Iran Unveils New Long-Range Missile “Kheibar” Named After 7th Century Muslim Massacre of Jews

While the Biden White House is still hoping for a nuclear deal with Iran, the regime has launched a new nuclear-capable ballistic missile with a range of up to 1200 miles, Iranian state media reported Thursday.

The newly unveiled Khorramshahr-4, modeled on North Korea’s Musudan ballistic missile, can reach Israel and parts of southern Europe. The missile is also called Kheibar, named after the Jewish town destroyed by Prophet Muhammad and his followers in the 7th century.

While unveiling the missile, the Shia-Islamic regime made no secret of its hostile intentions towards the Jewish State. “The Kheibar missile — the latest version of the Khorramshahr which is Iran’s longest-range missile to date — was unveiled alongside a replica of the Al-Aqsa mosque in east Jerusalem, in a live broadcast on state television,” the TV channel France24 reported.

The Associated Press reported Friday:

Iran unveiled on Thursday what it called the latest iteration of its liquid-fueled Khorramshahr ballistic missile amid wider tensions with the West over its nuclear program.Authorities showed off the Khorramshahr-4 to journalists at an event in Tehran, with the missile on a truck-mounted launcher.Defense Minister Gen. Mohammad Reza Ashtiani said the missile could be prepared for launch in a short period.“One of the prominent characteristics of this missile is its ability to evade radar detection and penetrate enemy air defense systems, thanks to its low radar signature,” the general told journalists. “This missile has the capability to utilize various warheads for different missions.”Iranian officials described the missile as having a 2,000-kilometer (1,240-mile) range with a 1,500-kilogram (3,300-pound) warhead. They also released undated video footage purportedly showing a successful launch of the missile. The Khorramshahr has the heaviest payload of Iran’s ballistic missile fleet, which analysts say may be designed to keep the weapon under a 2,000-kilometer range limit imposed by the country’s supreme leader. That puts most of the Mideast in range, but falls short of Western Europe. (…)The missile also is called Kheibar, after a Jewish fortress conquered by the Muslims in the 7th century — in what is now Saudi Arabia.Regional tensions likely played a role in Iran’s missile display Thursday. A miniature example of Jerusalem’s golden Dome of the Rock on the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, a holy site in both Islam and Judaism that Jews call the Temple Mount, stood next to the mobile launcher.Iran views Israel as its archenemy and arming anti-Israeli militant groups in the Palestinian territories and surrounding countries. Tensions between the two nations are high, particularly as Iran enriches uranium closer than ever to weapons-grade levels. The Khorramshahr would be able to reach Israel. It remains unclear, however, why the missile has been called Khorramshahr-4 as only two other variants of the missile are publicly known. It is modeled after North Korea’s Musudan ballistic missile, which is believed to have up to a 4,000-kilometer (2,485-mile) range with a 500-kilogram (1,100 pound) payload.

Kheibar signifies the genocide and mass-enslavement of Jews in the Arabian Peninsula. In a 2013 article, the Jerusalem Post explained Kheibar as a reference “to the Muslim massacre of the Jews of the town of that name in northwestern Arabia in 628 CE.” The newspaper added that after “the attack, some Muslims, including Muhammad, took surviving women as wives.”

The Kheibar massacre is are still glorified at anti-Israel events across the world. Islamic agitators from Ramallah to Rotterdam chant “Khaybar Khaybar, ya yahud, Jaish Muhammad, sa yahud,” an Arabic battle cry meaning: “Jews, remember Khaybar, the army of Muhammad is returning.”

Iran is not satisfied with building ever-deadlier missiles capable of reaching the Jewish State. It is also arming Gaza-based Hamas and Lebanese Hezbollah to build forward attack bases along Israel’s northern and southern border.

During the recent Muslim month of Ramadan, Iran tried to drag Israel into two-front warfare by prompting rocket and terrorist attacks from southern Lebanon and Gaza. The Iranian regime’s foreign terrorist arm, the “Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Quds Force ,coordinated with the Hamas and Hezbollah terrorist organizations to launch rockets at Israel from Lebanon during the Passover holiday,” the Jerusalem Post reported April 15.

Biden’s failed policy on Iran

Since the Biden White House abandoned President Donald Trump’s policy of ‘Maximum Pressure’ and began easing sanctions in hopes of reviving the Obama-era nuclear deal, Iran has advanced its nuclear weapons program and developed a missile program capable of delivering nuclear warheads beyond the Middle East.

In February, United Nations inspectors detected near-weapons-grade uranium at an Iranian nuclear site,” The Wall Street Journal reported. The uranium recovered by the inspectors is “at nearly 84% is almost at weapons-grade levels of 90% — meaning any stockpile of that material could be quickly used to produce an atomic bomb if Iran chooses,” The Associated Press disclosed.
