Live cams show the migrants have dispersed and CBP & the Mexican military now have the bridge under control. However, the bridge is now closed to vehicle traffic, and has been for hours.

It doesn’t change the fact that a ton of migrants, mostly from Venezuela, tried to charge their way into the U.S. over a bridge connecting Mexico to El Paso, TX, on Sunday, demanding asylum.
The app that the Biden administration has bragged about has done nothing but cause frustration and anxiety among migrants. The CBP One app “allows migrants to make appointments up to two weeks and is being rolled out in eight ports of entry along the southern border, including Calexico and San Ysidro.”

Given that its apparent result is overwhelming irritation among the target audience, maybe it’s a good idea to just leave it there. As they come to realize that the bureaucracy in this country is at least as bad as what they’re used to, maybe some will decide to just stay home.

Under normal use, this app is to illegal immigration what the “TSA Preferred Traveler Program” is to air travel.
What are you on about? The app does not enable anyone to break the law. On the contrary, it allows people to schedule an asylum hearing legally, without having to break the law. Rather than crossing the border illegally, it lets someone in Mexico file an application and schedule an appointment to do it the right way, so what is your objection?

I know there will be no answer given, but I am curious as to what difference there is between this and similar events that happen every day on our southern border . . . and a hostile, foreign invasion of the United States? Immigrants get permission to enter before they come, those you are speaking of are criminal invaders and should be treated as such.
It would be really nice if the vile Dumb-o-crats began showing as much deference, concern and sympathy towards/for American citizens, as they currently extend to illegal aliens and criminals.

Here’s how the app works.
1. Are you Venezuelan or Cuban?
(which means you are more likely to be conservative…both of these groups when naturalized tend to vote more Republican than other Latinos)
2. If yes to #1, you are not allowed in. If you want free stuff and will vote Democrat in the future (even if not legal), then please proceed to the nearest agent for immediate entry.
I propose the America First app where they apply to remain in their country until they get a call. Hopefully, never.
If they need asylum then staying in their own country is by definition not an option. That’s why they’re in Mexico. Now they are legally entitled to a hearing on their asylum application, but getting a hearing is difficult. So rather than break the law by crossing the border and making themselves the Border Patrol’s problem, the app lets them apply from Mexico and wait there till their hearing comes up. But that only works if the app is functioning properly. And if people don’t spread false rumors that the border will be open on a particular day.
