‘I’m Back’: James O’Keefe Launches New Media Company After Project Veritas Ouster

“Remaining by my side are a small, tight knit group of the most elite journalists in the world.”

James O’Keefe announced his new media company O’Keefe Media Group on the Charlie Kirk Show.

Yes the acronym is OMG. Wouldn’t expect anything else from James! The video narration says:

O’KEEFE: “I spent 14 years creating the most effective non-profit newsroom this country has ever seen, And in paving the way to establish citizen journalism, I have been defamed, arrested, raided and ultimately removed from the organization I spent so much time developing credibility of. I always knew they would try to ruin the reputations of those who expose them, the pharma giants, the three letter government agencies and those who I thought I could trust. But in response, we are going to build an army of investigators and exposures day have awakened sleeping giant. I’m back! Remaining by my side are a small, tight knit group of the most elite journalists in the world. Exposing corruption requires standing up to power, because power hates sunlight. We are sunlight. Welcome to the O’Keefe Media Group, where we will never be shut down.”

Last month, O’Keefe resigned from Project Veritas shortly after the board of directors removed him as CEO. The board accused O’Keefe of spending too much of donor funds on personal luxuries.

The only thing about this announcement not expected is the cool name. Great to see Mr O’Keefe back in business!

Time for him the “Project Veritas” Project Veritas..

I fear they have awakened a sleeping giant, and filled him with a terrible resolve.

Taki Mag had a recent article about him. Taki Mag is a very conservative magazine. The essence of the article is that James is a true, flamboyant, show tune boy.

Life is a cabaret, old chum …

He certainly has a flair for exposing corruption in the way that evil people don’t much like.

And? O’Keefe has delivered results when no one else has, with all of legacy media and the government aligned against him. Project Veritas doesn’t exist if not for him. He has the balls to stand up to those who control discourse in America. A lot of times it takes a flamboyant front man to move the needle and get the attention needed. Remember Trump?

Obverse the years I’ve noticed that Taki himself often doth protest too much.

gonzotx in reply to E Howard Hunt. | March 15, 2023 at 4:50 pm

    What exactly does that mean?

The Gentle Grizzly in reply to gonzotx. | March 15, 2023 at 6:08 pm

Taki professes – a lot – his dislike for homosexuals. An article in his magazine skirts the issue with O’Keefe because Tacky deems this fact important.

To me, O’Keefe’s work matters far more.

Being America’s greatest expose journalist and being a show tune boy are not mutually exclusive.

I don’t believe in going out of my way to solicit diversity, but when it shows up and volunteers, it gets a great big welcome.

Milhouse in reply to E Howard Hunt. | March 15, 2023 at 6:31 pm

Taki’s Mag is not “very conservative”. Taki is an antisemite, and his magazine was edited for several years by Richard Spencer; it has also supported the Greek neo-Nazi “Golden Dawn” movement.

bullhubbard in reply to Milhouse. | March 16, 2023 at 10:25 am

It’s a grab-bag of anti-left articles, some of them quite amusing. The article on the subversion of Pop Tarts by queer activists is a hoot. Ann Coulter writes an essay in response to some of her emails–she’s always refreshing to listen to.

I need more content violently opposed to the neo-Marxist takeover of everything and this looks pretty good, despite your aversion to the taint of Spencer and Nazis and the usual leftist bugbears.

Frankly, if it came to the false choice between Spencer and someone like, say, Ibraim Kendi or Judith Butler as a thought leader, I’d side with Spencer. The left has made even opposition to racism toxic by redefining “race” and “racism,” never mind for now the left’s weaponization of the feminist/gay/trans political factions, political lobbies with philosophies pumped out of the same ideological hole.

And I’m not alone. The left has managed to polarize us citizens after a 60 +-year successful effort of subverting our institutions, politics as they are will lead to the destruction of the republic, and the sooner states begin seceding, the better for everyone.

Yet there are degrees of opposition to the left, just as there are degrees of populism, nationalism, and conservatism, but there is nothing redeemable about the left anymore, now that it has been totally dominated by the neo-Marxists.

