Latest Tucker Leak: “If you’ve got pronouns in your Twitter bio, you shouldn’t work here because we can’t trust you because you’re on the other side”

Fox-haters at Media Matters once again inadvertantly make Tucker look even better. Tucker: Liberals “they see this as war and we’re the main force on the other side”

The leaks of off-air commentary by Tucker Carlson on his show set continues, with Media Matters dropping the latest clip. As noted before, if these are intending do make Tucker look bad, they are failing.

It’s unclear who Tucker is talking about in the latest leak video, or what it regards, but it has to do with some person or persons being untrustworthy. The Twitter account of the Media Matters functionary used to distribute the leaks asserts: “Unclear precisely what spurred the conversation though it appears to be some sort of leak.”

Money line from the latest: “If you’ve got pronouns in your Twitter bio, you shouldn’t work here because we can’t trust you because you’re on the other side.”

Partial transcript via Media Matters:

TUCKER CARLSON (HOST): I did. I talked to her at great length. It was actually pretty funny. I said, you know —

(PAUSE)

Oh, I said, she tried to get — I was like, she’s got a lot of liberals working over there. And, you know, they see this as war and we’re the main force on the other side. And like, that’s crazy. If you’ve got pronouns in your Twitter bio, you shouldn’t work here because we can’t trust you because you’re on the other side.

And she goes, “Well, who?” And I said, I’m not going to name names because I don’t know who did it. And I’m definitely not going to cast aspersions on someone unfairly. Just because you’re liberal doesn’t mean you did this. It does mean you shouldn’t work here. And Roger would never put up with this shit. Why would you do that?

Did you know what I mean? They see this as war.

CARLSON: But do you know what I mean, Justin? If you’ve got like that, that horrible guy who was just horrible, who was Judge Jeanine [Pirro]’s guy. I couldn’t. Yeah, that guy’s like a screaming left-wing lunatic. Why does he work here? What? He totally dicked over his anchor, and then we expect he’s not going to dick over the network. Like, I don’t have specific information on it, but I would. It’s just. Yeah, it’s crazy. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. It’s like I’m always telling people. I’m telling my children like, you know what the truth is? You can feel it. Don’t lie to yourself.

What are the odds that the person who leaked this video has pronouns in their twatter bio?

It’s his; not their. This is how the mischief started.

Using ‘their’ in the place of ‘his’ or ‘her’ when the gender is unknown has been accepted usage forever, or at least since the late 1960’s when I learned to speak.

Trying to force people to use ‘their’ because you suffer from a mental illness and you expect society to join you in your foray into the world of cray cray, not so much.

Edward in reply to Paul. | May 9, 2023 at 12:55 pm

The late 60s is hardly “forever”. But then I learned to speak (and write) while Truman was President. When gender was unknown, the default was the male pronoun. Women’s lib changed that for those who needed to be “with it”.

Interesting, I didn’t know that. We’ve been slipping down this slippery slope for a long time, haven’t we?

Well, if Jane Austen had used “his,” it would have sounded kinda ghey.
Plus, as we all know, poetry has a license to do violence to grammar.

henrybowman: poetry has a license to do violence to grammar.

There’s no poetic reason for Shakespeare to use “their” in that line. Austen wasn’t writing poetry and her published prose is considered to be very precise.

To the original point, the origin of the singular they is centuries old, and despite the attempts by some grammarians, its use has never ceased.

It was one of those childish “demands” that – like so many others – should have been ignored.

Truth. I was in my late twenties at the end of the 1960, set on being a writer, already professionally published, learned to write at a very good eastern boarding school (all boys, btw), and the default for unknown gender was indeed him. Just as mankind implicitly included women.

AlinStLouis in reply to Edward. | May 10, 2023 at 1:58 pm

Jane Austen used singular “they/their/theirs,” so it’s nothing new or incorrect.

nordic prince in reply to Paul. | May 9, 2023 at 2:28 pm

I started kindergarten in the late 60s, and in my schooling third-person plural for unknown gender would not have been acceptable.

Teachers in grade school teach a lot of things that are incorrect, such as the prohibitions on split infinitives and ending sentences with a proposition.

