Woman Behind Destruction of Roald Dahl’s Children’s Literature Described As ‘Non-Binary, Asexual, Polyamorous Relationship Anarchist’

Last weekend, I blogged about the destruction of Roald Dahl’s children’s literature in the name of wokeness. The outrage and backlash were so profound that Penquin decided that it will continue to publish the actual works of Dahl alongside the new non-Dahl versions—though it seems the completely rewritten texts (including the addition of entirely new sentences, paragraphs, etc.) will still be published as if they were his original works. They are not.
That this was a bad idea was immediately evident to the vast majority of people, thus the blowback and sudden change of plan; however, for some reason, Penguin’s Puffin Books decided it would be a grand idea to destroy the delightful children’s literature of Dahl at the urging of a person described as a “non-binary, asexual, polyamorous relationship anarchist who is on the autism spectrum.”
The woman who reportedly led the mission to bowdlerize the books of famed author Roald Dahl in order not to offend readers has described herself as a “non-binary, asexual, polyamorous relationship anarchist who is on the autism spectrum.”
The massive woke re-editing of Dahl’s books was largely perpetrated by an English group called Inclusive Minds. Jo Ross-Barrett, a former project manager at Inclusive Minds who headed the project, wrote on LinkedIn in 2022 that she was working on a secretive project involving “delivering a large-scale, comprehensive review of inclusion issues and potential solutions for copyright holders and publishers of one of the most famous classic children’s book collections in the world (specifics under NDA until publication),” National Review reported.
A profile of Barrett on the Inclusive Minds sight described her as “they/them” and a “writer and editor with a passion for championing inclusive content and policies. … Jo is an autistic, non-binary, asexual, polyamorous relationship anarchist. They work with Inclusive Minds to help authors and publishers make their books more authentically representative of marginalized groups, and have provided workshops and talks at A Place at the Table 2020 and the UK Asexuality Conference 2019,” The Daily Mail noted.
Inclusive Minds used “sensitivity readers” and “inclusion ambassadors” to edit children’s stories; the “ambassadors” could be as young as 8 years old. Some “ambassadors” included a trans-identifying poet and a queer, trans-identifying, and intersex person.
As I have noted previously, it is truly stunning that the vast majority of Americans (and the Western world) are being told that they have to change their entire worldview, principles, and morals to accommodate tiny segments of the population. This madness has to stop.

No, it has not been reversed. The fake woke Dahl books will still be published under his name. The only concession is that the publisher will continue to offer the originals rather than replace them completely. It’s not clear how the real Dahls will be marketed (if at all) or how consumers will know they are buying woke fakes rather than the classic children’s literature.
Before they reversed the decision they were not going to print the original version at all. Sounds like a reversal, even if you must nitpick.

You can’t be non-binary and asexual, nor asexual and polyamorous. That’s all just generally horny, can’t decide and lacking follow-through. And a “relationship anarchist” that specific is a special kind of crazy, that “on the spectrum” doesn’t begin to cover. That this is on “Inclusive Minds” is just gravy.
