Neck, Chases Him Down the Street

“Get the f–k away from my door, or I’m gonna chop you up with this machete!”

Oh. My. God.

Someone get Shellyne Rodriguez, an adjunct professor at the School of Visual Arts and Hunter College, help. She seriously needs it.

A few days ago, Rodriguez yelled profanities at pro-life students, ruining their display.

Today, Rodriguez berated a New York Post reporter, held a machete to his neck, and chased him down the street with said machete.

Goodness:

Shellyne Rodriguez spewed the menacing remarks when The Post knocked on the door of her Bronx apartment Tuesday morning — a day after she made headlines for flipping out on pro-life students at Hunter College.

“Get the f–k away from my door, or I’m gonna chop you up with this machete!” the manic adjunct art professor shouted from behind her closed door just moments after veteran reporter Reuven Fenton identified himself.

Seconds later, Rodriguez barged out and alarmingly put the blade to the reporter’s neck.

“Get the f–k away from my door! Get the f–k away from my door!” she raged before retreating back into her apartment and slamming the door.

Oh my God:

The Post reporter and photographer immediately left the apartment building, but an armed Rodriguez quickly followed and accosted them outside.

“If I see you on this block one more f–king time, you’re gonna …,” Rodriguez said, while still wielding the implement.

“Get the f–k off the block! Get the f–k out of here, yo!”

The professor briefly chased The Post’s photographer down the street to his car before coming back to kick the reporter in the shins.

She finally retreated into her building just moments later.

Hunter College fired Rodriguez:

Vince DiMiceli, a spokesman for Hunter College, told The Post Tuesday afternoon that Rodriguez had been fired.

“Hunter College strongly condemns the unacceptable actions of Shellyne Rodriguez and has taken immediate action,” he said. “Rodriguez has been relieved of her duties at Hunter College effective immediately, and will not be returning to teach at the school.”

I’m told by the progressive armchairs and even reasonable conservatives that this is not self-defense (and in this case, they are right). Time for the gander to get cooked in the goose’s stew.

No, this is called criminal psychopothy, and this psychopath should be in prison before she kills someone.

If your comment doesn’t get at least a dozen down-votes, then there’s something seriously wrong with LI’s readership.

Well. moonmoth, I just counted 18 upvotes. Enjoy them.

She put a machete to his neck. And considering how the left (even in the mental health arena) loves to diagnose conservative people on a constant basis without ever once having any formal meeting based solely on their political leanings they don’t agree with, I’m not sure anyone is going to give a flying fork what you think about your click-bait, disingenuous call to action regarding LI’s readership.

The bottom-line is that we don’t all live in bubbles. And there is an observable universe of behavior, so while I find a lot of the LI readership to suck as they repeat unthinking talking points, it’s far, far worse on the left. There’s no real equivalency between the sides in the culture war.

iconotastic in reply to healthguyfsu. | May 24, 2023 at 1:06 am

Of course it is self defense. See the skin color of the reporter? It is white. Her skin color privilege means any white she is mad at is a threat to her. And as a threat she is allowed to use deadly weapons to protect herself from white threats.

    See?

That looks like an assault machete to me

Civilization is for the betterment of the civilized.

“Get the f–k away from my door!” Now that would be a good term for contraception. Say that once and there is no risk of pregnancy.

I watched the video of the sidewalk chase and the around-the-car with this Benny Hill soundtrack playing in a separate tab. It really catches the mood of this college “professor” (AA variety of course),

They gonna need to vastly expand the number of in patient psychiatric beds available in NY in addition to doing a more thorough screening and evaluation for all State employees of any kind.

Nah. She needs to be in prison.

      CommoChief in reply to TheFineReport.com. | May 23, 2023 at 7:57 pm

I don’t live in NY and honestly don’t care but if I did my preference would be to go through the social media and arrest records of every public employee to determine whether they should go talk to a doc at the funny farm.

It’s one thing for some random street person to behave like this but someone who gets a paycheck from the taxpayers? Oh hell no. Guaranteed there are plenty of whacko weirdos drawing a salary that would have been institutionalized in some form just a few decades ago.

