Tucker Carlson Enjoying Time With His Wife: ‘Retirement is Going Great so Far’

“I haven’t eaten dinner with my wife on a weeknight in seven years.”

Tucker Carlson doesn’t seem bothered about not being with Fox News. He spoke briefly with The Daily Mail in Florida:

The TV firebrand shrugged off the media storm and insisted he was more interested in enjoying a romantic date with his wife Susan as he broke his silence in an exclusive chat with DailyMail.com.

‘Retirement is going great so far,’ chuckled Carlson, 53, as he emerged from his $5.5 million beach home in Boca Grande, Florida on Tuesday night.

‘I haven’t eaten dinner with my wife on a weeknight in seven years.’

Pressed on his future, the flame-throwing former host of Tucker Carlson Tonight flashed a broad smile and joked: ‘Appetizers plus entree.’

Tucker married Susan, his college sweetheart, in 1991. They have four children: Buckley, Dorothy, Lillie, and Hopie.

Politico reported that the upper brass of the military cheered Carlson’s departure due to his criticisms of military policies implemented by the Biden administration.

All Carlson said was, “Ha! I’m sure.”

We still do not know why Tucker Carlson and Fox News parted ways. I don’t want to entertain rumors or “sources.” Former producer Abby Grossberg seems to think her lawsuit against Carlson, alleging bullying, sexism, and anti-Semitism while on the job. The liberal media is eating that up.

We also don’t know what Carlson will do. Glenn Beck and The Daily Wire said they would offer him a job.

Ouch! I chose specific names for my kids that my extended family couldn’t make diminutives out of. His all came built in.

I’m sure Tucker already has plenty of offers made and choices to consider. Hope he continues to enjoy this brief respite before jumping back into the fray however, wherever he decides to do so.

He should go to CNN. It would totally change the trajectory of the network.

    He’s BT, DT.

That’s the same idea I had. It would change cnn back to what it was many years ago when Turner started it. They would lose the 13 viewers they have now but gain millions overnight. Tucker could even negotiate a partial ownership role to make sure his program could not be overridden by some left-wingnut like a Murdoch. With their reputation and the poor performing personnel, he would transform it. He actually worked for them in the past. Wherever he ends up, he will transform that entity.

Tucker is a smart guy. I imagine he’ll learn from what numerous others have done in recent years and set up his own production company and ‘go direct’ to his viewers. That way he can retain ownership of his content… that’s where the real money is in the long run.

The latest news about what’s going on at Fox News is on all the news except Fox News.

If the top military brass are cheering Tucker’s departure due to his criticism of their implementing Pedo Joe’s policies, it seems a reasonable conclusion that neither do they give a damn about the American people, and would just as soon hand is over to the NWO overlords as not.

And they wonder why recruitment is down….

The creation of an entirely new cable/tv network would be interesting. Maybe the Twit network. Or TweetTV. Or maybe a better name because those two names suck. FOX was founded 1986; FOXNEWS 1991; a new broadcasting company would be YUUGE..

“Former producer Abby Grossberg seems to think her lawsuit against Carlson, alleging bullying, sexism, and anti-Semitism while on the job. The liberal media is eating that up.”

When they ffirst start, legit claims, and sling-shotting off a rising star look exactly the same.

I do wonder if there isn’t an “equal protection” — er — protection with some of these. “No, it wasn’t discrimination. I’m a jerk to everyone. Always have been. BTW, you knew that on the way in.”

This is a painful reminder that Fox News is not a conservative company, FNC is a NYC media company that sells to a conservative market.

    Why is it “painful”?

Why have expectations for a large company made of many people to have a definitive political bent?

I’d be happy if large corporations worked hard to steer clear of social issues and politics in general to the extent they can and advocate only on the politics of economic issues.

tbonesays in reply to OleDirtyBarrister. | April 26, 2023 at 3:57 pm

Well no one denies that NYT, NBC etc etc have a definitive political bent. We at least hoped that there was one exception in the MSM.

You obviously haven’t asked any of those companies (or most of their rabid viewers) about that subject. They will tell you with a straight face that they are right down the middle, no lean at all. Seriously.

It’s only people outside their bubble, looking in, that can tell they’re biased.

What you are describing is limited censorship not free speech.

I’ll scan their crappy website for factual, non political news but don’t normally spend more than 10 minutes. One of the crappiest news sites around from a layout stand point.
I think they still have “news” stories that originated a few months ago still on their main page.

The news reports said that senior DOD officials cheered his departure, it did not say that officers, and hence “the brass”, did so.

They may have been glad to because Milley has taken a beating, but the DOD is overrun will liberal political appointees.

The American military lied about Afghanistan for 20 years. The force they put together didn’t last as long as the 800 Cubans in Grenada. Does anyone at this point care about their opinion?

I just hope he will find a place on a large media platform that will allow him to reach a large audience. We are in desperate need of common sense reporting and commentary.

His tweet was at 13 million a few minutes ago. I think he’ll do just fine as his followers will find and share his comments wherever he’s found.

He will out draw Joe Rogan

Rogan is of a certain taste, hip, young following despite being what late 40’s , early 50’s? Supported Bernie, hip thing you know, socialism for thee, not for me

He was a fighter , is a comic, has a club he opened this year in “hip” Austin , the city of 5-10,000 homeless

Interviews interesting people all the while toting on MJ and cigars

He’s a decent interviewer, not not in TC league of intellect in my opinion, definitely better than someone like Hannity

TC will have his own podcast and barring the government shutting everything down, which I wouldnt put past them, he will have even a larger, more diverse audience

He will be a billionaire when it’s all done and said..

The most the left can do is cast shadows at the truth.

Think about what we are all talking about. We just lost the one man who was speaking the truth and that we could actually believe. In all of America, there is but one honest voice being aired. That is what is so staggering. There is a lot more to this than Murdoch just disagreeing with Tucker. He has lost over a billion dollars already and will lose much much more in the future. That tells me that this came from a much higher authority than Murdoch and he has been assured that he will be repaid.

Well, I think it’s time to say bye bye to Fox News, same as Bud Light, and Maybelline. The list keeps growing…
