Israel Eliminates Terrorists Who Murdered a Jewish Mother And Her Two Daughters in Roadside Ambush

Netanyahu: “It doesn’t matter where you try to hide, we’ll find you. Whoever harms us forfeits his life.”

After nearly four weeks of manhunt, the Israeli security forces have eliminated three terrorists involved in the murder of a British-Israeli mother and her two daughters in a roadside shooting near the Palestinian town of Jericho.

In a joint operation conducted by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), the Shin Bet security agency, and police special forces, at least three terrorists were killed and eight injured in the Palestinian town of Nablus. Two of the slain terrorists were members of the Islamic terrorist group Hamas, the Israeli TV channel i24news confirmed.

On April 7, Palestinian gunmen ambushed the car carrying 48-year-old Lucy Dee and her daughters Rina, 15, and Maia, 20. The daughters were declared dead at the scene, while their mother died of her injuries a few days later. Their father, Rabbi Leo Dee, traveled in a separate car and witnessed the gruesome shooting.

Palestinian ‘worshipers’ on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount were seen cheering the deadly attack on the Rabbi’s wife and daughters. They gleefully handed out sweets in the West Bank streets in celebration, the video clips circulating on social media show.

No casualties were reported on the Israeli side. However, a dog belonging to Israel’s police canine unit died “while shielding” soldiers from the terrorist gunfire, the Israeli media reported. “A beloved Border Police canine was killed during an Israeli military raid in Nablus on Thursday, during which the terrorists that had murdered Lucy Dee and her daughters Maya and Rina were killed,” the Israel Hayom newspaper confirmed. “Seven years old, Django participated in hundreds of operations by the Yamam counterterrorism unit to arrest individuals suspected of terror activity,” the daily added.

The Jerusalem Post reported Thursday’s successful counter-terrorism operation:

The IDF, the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and Police SWAT and border security teams on Thursday killed at least three terrorists in Nablus who were behind the Dee family murders. (…)

The three killed terrorists were Hassan Katan, Maad Mitzri and Ibrahim Hura. Katan and Mitzri were the killers of the Dee family and are members of Hamas and Hura was a key accomplice. A fourth Palestinian civilian bystander, Ziad Shuviri, was reportedly killed during the operation.

A statement by the IDF and Shin Bet mentioned a gunfight between the forces, but the Jerusalem Post has indications that an explosive drone was used.

A senior official from IDF Central Command said that the operation was completed at an unusually fast speed, within only one hour, as opposed to the usual multiple to several hours.

He said that “With less talent and exactness [in intelligence and operations], more IDF personnel or Palestinian civilians could have been hurt” or the terrorists might have escaped.

However, he did add that eight Palestinians were injured, while saying none of them had been innocent bystanders.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant welcomed the news of security forces hunting down the terrorist culprits after a month-long search.

The Times of Israel reported the Israeli government’s response:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised Israeli security forces for “settling the score” with the alleged killers.

“Our message to those who harm us and those trying to harm us is that it may take a day, a week or a month, but be sure that we’ll settle the score with you. It doesn’t matter where you try to hide, we’ll find you. Whoever harms us forfeits his life,” the premier said in a statement.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant also hailed the Thursday morning operation in Nablus.

“I commend our security forces for eliminating the terror squad that carried out the heinous attack in Hamra, which took the lives of Lucy Dee, and her daughters Rina and Maia. Just as I promised Leo, the father of the family, the long arm of the defense establishment will reach any terrorist,” Gallant said on Twitter.

Rabbi Leo Dee, whose wife and daughters were killed in the West Bank terrorist attack, also responded to the justice being served to the murders.

The news website Ynet reported:

Rabbi Leo Dee spoke to Ynet after the raid and expressed relief that the killers of his wife and daughters were no longer able to harm anyone else.

“The world will be able to sleep better when these terrorists are no longer alive. I am very happy to hear that no soldier or civilian was hurt or affected in the event. It is a mission that only the IDF and the Shin Bet can do,” he said.

“We are proud to live in a country where security forces are so precise and skilled, and we are very grateful to the army and forces for assassinating the terrorists.”

Despite Israel’s latest success against Palestinian terrorists and jihadists, the Jewish State continues to battle terrorism. Hours after the counter-terrorist operation in Nablus, a knife-wielding female terrorist attacked an Israeli soldier near Nablus.

A female “assailant stabbed an IDF soldier in the town of Huwara. The soldier was lightly injured, pushed away the assailant and neutralized her along with an additional soldier in the area,” the IDF said in an initial statement seen by the Legal Insurrection. “The soldier received initial medical treatment at the scene and was evacuated to a hospital for further medical treatment. His family has been notified,” the IDF added.