Martin in reply to CommoChief. | May 23, 2023 at 8:56 pm

That implies that you will find an admitting psychiatrist that believe that she is exhibiting signs of mental illness. You and I may see her as crazy, much of psychiatry is moving toward seeing her as defending herself and others.

CommoChief in reply to Martin. | May 24, 2023 at 7:22 am

Psychologists and psychiatrists can also be fitted for a strait jacket and booked into a rubber room on a thorazine drip during their own stay at the funny farm.

A Punk Named Yunk in reply to Martin. | May 24, 2023 at 4:54 pm

Attributed to Yogi Berra, I think:
“Anyone who sees a psychiatrist oughta have his head examined.”

They can’t; they are being filled with illegal aliens.

    No room at the asylum.

He needs to press charges.

    geronl in reply to Ima_Uzer. | May 23, 2023 at 6:01 pm

    NYC would never seriously prosecute.

    1073 in reply to Ima_Uzer. | May 23, 2023 at 6:04 pm

First, I’m impressed that the reporters had cameras in their vehicle.
Second, video of you dying may be great for your publisher/show, but dead is dead.
Finally, if the reporters had armed security, she should have been dead. The Ninth Circuit even described a “21 foot rule” when dealing with someone with a knife; Shoot them.

    Valerie in reply to Ima_Uzer. | May 23, 2023 at 6:51 pm

File a civil suit. This is assault. If the reporters left as they say they did, and they did not further escalate the situation, this is assault.

      7Ford7 in reply to Valerie. | May 24, 2023 at 5:37 pm

Probably the best chance at justice is a civil suit. Sue her and attach her wages for the rest of her working life.

    diver64 in reply to Ima_Uzer. | May 24, 2023 at 3:22 am

and then what? Nothing will happen and I doubt she will ever be charged. This is NYC and she is a protected class person

Proof that trash comes in many colors.

I should think after the recent events along with events in 2020, she shouldn’t be in the education system or society. Three strikes and your out.

“Today, Rodriguez berated a New York Post reporter, held a machete to his neck, and chased him down the street with said machete.”

But, but… JoeBama recently assured me that wHiTe SuPrEEmAhCy is the greatest threat to our nation.

    WestRock in reply to LB1901. | May 23, 2023 at 7:21 pm

It wouldn’t surprise me if Rodriguez claims that the reporter displayed actions that spoke of physical and existential “superiority” (and how by its very nature is threatening) and, due to her melatonin levels she was entitled to feel oppressed and in danger, so her response was purely an act of self-defense. Or some reasonably crazy Sharpton scheme.

She should be locked up by now in a sane city. I’m any city, honestly.

Gosport in reply to WestRock. | May 24, 2023 at 8:07 am

Concealed carry states with decent self-defense laws don’t seem to have this sort of entitled acting-out with machetes.

Or at least they tend to end with a bit more finality.

      7Ford7 in reply to WestRock. | May 24, 2023 at 5:39 pm

But she was inside her apartment so she couldn’t have seen any threatening superiority.

The reporter didn’t even freaking move when she did open the door with her machete in hand.

Clearly Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Wonder if Darcel Clark will give it the Bragg treatment

A pro-abortionist wielding a machete? That’s a fitting symbol for their cause. Planned Parenthood should apply for a trademark. Instead of an Arm and Hammer it would be an Arm and Machete.

Wow that bitch seriously needs a life changing ass beating.

Sanddog in reply to Paul. | May 23, 2023 at 8:15 pm

This right here. She needs to understand actions have actual consequences and often they are painful and long lasting.

The perp has a temper and used the threat of deadly force.

In NYC, will the perp be arrested and released?

What would happen to this perp did this in Sheriff Grady Judd’s Florida county?

Subotai Bahadur | May 23, 2023 at 6:33 pm

This is Leftist New York City. Rodgriguez is multiple protected classes, obviously including Leftist and pro abortion. New York, of course, has a Soros paid for DA. I more than halfway expect that the reporter will be charged with having his neck interfering with her machete.

Subotai Bahadur

She should watch out. Waving a machete around like that, she might get a ticket or even a stern talking to. It’s a good thing she didn’t actually chop the guy. She might have to spend a few minutes in jail!