“the taint of Spencer and Nazis and the usual leftist bugbears.”
Bugbears? So they don’t exist, or they do exist and they’re nothing to worry about?

“Frankly, if it came to the false choice between Spencer and someone like, say, Ibraim Kendi or Judith Butler as a thought leader, “
You’re the one who tossed in that choice, not Millhouse.

bullhubbard in reply to E Howard Hunt. | March 16, 2023 at 10:01 am

Thanks for the heads-up on Taki. Looks quite good. Here’s its mission statement:

“We at Taki’s Magazine take our politics like we take life—lightly.

“We believe political labels such as conservative and liberal are as outdated as flared trousers and Nazis.

“Ideology is a false god, a secular religion that seeks vainly to create a paradise on Earth.

Our only ideology is to be against the junk culture foisted upon us by Hollywood and the mainstream media, and mirages of a new world order.”

    Sounds good to me.

Aarradin in reply to E Howard Hunt. | March 16, 2023 at 10:08 pm

There has never been anything remotely conservative about Taki Mag.

Can’t keep a good man down.

Great to see him back on the job, exposing evil and corruption. But I suggest hiring some serious security and bodyguard type people. I wish I were free to join up and help protect them.

I wish him well. He has been like the old “60 Minutes” but from a conservative perspective. I respect him for being a real investigative journalist. I just hope the charges of spending donor’s money on personal luxuries is not true. That often happens in too many of these conservative non-profits.

gonzotx in reply to JR. | March 15, 2023 at 4:51 pm

It was very little money, very little

In a nonprofit, employees can be paid a salary commesurate to market rates for the job they’re in. Considering the likes of Don Lemon make 10+ million dollars a year, I think James is in the clear.

joejoejoe in reply to JR. | March 16, 2023 at 7:12 am

There never was an old 60 mins. Theyve always been lefty blowhard media primadonas

ahad haamoratsim in reply to JR. | March 16, 2023 at 1:25 pm

The press went after Netanyahu some years back for spending to much money on —-

ice cream, for crying out loud.

I re-upped. Early money is like yeast, and all that…

Some stories just write themselves. Congratulations, James,. OMG!

“Here are a few examples of what has been uncovered so far by PV Leadership (this is far from an exhaustive list, it is merely a small representative sample):”

-$14,000 on a charter flight to meet someone to fix his boat under the guise of meeting with a donor

-$60,000 in losses by putting together dance events such as Project Veritas Experience

-Over $150,000 in Black Cars in the last 18 months

-Thousands of dollars spent on DJ and other equipment for personal use

-Hundreds of other acts of personal inurement

“The Board wants to work things out with James, and has tried every route possible to remedy the issues at hand and begin to take the legally required corrective actions.”

Yeah, interesting list of claims. The only thing at the link I beleive unequivocally is this:

“But, more than anything, the Board cares about the donors of this organization…”

Is “O’Keefe Media Group” a not for profit corporation with a board that can fire him again or is it a corporation where James controls more than 50% of the ownership?

“I need to make clear I have not resigned from the company, Project Veritas, I founded 13 years ago. I was stripped of my position as CEO and Chairman.” — James O’Keefe (@JamesOKeefeIII) February 21, 2023

Mary Chastain reports that as: “Last month, O’Keefe resigned from Project Veritas shortly after the board of directors removed him as CEO.”

Steven Brizel | March 17, 2023 at 9:08 am

Good luck!

BierceAmbrose | March 18, 2023 at 11:19 pm

People who’s only value comes from their place in the organization don’t get people who’s value built the organization. And embedded parasites are more interested in the host going on — spending, and morale, say — than the mission.

And did these grifters not get that O’Keefe learned from Andrew Breitbart? Of course he’s gonna out maneuver them in the zeitgeist most of all.

That’s stupid three times. This board will get off easy if they only are stuck overseeing the decline of something that used to be something: their stepping stone to bigger mission-orgs sinking under their weight.
