AZ Gov. Katie Hobbs’ Press Secretary Resigns After Threatening Violence Against ‘Transphobes’ After Nashville Shooting

AZ Gov. Katie Hobbs’ Press Secretary Resigns After Threatening Violence Against ‘Transphobes’ After Nashville Shooting

“Us when we see transphobes” with a picture of a woman holding guns.

***UPDATE! Right after I posted this, news came out that Josselyn Berry resigned: “The Governor does not condone violence in any form. This administration holds mutual respect at the forefront of how we engage with one another. The post by the Press Secretary is not reflective of the values of the administration. The Governor has received and accepted the resignation of the Press Secretary.”

Original post…

Arizona Democrat Gov. Katie Hobbs’ press secretary Josselyn Berry thought this was intelligent to tweet after a transgender male shot and killed three kids and three adults at Nashville’s Covenant School.

“Us when we see transphobes.”

Child, we don’t even know the motive. We don’t know why Audrey Hale, a former student, attacked and killed six people.

We don’t know anything.

But since Audrey identified as transgender and it’s a Christian school, it must be because of transphobes.

Berry locked her account. Fox News reported that the tweet is gone “for violating the site’s rules.”

I can hear crickets from most leftists and Democrats.

Except from…Keith Olbermann.

Yes.

I guess she missed this violence was due to a tranny.

    Milhouse in reply to 2smartforlibs. | March 29, 2023 at 3:58 pm

No, she didn’t miss that. On the contrary, she knew that and took sides with the shooter.

The point of her tweet was that this is what “transphobes” deserve to have happen to them. On the assumption that that is what the Nashville shooter was doing.

alaskabob in reply to Milhouse. | March 29, 2023 at 4:28 pm

At least they were revolvers and no fully semiautomatic assault weapons. Rather large N Frame S&W Model 27 for the left hand there toots.

henrybowman in reply to alaskabob. | March 29, 2023 at 4:38 pm

And yet, she obviously didn’t learn a damn thing from the lessons of Rust.

        diver64 in reply to alaskabob. | March 29, 2023 at 6:51 pm

Looks like a K Frame to me.

          alaskabob in reply to diver64. | March 30, 2023 at 11:57 am

Perspective difficult with shadows but the overall height looks N. It would be a handful and the pistol in her right-hand is a smaller frame. The K would be a better fit but for the look of “big” in the movie…N fills the bill.

Olbermann making a rational comment? Even a blind pig finds an acorn once in a while.

So these are the people that Trump aligns himself with? That he supports? When Trump posts a picture of himself with a baseball bat about ready to kill the DA investigating him, I guess that was just a “mostly peaceful” post, right?

JR in reply to JR. | March 30, 2023 at 6:31 pm

Sorry, that was intended for a post on a totally different cite on a totally different issue. My bad.

Crickets because Democrats approve of her threat.

Insufficiently Sensitive | March 29, 2023 at 1:20 pm

Condolences to the citizens of Arizona, who’ve apparently elected a fool’s paradise as a Governor’s office.

    Ot was stolen, clearly

    Arrest Katie Hobbs NOW.

      Milhouse in reply to LB1901. | March 29, 2023 at 3:57 pm

Huh? For what? You can’t even arrest this Josselyn person.

alaskabob in reply to Milhouse. | March 29, 2023 at 4:23 pm

As much wishful thinking as the press secretary. The press secretary let her Freudian slip show.

henrybowman in reply to Milhouse. | March 29, 2023 at 4:41 pm

For tax reform impersonation. Or insurrection. Or making a phone call to a public official in Atlanta. Or domestic terrorism. Wait… I heard the bell go off when I got to that one. Domestic terrorism it is.

henrybowman in reply to henrybowman. | March 29, 2023 at 4:41 pm

          reform -> return… dammit

Milly, that was a tongue in cheek joke.

henrybowman in reply to henrybowman. | March 29, 2023 at 8:34 pm

It doesn’t matter that it isn’t. You arrest her anyway.
Just like Scott Smith, but not Will Smith.
Or (for hate crime murder) like James Alex Fields, but not Darrell Brooks, Jr.
Or (for public endangerment with a lethal weapon) like Tyler Burchard, but not Hunter Biden.
Or (for classified document abuse) like Donald Trump, but not Joe Biden, Barack Obama, or Hillary Clinton.
If you keep playing the game by last century’s rules, you gonna lose.
It’s time we leveled up and played just like the other team.

