FBI Links Words Like ‘Based,’ ‘Red Pill,’ ‘Looksmaxxing’ With ‘Violent Extremism’

It’s all very…sexual. The FBI targets “incels,” people who are “involuntary celibate” and want to “commit violence in support of their beliefs that society unjustly denies them sexual or romantic attention, to which they believe they are entitled.”

I remember when famed independent Seattle record company Sub Pop tricked The New York Times with a supposed “grunge lexicon.” You can still read the 1992 article. It’s hilarious. If you’re into that era of music, you know what I’m talking about.

But I’m not here to dive into music, even though that’d be fun.

I bring up Sub Pop because I think of that trick when I read stories about the FBI, any government agency, or official warning people about the dangerous lexicon.

The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project received FBI documents listing words associated with violent extremism.

You know what makes the situation even creepier? It’s all very…sexual. The FBI targets “incels,” people who are “involuntary celibate” and want to “commit violence in support of their beliefs that society unjustly denies them sexual or romantic attention, to which they believe they are entitled.

What. The. Heck.

Most words or phrases are ones we hear every day:

The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project said it used a Freedom of Information Act request to expose FBI documents that include glossaries showing that common internet slang has been flagged as an indication of “Involuntary Celibate Violent Extremism” or “Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremism.”

Part of the document refers specifically to “incels,” or those “involuntary celibate,” whom the “threat overview” describes as possibly seeking to “commit violence in support of their beliefs that society unjustly denies them sexual or romantic attention, to which they believe they are entitled.”

The assessment notes, “While most incels do not engage in violence,” some have been involved in “at least five lethal attacks in the United States and Canada.”

Many of the terms mentioned in the FBI’s list of incel terminology are either widely used across the internet or innocuous in nature.

The one term in the glossary is “Red Pill,” which comes from the 1999 film “The Matrix” and has been used a metaphor for seeing hidden or politically incorrect truths about the modern world, particularly when it comes to politics or dating.

But then there are words and phrases that make no sense:

The list also included the term “Looksmaxxing” which is defined in the document as the “process of self-improvement with the intent to become more attractive.”

The list also includes the term “LARPing,” which was originally used to describe people engaged in live-action roleplay, often as characters in high-fantasy settings.

It would suck if your name is Chad because it’s on the list. The FBI claims it’s a “Race-specific term used to describe idealized version of a male, who is successful at gaining sexual and romantic attention from women. Incels unsuccessfully compete against Chad for attention.”

Then there’s Stacy: “Idealized version of a female, who is very successful at gaining sexual and romantic attention from men. Chooses Chad over incels.”

This sounds like the FBI hires the same sorts of mentally unstable or sensitive individuals that editors who rewrite older books use to censor them. I have no idea what some of these words mean or how they are used, but I do know a couple girls named Stacy and both could use Looksmaxxximizing. I word that sounds more juvenile rather than political.

Anybody know what Nina is doing these days? Besides singing in the shower?

Appreciate your points … but suggest you tread lightly over one 9f them, friend. Here at L-I there’s a Stacey who regularly contributes columns, and always seems well-appreciated.

(Perhaps the modified spelling makes a difference.)

Geez, no wonder the Nashville shooter flew under the radar

Nashville shooter sounds like an INCEL, according to the FBI’s defnition

Trannies aren’t incels. “Incel” is a leftwing boogeyman they use to attack men’s rights activists and distract from tranny violence.

They tried to link Jordan Peterson to “incels” as a way to discredit him.

Well, that’s kind of the joke. The FBI is looking at people who use the word “based” or attend Latin mass as potential violent extremists, while extremist ideology on the left gets a pass.

If you want an immediate cessation in the use of fossil fuels, a move that would certainly result in the collapse of civilization and hundreds of millions, perhaps billions of deaths, you’re an “activist”, not an “extremist”. Similarly, the guy who shot at police in the woods near Atlanta wasn’t considered an extremist. The transexual who shot up a Christian school? Well, they refuse to let us see what her ideology was, but they expect us to take their word it wasn’t extremist. Want to abolish the police? Even if you burn down stores and seize hostile control of several city blocks, you’re not a “violent extremist”.

You sure she was ‘under the radar’? I doubt it.

When words can no longer be used how will the left keep us fighting each other?

The latest Newspeak has been released.

