British Climate Zealots Return to Boston, Slashing Tires on 43 SUVs

The smug group of destructive moralists left notes on the cars targeted, filled with questionable wit and snide remarks.

Last summer, I reported that A British group of eco-zealots group called “The Tyre Extinguishers” were active in this country and claimed they’ve deflated tires on dozens of SUVs in several major cities, including New York, Chicago, and the Bay Area.

The group appears to be back again this spring, and vandalized over 40 SUVs in the Boston area.

Eco-zealots have dramatically returned to the US to wreak havoc on Boston as they slashed forty-three tires on luxury SUVs in the name of climate activism.

Residents in the sleepy community of Beacon Hill became the latest victims of the maddening mob, who dub themselves the ‘Tyre Extinguishers’.

The climate-zealots have infuriated motorists on both sides of the Atlantic by purposefully deflating the tires on family vehicles, before leaving a condescending note telling their victims: ‘Your gas guzzler kills’.

Striking early in the morning before their targets are awake, the group exclusively deflates SUVs, which they feel ’cause more air pollution’ and ‘are more likely to kill people’.

The smug group of destructive moralists left notes on the cars targeted, filled with questionable wit and snide remarks.

Patronizing letters tucked beneath windshield wipers on the vandalized vehicles read in part: “We have deflated one or more of your tires. You’ll be angry, but don’t take it personally. It’s not you, it’s your car.”

“We did this because driving around urban areas in your massive vehicle has huge consequences for others. This is a machine that destroys life with terrifying efficiency.”

SUV owners who woke up to find their tires deflated were reassured: “You will have no difficulty getting around without your gas guzzler, with walking, cycling or public transit.”

The Boston Police Department has confirmed that officers responded to vandalism reports along Mount Vernon Street on Thursday morning and were investigating the incident, reported Boston Herald. Some 10 victims have been interviewed, but so far no arrests have been made.

At least one person missed a medical appointment because of the damage.

“Particularly in this neighborhood there are a number of elderly people who park on the street. This is a burden on them. I think it’s pretty unfair,” said another neighbor.

As Boston Police investigate, even the environmentally conscious on Beacon Hill say there are clearer, calmer ways to discuss the climate crisis.

“I understand why direct action to promote awareness is a thing. I don’t necessarily think that is the most productive or helpful way to send to message. Disrupting people’s days doesn’t actually get people to think about the problem, which is that we do need to be more mindful,” one woman added.

These people need to be hunted down and a price extracted for their fascism!

When they slash the tires on private jets, especially those used by Bill Gates, John Kerry, Zuckerbux et al of the usual suspects — THEN I’ll be impressed. The helpless old people that they’re bullying are not the problem. Only pick on people who can’t fight back, eh? Try it in my neighborhood. Punks.

If they tried it out here, they’d find out which was more dangerous — my truck, or its owner.

I’m with you there buddy. Either I get money to fix what was f*cked up or I take it out of their hide.

They are smart enough not to slash tires on pickups with a shovel and a tarp in the bed. Also, Boston is a safe place to do it. In Portland they would become “Coyote Helper” right quick.

So they do it in upper crust neighborhoods of two of the most gun-c0ntrolled cities in the US.

I wonder if there is some hint there on why?

Arrest and prosecute these idiots as the foreign terrorists that they plainly are.

Hit a few more of her tires, this one’s still asleep.

I so tire of this.

“ Translation: go terrorize someone else and stop bothering me and my rich friends.”

Yes. Go do this to those awful people who cling to their guns…. Oh. Wait…

Wait, . . . not . . . Boston!! Home of the Wokathon? That’s TTOOOOO bad!!!!!!!!

All together now: BOOOOOO HOOOOOO!

So: they flew across the Atlantic to protest air pollution? Lovely.

Quite seriously – how hard could they be to at least bring in for questioning?

They are all from Great Britain traveling on UK passports; they likely flew together, and stayed together. They no doubt traveled together on public transport (right?) and should be recognizable on at least one security camera somewhere given that we know the dates and likely time of travel on their return from their escapade. They’re members of a known group – at a minimum they’re in group photos to be found on the web. Their photos could be matched against those photos taken at immigration at the airport, which process also took their fingerprints.

But….nah, ain’t nuthin’ gonna happen

The people in charge of both the US and UK governments agree with these idiots, and likely are in cahoots. And if you did arrest them, they’d have the best legal representation (paid for by dark money, of course) and would turn the court into another circus.

Yeah, I’m going out on a limb and guess that they didn’t arrive by renewable energy sailing ship.

People kill cars don’t kill

What it does is p*ss people off and make them inclined to OPPOSE your agenda, not acquiesce to it. Add in the fact that a number of those SUVs belonged to elderly, who would have a harder time replacing the tires themselves and likely need to have their vehicles towed to be serviced, just makes this extra infuriating.