BierceAmbrose in reply to henrybowman. | March 29, 2023 at 11:23 pm

Sure looks like Domestic Terrorism as it’s lately being defined, investigated — the process is the punishment, charged, and sometimes punishment.

That’s also a literal threat of violence, because under the new rules there are no jokes.

BierceAmbrose in reply to henrybowman. | March 29, 2023 at 11:28 pm

“If you keep playing the game by last century’s rules, you gonna lose.
It’s time we leveled up and played just like the other team.”

The story, everywhere, every news cycle is Gov Machine Glitch’s lack of a full-throated repudiation. No denouncement is clear enough; this becomes the forever question for her.

And the contested election becomes part of the question every time. Throw in any issue, from gun “safety”, to education reform on top. “As a Gov of limited mandate, how can you be so bold?” “Don’t you think your lack of full-throated denial will further alienate people who already don’t feel represented by you; some repressed and abused, even.” Etc.

Milhouse in reply to henrybowman. | March 29, 2023 at 11:38 pm

If you want to arrest someone you need to have something to arrest them for. Otherwise they sue you. And “domestic terrorism” is not a charge that can be made against Hobbes, or even against her former flunky. Arrest either of them for that, and they’ll take your house and your pension. No qualified immunity.

        diver64 in reply to Milhouse. | March 29, 2023 at 6:53 pm

For what, indeed? She posted a stupid tweet about killing unknown “homophobes”. I’d fire her for taking the side of a mass murderer and being tasteless but other than that

          henrybowman in reply to diver64. | March 29, 2023 at 8:36 pm

This, from the side who exercises their “right” to call any person that crosses their path a homophobe, racist, supremacist, TERF, etc., at the drop of a hat.
Maybe I can outdraw that, but maybe I can’t.

Only her inner circle believes she won that election.

ahad haamoratsim | March 29, 2023 at 1:26 pm

What? The murderer was not a transsexual male. The murderer was a female who told herself she was really a male. She was no more a “male” than Sweet Loretta Martin (who thought she was a woman).

There is cause for trans/homosexuals to socially distance from others in the transgender spectrum, their former politically congruent (“=”) allies, and diverse left-learning sects.

We know enough about her motive considering Antifa announced “Vengeance Day” against Christian transphobes. It was a straight-out call for violence. NPR yesterday called on all trannies to “arm up” and get ready.

This is how the civil war starts? The Communist Trannies Liberation Front vs Christians? Even my SHTF vision of the zombie invasion wasn’t this comically creepy. It’s going to be a f-a-a-a-bulous!!! civil war!

“The Communist Trannies Liberation Front vs Christians?…”

Nah. The communist trannies are but one group of democrat Brownshirts. Antifa is another. It’s going to be the democrats/rinos/GOPe versus the rest of us.

Unfortunately, our federal government is totally corrupt, and the democrats/rinos/GOPe control it. We ain’t making it intact to November 2024.

I’m seeing a vision… a bunch of trans folks all complaining about the glitter not adhering to their rifle foregrips and how their nails won’t fit in the trigger guard… and a bunch of butch trans yelling at them to stop their b**ching and get up and into formation….

Milhouse in reply to Pasadena Phil. | March 29, 2023 at 4:00 pm

No, we don’t know that her motive had anything to do with that. We don’t even know whether she was even aware of it. We can suspect it, but we won’t know it until the police release more information about her “manifesto”.

alaskabob in reply to Milhouse. | March 29, 2023 at 4:32 pm

The Left doesn’t want it released. Two possible reasons…. 1) full loony that would give the cause a bad name. 2) Main core beliefs that would give the cause a bad name.

Take a guess. Someone stole one of her crayons 20 years ago as a student at that school? Bad hair day? Aaron Rodgers now playing for the NY Jets?

bullhubbard in reply to Pasadena Phil. | March 30, 2023 at 10:26 am

On the face of it your comment seems paranoid, but it isn’t.