Gremlin1974 | May 23, 2023 at 6:44 pm

I don’t know what everyone else saw, but all I saw was your typical east coast leftist.

The Gentle Grizzly | May 23, 2023 at 6:52 pm

Feisty little thing…

We haven’t heard the whole story, but Hunter College fired her ‘way too quickly for this to be her first rodeo. I expect we will find out that she has a history.

henrybowman | May 23, 2023 at 6:54 pm

“Vince DiMiceli, a spokesman for Hunter College, told The Post Tuesday afternoon that Rodriguez had been fired.”

This one sentence amazes me more than if it said that Vulcans had landed and invited us to join the Federation.

Nah. She needs to be in prison. She knows right from wrong.

More so: the idiots who hired her to teach should also be in prison.

Psychiatric dysphoria treated or left untreated can progress with abortive intent.

A confused female… This is how mass abortion fields (e.g. schools) are created. Who released her from the clinic?

Well, thank goodness the reporter didn’t follow her into a department store dressing room, or he would have…. okay you know the rest of the joke.

Crazy witch.

RepublicanRJL | May 23, 2023 at 9:18 pm

I understand she was fired. Now, for attempted assault charges with a deadly weapon.

According to the Post she also has a pending suit against the NYPD for nerve damage to her arms from being cuffed at a BLM protest. I thought she showed pretty good use of her arms here.

Interesting word selection. Being relieved of her duties and not returning to teach does not actually confirm that she was fired from the university system.

Yeah, I don’t think the U wants any part of the coming legal shitstorm.
    Jettison all ballast, Balloon-Captain!

That looks like an assault machete to me

Threats, intimidation and violence are all that the vile and stupid Leftists/Dumb-o-crats know.

Look at this potty-mouthed piece of street trash. She curses and talks like a gang member. She’s been coddled and enabled all her life, as a person “of color,” and has obviously tread obnoxiously, without suffering consequences for her violent, infantile and hostile persona and antics — until now.

Someone wasn’t spanked enough as a child.

Another sterling member of our “higher education” industry.

Justice is coming?

NYC professor under investigation after chasing Post reporter, photographer with machete: cops — https://nypost.com/2023/05/23/nyc-professor-shellyne-rodriguez-under-investigation-after-chasing-post-staffers-with-machete/

“The unhinged New York City art professor who held a machete to a Post reporter’s throat after he knocked on her apartment door Tuesday morning is under investigation by the NYPD, according to police.

“Shellyne Rodriguez could possibly face assault and other charges over the frightening altercation, which began inside her Bronx apartment building before she then chased two Post staffers in the street, according to law enforcement sources.”

White privilege knows no bounds.

This is how the left views freedom of speech and freedom of the press by those who assert dissenting views

texansamurai | May 24, 2023 at 9:06 am

that reporter is lucky–he let her get way too close with an edged weapon–obvious neither the woman nor the reporter have any training–lord

her vulgar, aggressive, simian performance is in keeping with her whole hoodrat/thug countenance–“professor” indeed

she was putting on a show for the ‘hood–with “white supremacy” being declared the “greatest threat to this country” how can there be any respect for “white” authority?–why should there be?–fjb has all but said so

the “great society” sixty years on

She seems nice.

I would think she fits the definition of a domestic terrorist that the lefties like to label people. Regardless, she needs to be locked up before she hurts or kills someone. She definitely has some serious issues.

not_a_lawyer | May 24, 2023 at 1:31 pm

I believe I saw the original confrontation with the pro-life students and their tabletop display.

Professor Quote In reference to the pro-life documents: “This is violent.”

Erronius

Hunter College! Get a Bachelors in Gender studies with a minor in machete attacks. (all good unless it is a gun)

I’ve seen a number of bodycam videos of police shooting criminals who were running at them with large knives. Fully justifiable shoots. Just saying.

Hasn’t Hunter College been in the news before, over the last decade, due to extremist faculty or students?

Odds are she’s fully boostered. Blood clots on the brain or faulty circulation impairing her thinking and behavior?

If that picture isn’t a photoshop, she needs 10+ years in prison, and I suppose there’s time for her to get help during that stretch.
