Parents in England Outraged as Biological Male Competes in Cricket With Girls as Young as 12

Parents in England Outraged as Biological Male Competes in Cricket With Girls as Young as 12

“Some parents, disturbed at the significant inequalities of power between young girls and an adult who was born male, have threatened to remove their daughters from their league in response.”

Some parents in England are fuming over a biological man who has transitioned to female and his playing cricket with girls as young as twelve years old.

The English take cricket pretty seriously, so you can imagine why this is causing such a strong reaction.

From The Telegraph:

Trans woman competes against girls as young as 12 – parents demand answers from ECB

Six first-class counties are demanding urgent answers from the England and Wales Cricket Board as to why a middle-aged player who transitioned from a man to a woman is being allowed to compete against girls as young as 12.

Telegraph Sport has seen multiple letters from coaches and parents whose daughters have faced the player, whose case has not previously appeared in the media, in club cricket matches. All express alarm at the safety implications of an adult carrying the residual physical advantages of male puberty playing in the same league as girls. One letter from a coach claims the player “hits the ball harder than any other I have seen in the league”.

It is understood that the player has previously caused injuries, although inadvertently, including one to an umpire and another to an opponent at county trials who was left unable to play for months. Some parents, disturbed at the significant inequalities of power between young girls and an adult who was born male, have threatened to remove their daughters from their league in response. One characterised the situation as “unacceptable, uncomfortable and dangerous”.

There are other issues besides fairness at play here:

There is also deep unease about the situation of a biological male identifying as female sharing toilet facilities at cricket clubhouses with teenage girls. “If I have a 13-year-old girl who needs to change because she has just started her period, she could well be sharing a confined space with a man who, under ECB policy, has decided they are now female,” a source said. “I have real concerns about that.”

Trans women in sports has been a hot button issue in the United States for a few years now. We have covered the issue of trans swimmer Lia Thomas extensively.

There was also a case in North Carolina where a high school girl was seriously injured when a trans player spiked the ball at her head.

Since this story is about England, this classic Monty Python bit seems appropriate:

When is somebody with authority finally going to say “enough is enough!”? Athletic competition will be divided into 2 categories based on your chromosomes: XY & XX. If you ‘identify’ as something other than what you were born as you will get psychiatric help for your mental disorder. If you are an adult and want to live in fantasy land be my guest.

The people with the authority either agree with this insanity or are too afraid to speak out.

    George_Kaplan in reply to Mojo56. | February 19, 2023 at 3:25 am

The issue there is that there are women with XY chromosomes. An Indian Olympian who won … silver I think it was in something was stripped of her medal when tests showed she is XY. It was the first time she’d heard she wasn’t 100% woman. So instead of being a source of pride for her family and village, she became a source of great shame. While people are indeed male OR female, chromosomes don’t perfectly correlate.

Androgen insensitivity syndrome was the condition I believe.

      Joe-dallas in reply to George_Kaplan. | February 19, 2023 at 9:54 am

Androgen insensitivity syndrome is a very rare syndrome.

The real issue is not sports but the delusional belief that inreversable biological treatments can cure a mental illness.

Its truly evil that something so obviously wrong has been embraced by such a large segment of the population that a biological torturing and mutilation of the human body is being promoted as a cure for a mental illness.

Its biologically impossible for a male human body to function as a female body and its biologically impossible for a female human body to function as a male body. You have to have josef mengelee mentality to believe such evil is good.

That’s true. There are extremely rare genetic disease such as that. But largely nearly everyone is genotypically and phenotypically male or female with very very few exceptions of genetic diseases as you mentioned. This is really an easy problem to fix. Xx and xy leagues. Or alternatively xx leagues and open leagues where everyone not genetically female competes and everyone genetically female who wants to can compete. Easy solution. You could also have xx, xy, and open. The problem is the leftists don’t want a solution. They want to ruin western civilization.

Those high schools in North Carolina. The opposing teams in the conference refused to play that school until the boy was off the team for safety reasons.

Don’t just threaten. Do it. The time for threatening is long past.

I remember a late teen who, owing to constantly failing spelling, was still in the 4th grade and winning all the 4th grade league baseball games.

Yeah, aligning development w/in cohorts is hard. Works better when you keep it to one thing at a time: spelling, sports, which smartphone apps they use.

It’s all woke fun and games until a serious injury occurs.

Men have killed other men in the sport, over 20 fatalities have been recorded, 3 last decade alone. A strike to the head or beck can be fatal.

This insanity is not a joke, it’s going to get girls mauled.

Remember Fallon Fox? Guy decided he was a woman and entered MMA but didn’t tell anyone. Hit one woman so hard he broke her skull.

This is precisely what happens when you let the camel’s nose under the tent flap.

This needs to stop, and now.
It’s Cultural Marxism being pushed on society.

If the yahoos yahoo hard enough the parents and kids will figure out they can make their own game to play, that they like better. Who needs whom here?

The parents can be as outraged as they want. Complaining about it can get them arrested in the UK.

Section 127 of the Malicious Communications Act of 2003 makes it an offense to send a message that is grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character over a public electronic communications network.

Yes, in the land of the Magna Carta and Common Law you can go to jail for saying biological males shouldn’t be on female sports teams because that can be considered grossly offensive and menacing by the legal system.

It sounds like Britain needs an Act to repeal a lot of Acts.

Yeah, you beat me. Brits may love cricket, however to oppose the will, whims, or fantasies of the Politically Correct state in Britain is a crime and sanctions will be placed on the parents both for protesting and for withdrawing their children if they do so.

That sound you hear is the American totalitarian state drooling over the possibility of doing so here.

As sickening as this story is, I’m more interested in knowing what a “first class county” is.

    txvet2 in reply to MTED. | February 18, 2023 at 2:59 pm

In context, it appears to mean “countries where people actually play cricket”.

Milhouse in reply to MTED. | February 19, 2023 at 1:26 am

A First-Class county, in this context, is a country that fields a team in first-class cricket matches, i.e. matches at the highest level, that are scheduled for at least three days.

Pakistan is not a UK county. It is, however, a country where first-class cricket is played, and its national team competes in international first-class matches. The USA has a national cricket team too, but it’s not of first-class standard.

      diver64 in reply to Milhouse. | February 19, 2023 at 7:20 am

US could be number 1 in womans cricket if they put a bunch of guys on the team. 1st stops England and Australia that are going along with this nonsense. Canada is next

Milhouse in reply to Milhouse. | February 19, 2023 at 10:25 am

Ouch. I just noticed that I misspelled “county” as “country”, in a comment specifically addressing the difference! Just so it’s clear, first-class counties are not countries. But there are first-class countries as well, and Pakistan is one.

Keep in mind that the ideological battle isn’t just v trans. These parents are also required to swim upstream against feminism b/c the modern feminist ideology demands that we accept/proclaim that a woman/girl can do anything a man/boy can do and that every woman is equal to every man without qualification to the statement.

Of course all of us are equal under the law and for many of us in the palm of our Creator. That does not make men and women interchangeable which is what the modern feminist ideology demands and that is the very real impediment for these parents in garnering support to protect their daughters.

There are full grown adults playing against children?

England is lost

We are not far behind

Don’t threaten to remove your daughters, remove your daughters. Let that freak stand in a field by himself.

Refuse to play the game.

Lol. Lia Thomas, call your office.