Never heard of “looksmaxxing.” That’s probably made up by the FBI.

henrybowman in reply to Othniel. | April 10, 2023 at 4:18 pm

The FBI either doesn’t really understand some of these words, or they have a hard time expressing themselves.

For example, LARPing simply means “pretending to be someone other than what one obviously is.” Like beaded guys pretending to be women, crazy fat chicks pretending to be Antifa Xenas, the “trans warrior” with all the body armor and firepower all shiny clean out of the box pretending to be anything but a walking B-27 target, or Joe Biden pretending to be the guy in charge of America.

Looksmaxxing is pretty much exclusively a male term. And its relationship to the right-wing ethos is probably best decsribed by this short comic.

    It’s like T J Max-ing, but different.

nordic prince | April 10, 2023 at 2:03 pm

The FBI is full of LARPers.

See J6.

So… we’re paying the FBI to spend all their time on 4chan and reddit?

Uh, ok. I link the FIB with violent extremism – and entrapment, and political persecution, and witness tampering, and planted evidence, and malicious prosecution, and false flags, and disinformation, and and and &&&&

Is Defund on that list

Why are these vile, totalitarian Dumb-o-crats perennially acting so niggardly in their judgments of words in common use?

Not only that.

“The FBI recently sought to develop sources inside Christian churches and Catholic dioceses as part of an effort to combat domestic terrorism, according to internal documents released by House Judiciary Committee on Monday.

The internal documents — obtained last month by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and Rep. Mike Johnson, R-La., who are also members of the so-called Weaponization Subcommittee — showed the FBI planned to use churches as “new avenues for tripwire and source development.” The federal law enforcement agency also aimed to specifically target “mainline Catholic parishes” as part of its efforts.”

The American Stasi.

You have to wonder if they have a quota of “red flag terms” or if they just collect anything they don’t recognize and assume it’s evil. It’s hard to believe they mean any of this seriously.

It would be interesting if there was a list of good words, names, phrases and beliefs.

We can hazard a guess as to the words and assorted lexicon on that list: “Undocumented immigrant; pro-choice; Dumb-o-crat; drag queen; transgender; gender non-binary; person of color; BIPOC; Muslim; Latinx;” etc., etc.

This sounds an awful lot like an FBI that is no longer capable of an actual investigation of violations of the law, but can only Google for word matches.

They need very heavy house cleaning. Get the pink-slip machine warmed up. Wray and several levels under him need to go. I’m sure most of them will make good CNN contributors.

But the FBI and Homeland Security are totally not spying on Citizens of the US as they continually testify./s

Guys, this has been going in one form or another for decades. The surveillance ramped up post 9/11 and kept growing. What do we have to show for it in terms of domestic threats being stopped v the civil liberties infringed? Not much that the govt wants to claim credit for and a whole lot of violence acts of ‘known wolves’ who they knew about but didn’t stop. Repeal the Patriot Act and the security state apparatus including TSA and we would be far better off IMO.

Danny in reply to CommoChief. | April 10, 2023 at 8:37 pm

I would go a major step further.

Department of Homeland Security-Disbanded no replacement. Civilized nations have law enforcement enforce their laws and militaries protect their borders they do not create double speak named agencies that do nothing but cause trouble for citizens.

FBI-Disbanded, replaced by an organization to be build by highly recommended cops from across the country with zero inside knowledge of or association with the FBI, all FBI personnel who can’t prove they stood against FBI as it is now blacklisted by the FBI successor organization, Hoover building bulldozed.

Folks, just sit back in your living rooms and take it easy. Enjoy the rewind of history, as we make it half way through the reboot of the Weimar Republic.

You know what’s coming next.

The FBI is a rogue and unaccountable organization

BierceAmbrose | April 10, 2023 at 8:24 pm

They can’t have people saying “LARPing”; people might start thinking about what’s real, and what’s fake.

I link FBI with tyranny in the first degree

Amazing. OK five “incels” conduct mass shootings in, what, a decade? And the FBI wants to think there’s an organized movement they can infiltrate?

But we’ve seen as many trans shooters in a year, and I bet there’s not a single officer monitoring some of the groomers.

So, is a ARM-based Mac computer racist ?

BierceAmbrose | April 11, 2023 at 9:39 pm

Nice job from the FEEBS.

Now do “equity.”