Edward in reply to E Howard Hunt. | May 9, 2023 at 12:50 pm

I guess the person who downvoted your correction doesn’t believe in using grammatically correct English. And indeed, rewriting the dictionary and rules of grammar is a major way the mischief started.

According to Megyn Kelly, the person behind the anti-Tucker leak campaign is fox news vp for pr, Irena Briganti.

Can confirm the pronoun thing as to CVs and application materials. Recently retired after 40 years in the law, and as managing partner in a mid sized law firm for the last 10 years. Reviewed dozens of CVs during that time and would routinely shitcan any with woke material in them.

Paul in reply to Strelnikov. | May 9, 2023 at 11:18 am

Good point. We should probably pipe-down on this topic and let them continue to wear their pronouns like a badge of progressive cray-cray honor. And then we can all just quietly choose not to hire or associate with the idiots.

Those stations are indeed left wing propaganda operations. IMO proof is failure to cover all the Biden catastrophes, like the border, in any serious way – or show any interest in the laptop or Biden family influence peddling. Fox is not a right wing propaganda operation, at least with respect to The Five, which always has a liberal on the show, who gets respect and air time. I have said for years that the biggest danger to this country is the Fourth Estate, and it ain’t Fox.

I view anyone who states their pronouns as a lawsuit looking for a place to happen.

Paul in reply to JohnC. | May 9, 2023 at 12:49 pm

Yup. It’s kinda like the old saying about having sex with crazy chicks…. ‘don’t stick it in crazy, no matter how hot she is.’

Similar deal for employers here. If they’ve got pronouns on their CV, don’t hire them no matter how qualified they might appear to be.

As a His Majesty, and a Your Highness, I am deeply troubled by this latest Tucker leak.

Maybe the leaks are a cheap way to promote Tucker by Tucker.

Un probable since Fox has gone to the dumpter IMO, but one rule always applies in following the media. Trust no one.

I’m starting to think that these leaks are aimed not at Tucker but at Fox for canning him

Maybe but the wokiestas believe their own BS. Those caught up in the new woke orthodoxy of the importance of pronouns wear such blinders as to make them oblivious to the opinions of the rest of the world outside their bubble of orthodoxy.

That marketing exec for Bud Light is a prime example. They believe the pendulum has shifted in the teal world when in fact it has only shifted among their circle and where employers, public and private, force this upon people. Many people when operating in a free market with no thumb on the scale from above make different choices. See market share declines for Bud Light.

Maybe I should start a GoFundMe account for Media Matters. It’s doing great work and could really use the money!

healthguyfsu | May 9, 2023 at 11:34 am

I have read that several people through LinkedIn get more job offers and interest as soon as they remove their pronouns from their bio. I call that poetic justice.

Paul in reply to healthguyfsu. | May 9, 2023 at 1:41 pm

It’s like having purple hair or tattoos on your face… “I just can’t understand why nobody wants to hire me!!”

John Sullivan | May 9, 2023 at 12:03 pm

If I am ever asked what my pronouns are, I will just say “I, Me, Mine”. (H/T to George Harrison).

ThePrimordialOrderedPair | May 9, 2023 at 2:08 pm

If you’ve got pronouns in your Twitter bio you shouldn’t be trusted with any responsibilities because you are, obviously, a deranged moron and, very likely, much, much worse.

ChrisPeters | May 9, 2023 at 2:51 pm

If I were a teacher, the first day of school each year would have me informing my students that I will be using the pronouns that God gave them.

FOX is leaking what they imagine is the most damaging stuff they have on Tucker – and it makes him look great.

Its just going to get more pathetic from here out.

Professor is absolutely right with that Tweet at the end of the article: All the rest are nothing but D propaganda outfits, and have been for well over a half century each (in some cases, since their inception). What’s obscene is that they pretend to be “news”.

I’m sorry. What’s the problem?

I throw EVERY resume with pronouns in the trash, period. Sue me.

Before I retired, I had wished there was a way to determine the sex of the sender of emails. I received so many that just signed “Pat”, “Chris”, “Alex”,etc.

When trying to maintain a professional, rather than personal tone, you respond with “Dear Mr. xxxx”, they seemed to get very upset.