The trans lobby has been using a metaphor for a long time, so long many believe it literally: “To deny the changeability of sex is to deny the very existence of trans-sexuals.” This then, for shorthand’s sake, is called “genocide.” It’s no mistake that they are playing an existential game, considering using the birth name of someone who’s impersonating the opposite sex is called “dead-naming.” The sexual identity of the trans-sexual becomes everything because delusions must be fiercely defended against the truth to maintain themselves.

They’ve used this trope for so long, many take it literally, which is why you hear hysterical calls for some sort of retribution. Wait until someone justifies this woman’s crime using this psychotic idea.

nordic prince | March 29, 2023 at 1:58 pm

“The Governor does not condone violence in any form….”

wink, wink, nod, nod…

AF_Chief_Master_Sgt | March 29, 2023 at 2:00 pm

Trans activists, NPR, Jane Fonda, and now Josselyn Berry, to name a few, have all called for a Vengeance day ( m u r d e r ) against transphobes – which includes anyone who doesn’t kiss the asses of the transtesticle lobby.

Let’s ban the Rainbow Flag as a hate symbol.

So you’ve declared war on the first amendment?!

CommoChief in reply to Milhouse. | March 29, 2023 at 4:09 pm

I believe he means put it in the same category as other symbols hijacked by extremists and b/c of that association are now beyond the pale.

henrybowman in reply to Milhouse. | March 29, 2023 at 4:49 pm

Is there a first amendment right to incite violence? Elon Musk avers that he had to delete over 5,000 tweets relating to the “Trans Day of Vengeance” which did.

And obviously there is no first amendment restriction on banning flags… because that’s a fait accompli. We’re now past the constitution, and well into goose sauce territory.

Milhouse in reply to henrybowman. | March 29, 2023 at 5:19 pm

There is no first amendment right to incite violence, but only because “incitement” is defined very narrowly and precisely. Banning a flag brazenly violates the first amendment, under all circumstances. Whether it’s the US flag, the Confederate flag, or any other. So does banning the burning of said flag (unless it’s a location or time when nothing may be burned).

henrybowman in reply to Milhouse. | March 29, 2023 at 8:46 pm

“Banning a flag brazenly violates the first amendment, under all circumstances.”

Yet it’s being done, and none of our “constitution-loving” politicians or NGOs is inclined to do jack shit about it. So we can continue to deny reality, or we can play by the new rules.

The transes are, as usual, justifying themselves by invoking their supernatural power to redefine words to mean something other than what they have always meant.

“Vengeance means fighting back with vehemence.”

No it doesn’t, you inveterate bullshit artists. Every definition of the word in every dictionary I have found includes the word PUNISHMENT. You don’t have the moral OR legal right to punish me for anything. Try it, and you will be opening a can of whoop-ass you won’t be able to re-close.

Milhouse in reply to Milhouse. | March 29, 2023 at 9:22 pm

No, it is not being done. There is nowhere in the USA where the Confederate flag has been banned, or can ever be banned. Private property owners are of course free not to allow people to display it on their property; that is not a ban.

CommoChief in reply to Milhouse. | March 30, 2023 at 10:49 am

          Milhouse,

I suggest you look for a Confederate flag on a military base. You won’t find one b/c the DoD banned them. Even a bumper sticker of one on a private vehicle is considered to be a ‘hate symbol’. Not to mention the renamed Bases. All things Confederate are considered ‘hate symbols’ by DoD policy.

Gosport in reply to Milhouse. | March 30, 2023 at 4:05 pm

Pentagon set to unveil policy aimed at banning public display of racially or socially divisive symbols on military installations

On Tuesday, Trump told CBS News that he believes the Confederate flag is “freedom of speech” and compared it to the same freedoms of the Black Lives Matter movement. While the President has been adamant that he opposes removing Confederate names from military bases, it is not known if he would essentially take on the military’s top brass over the flag issue.

But his Sec Def did it anyway, because George Floyd and stuff.

    bullhubbard in reply to AF_Chief_Master_Sgt. | March 30, 2023 at 10:37 am

This is true. An activist group, TRAN (Trans Radical Activist Network), has organized a “Trans Day of Vengeance” because, obviously, when a trans-sexual commits a mass murder it does so because it has been “threatened with genocide,” since in their deluded minds to deny the changeability of sex is to deny their entire existence.