If you are in a residential area and need to have a car towed just to change the tire, then you live in a horrible neighborhood.

Edward in reply to Dathurtz. | April 24, 2023 at 9:52 am

It is Boston, after all. We know these people are parking on the street. We don’t know if it is an area of single family homes without driveways/garages or an apartment area. The latter might make obtaining help from neighbors a bit difficult. Not to mention if they deflated two tires (as the article alleges they have previously done), professional assistance will be necessary (even luxury SUVs generally do not have two spares- ).

Dathurtz in reply to Edward. | April 24, 2023 at 10:01 am

I guess. I am trying to imagine an elderly person calling literally any of the people around here and being told “No, sorry old person, I am busy.” If it is two tires, then at the least they’ll get a ride to a repair shop (they are destroying, not just deflating, right?).

I get it if the neighbor doesn’t reach out. But, if you have to reach out to a professional service, why not a neighbor?

Ironclaw in reply to Dathurtz. | April 24, 2023 at 10:18 am

Actually, it’s worse. Most SUV’s anymore are AWD and they require that you replace all four tires at the same time because tire diameter differences will screw up that system and possibly damage the vehicle.

Dathurtz in reply to Ironclaw. | April 24, 2023 at 11:12 am

        Ugh.

smalltownoklahoman in reply to Ironclaw. | April 24, 2023 at 3:36 pm

Annoying but also good to know, especially because it means a possible felony charge should one of these little shits be caught. IINAL but I thought below a certain monetary amount vandalism was only a misdemeanor. Having to replace one tire usually isn’t too bad, having to replace 4 drives up the cost dramatically. That could easily be $1000 or more depending on tire size and model and where you have the vehicle serviced.

The Gentle Grizzly in reply to Dathurtz. | April 24, 2023 at 4:36 pm

If more than one tire per vehicle is slashed, what solution can you offer short of either going back and forth to the tire shop twice, or flatbedding the vehicle to the tire shop?

I can put the old, damaged tires in my truck, drive to the tire shop and have them repaired/replaced, drive back, and put them on the car.

The only real problem I can see is if there is a money issue.

SDN in reply to Dathurtz. | April 25, 2023 at 6:59 am

Or a no second vehicle issue, because taxes, parking fees, etc. don’t make that practical in an urban environment.

What’s really laughable is that Beacon Hill is full of leftist “beautiful people” of the John Kerry variety (one of his many homes is there). These virtue signaling fools brought this upon themselves.

By the way, I’d put a round in the knee of anyone I fought screwing with MY property.

We’ve not seem them around our neighborhood in suburban north Georgia..hmmmm…wonder why?

2smartforlibs | April 24, 2023 at 10:47 am

So to prove their ignorance, they slash tires that now have to be replaced with oil-made tires. Next time try cutting off your head to stop CO2 emissions.

Tyre Extinguishers…
How Huxleywellian.
Do they wear patent leather jumpers and take Soma while pursuing the cause?

Well somebody paid their travel expenses. Isn’t there a law against financing criminal activity?

So, I know that something like the South African anti-carjacking underbody flame thrower is out of the question in America – it’s considered a deadly booby trap. But could we adapt something like the dye packets in bank money bags when you try to rob them? Just a nice hypoallergenic, non-GMO, no animals (other than AntiFa) harmed in testing, bright orange dye explosion if they screw with your car? Maybe add in a little pepper spray to cause inflammation?

Massinsanity | April 24, 2023 at 2:18 pm

All I heard in the local media was that tires were “deflated” but not slashed. Is there a source to confirm slashing because that’s a whole new level of crime in my mind. They targeted luxury SUVs and those tires can go $300+ each.

I drive a luxury SUV. Love it. Best car I have ever had. Almost 7 years old now and 130k miles but sill drives like the day I picked it up.

Don’t these morons realize that the best thing I can do for the environment is continue to drive this vehicle? Buying a new gas car means a supply chain for metal, plastic, rubber etc must be deployed and that means significant carbon creation related to creating the vehicle. Buying a new EV is even worse, the carbon footprint for a new EV is 2-3X that of a gas powered vehicle (due to the battery components) so my buying a new EV creates a massive step function in my carbon footprint compared to driving my existing SUV until it drops which is what I plan to do.

Subotai Bahadur | April 24, 2023 at 3:16 pm

You have to remember that according to the ruling powers both here and in Britain, if a Leftist commits an act that would be a crime if done by a mere citizen or even worse a Conservative; such is not to be considered a crime. Even if they were caught in a Leftist jurisdiction like Boston, the DA would refuse to prosecute. It is where we are.

Just to be clear…

Foreign nationals travel internationally into the US to do planned acts of destruction and disruption, to influence US politics n policy. Do I have that right?

Well, AG Garland’s docket is gonna be full for a while, I see. The Feebs will get right on this, I’m sure — wait, they’re busy “investigating.” Who, again? For what?