Statement by Israeli PM @netanyahu, on the Israeli security forces eliminating the Palestinian terrorists who murdered Lucy, Maya and Rina Dee.

    The Prime Minister of Israel

    Statement by Prime Minister Benjamin
    Netanyahu:

“This morning, we settled accounts with the murderers of Lucy, Maya and Rina Dee, may their memories be blessed.

Our message to those who harm us, and those who want to harm us, is that whether it takes a day, a week or a month – you can be certain that we will settle accounts with you. It does not matter where you try to hide – we will find you. Whoever attacks us will pay the price.

I would like to thank the security agencies and our brave soldiers who worked night and day to settle accounts with the murderers.”

I hear the Russians have the same attitude toward terrorists. Biden seems determined to test that philosophy, with nukes on the table.

Considering the Russians bankrolled terrorist movements around the world, maybe they should be a little more humble.

Very effective but the press is misleading. I am at the airport now but n Tel Aviv after having my lunch in the Arab quarter of the old city in Jerusalem.

I traveled all over Israel in and out of the West Bank. There are crazies obviously but just as obviously the Israeli security forces, Palestinian police and the Jordanian guards on Temple Mount seem to work together pretty well to ensure a safe experience for tourists and locals.

I am told that this is the busiest tourist season in the history of the country and it looks like.

Thousands of tourists all over including Temple Mount. The Arab guards only reacted to people violating their rules on covering bare shoulders and legs (provided skirts for the ladies if necessary and made some put sweaters on to cover shoulders). Also no public display of affection among couples but their rebukes though loud were pretty moderate.

There is indeed cooperation (and agreements) between Israeli security forces and PA forces, but as I covered in the past, Israeli military often confronts PA security forces when they go after wanted terrorists in the West Bank. The PIJ and Hamas can’t operate so freely in the PA territories without their protection.

    What a tolerant group

Mauiobserver in reply to healthguyfsu. | May 5, 2023 at 5:23 am

Not necessarily tolerant but in a day to day basis most of them are just trying to live a normal life.

I saw poverty in Israel and Palestinian controlled areas, but far more prosperity. There were whole communities of quote Jewish settlements with homes in pre ‘67 war Jordan that would not be out of place in the wealthiest neighbourhoods in Maui. In the Palestinian areas there were many, many similar homes and also some clearly poor parts. I ate at Arab restaurants deep in the West Bank (Jericho).

The lessons I learned were that 1 our corporate media reports are fiction and 2 that I don’t think that there will be solution to the Arab vs Jewish question will be devised by humans.

I don’t think that short of a Devine solution that the conflicts wil ever end.

In 2005 my wife, daughter and I went on several tours. Two of them went through West Bank areas, and I didn’t even realize it until later. Restaurants in Israel had a small charge on the bill for the guy who sits outside with an Uzi. We felt completely safe wherever we went.

I love these kinds of stories! Not really Israel-related, but when I was in Panama, I was at first shocked to see the Uzi guys standing outside restaurants / shopping malls, but I was glad they were there. It’s just something you don’t expect to see if your main travel experiences have been in America, Canada, and Europe.

This is good news. Terrorists are cowards afraid to attack those who can defend themselves. I understand the suffering of the Palestinians (mostly caused by other Arabs) , but these terrorists were simply rabid dogs that needed to be put down. If any of their family and friends opposed their terrorism, they have my sympathy but I doubt any deserve it.

First France is eliminating terror threats without forever wars, elimination of liberties and patriot act type things, now Israel…..it is as if democracies are just fine fighting terror without a national security state.

That dog was worth more than their scumbag lives combined.

At the very core of the problem are differences between the religious and political ideological beliefs of the people.

Hamas very likely shall label Hassan Katan and Maad Mitzri as martyrs.

In the Hamas dictionary, a martyr is a synonym of a murderer who is to be glorified for striking fear and loss of life in others Hamas opposes.

What’s this? The Israeli government is finally realizing that there can be no peace with the arab terrorists (took them long enough) and is now actively eliminating the worst of those terrorists? Good for them. They need to keep pounding on these arab terrorists until they either stop committing terrorist acts (not likely) or are eliminated and no longer a threat to Israel or Israeli citizens.

How different from the USA!
There, terrorists face either:
1. (Best case scenario) military tribunals (if this is even still an option)
or
2. Criminal justice system, which will not deliver speedy justice