TRAN appear to be cynically capitalizing on people’s ignorance, their inability to understand a metaphor, deliberately counting on the confusion of normal ignorant people, as this article in the NY Post suggests: https://nypost.com/2023/03/29/trans-day-of-vengeance-protest-to-be-held-after-nashville-school-shooting/

    bullhubbard in reply to AF_Chief_Master_Sgt. | March 30, 2023 at 10:40 am

Can’t/shouldn’t ban the Trans/Fascist flag, but it burns real good. Next tranny demonstration in my area will see me torching one.

Mark this on your calendar. Today, Keith Olbermann actually said something sane. Well, even a stopped clock is right twice a day; a blind pig may find an acorn; you get the idea.

As far as Democratic Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs press spokesmodel threatening violence against “transphobes”? “I am shocked, shocked that there is gambling in this establishment!”

Now do Katie.

Stolen elections have consequences.

Subotai Bahadur | March 29, 2023 at 3:34 pm

I scan at least one British newspaper a day, if only because they have their own journalistic prejudices different from our media’s, and they will publish things that the American Leftist media will not allow. American media desperately wants the Nashville shooting to go away. Brit papers don’t care.

Two points that while not critical, are interesting and fix the victims in mind.

1) There were 3 adults killed, One was a teacher, one was the principal, and one was the custodian. It turns out that the teacher was the kong time best friend of the wife of the governor of Tennessee and was supposed to have dinner with them at the governor’s mansion that night. Further the principal was also a friend, and they had all worked together as teachers years ago.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11913789/Tennessee-Governor-reveals-Nashville-school-shooting-victim-Cindy-Peak-wifes-best-friend.html

Second, just in passing, Melissa Joan Hart who used to star in the TV sitcom Sabrina the Teenaged Witch lives right next to the school, and she and her husband helped rescue kindergartners from the shooting.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/galleries/article-11915207/Melissa-Joan-Hart-reveals-helped-kids-flee-Nashville-shooting.html

Don’t let our media either make what happened go away, or make the Left the victims.

Subotai Bahadur

So she was ‘Allowed to resign’ I see. Properly done, there should have been three lines of dialogue.
“This tweet. You posted it, correct?”
“Yes, but–”
“You’re fired. Put your keys and cell phone into this box and Bruno will escort you off the premises. We’ll mail your desk contents to you later. You will not return or you will be arrested. Goodbye.”

A mentally ill person evidenced by a female thinking she is a guy murders students in a Christian School so it looks like a hate crime to me. Of Course, Gray Man Garland disagrees and continues to monitor those domestic terrorists attending school board meetings

    Milhouse in reply to diver64. | March 29, 2023 at 8:09 pm

It may be a hate crime. We don’t know yet. The mere fact that she was presenting as a man, and that the victims were Xian, doesn’t in itself make it a hate crime.

Who would have guessed Olbermann actually had a shred of human decency left?

Sternverbs in reply to Sanddog. | March 30, 2023 at 8:17 am

I see only irony in his statement…

I suspect it may have been a deep fake video of Olbermann. (Save it Milhouse. It’s a joke. Look up “joke”.)

alaskabob in reply to Pasadena Phil. | March 30, 2023 at 12:09 pm

Are you saying Milhouse could have an unserious moment? There is a scene in the newer Star Trek series where the captain is recuperating from chest trauma and asks the first officer to not crack any jokes.
The office says she lived on Vulcan and that “they don’t do “funny ” on Vulcan”. Oops.

Steven Brizel | March 30, 2023 at 8:51 am

Good riddance!

Arizona Democrat Gov. Katie Hobbs hired her press secretary Josselyn Berry.

The American College of Pediatricians is clear: “Human sexuality is an objective biological binary trait: ‘XY’ and ‘XX’ are genetic markers of health – not genetic markers of a disorder. The norm for human design is to be conceived either male or female. Human sexuality is binary by design with the obvious purpose being the reproduction and flourishing of our species. This principle is self-evident…. Individuals with DSDs [disorders of sex development] do not constitute a third sex.”
