‘Kill 100 Million People’: Over 465lbs of Fentanyl Seized at the Border in Five Months

“In the month of January alone, agents seized 55 firearms [and] over 6,800 lbs of narcotics, which included enough fentanyl to kill over 60 million people.”

In five months, Border Patrol agents have found over 465lbs of fentanyl at the border. The amount could kill 100 million people:

U.S. Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz announced that agents have seized more than 465lbs of the narcotic, which can fatal in tiny doses, between the ports of entry since the start of the fiscal year in October.

“That’s enough to kill 100 million people,” he said.

Ortiz made the remarks in announcing that agents in the Yuma Sector in Arizona had encountered an illegal migrant carrying 93 lbs worth of the narcotic. Last week, he had noted the dramatic increase in seizures, saying that agents had caught enough fentanyl to kill over 60 million people just in January.

“In the month of January alone, agents seized 55 firearms [and] over 6,800 lbs of narcotics, which included enough fentanyl to kill over 60 million people,” Ortiz said.

In January, agents at both borders snatched 264lbs. The agents only seized 66lbs in January 2022 and 5lbs in December 2022.

The amount of fentanyl at the ports of entry is higher:

Overall, 1,200 lbs of fentanyl were seized in January across all ports of entry, up from 796 lbs from January last year — but down from the massive 6,200 lbs seized in December. Overall this fiscal year so far 12,000 lbs have been seized by OFO.

Seizures at the ports themselves were highlighted this week when CBP officers in Nogales nabbed nearly 200,000 fentanyl pills and two pounds of powder under the seat of a vehicle.

I blame climate change.

Maxwell Smart, on his cyanide capsule, “Yes, but how do I get them to take it?”

enough fentanyl to kill over 60 million people
Can we get a different metric for this stuff? Because it’s obviously not killing that many people. How many people how high for how long? How long would it take a user to go from start to needing an OD to get high, and how does that divide the fentanyl out?

Sadly, it would be so much easier if it would kill 60 million (or 100 million) people, because that would pretty much destroy the market and the problem would then mostly take care of itself.

I think we might be even more astounded at the day-to-day (not deaths) impact of this much fentanyl.

I agree, we could use a different metric…Fentanyl deaths are confusing because some people were using a recreational drug that was laced.. and they didn’t know it…A one time lethal mistake. Party drugs are being poisoned, and we are seeing the stats… one air plane crash a day… It is horrific. I guess that is my metric, the death toll.

My mind moves along another path here.

We are routinely told that cops and emergency workers get whacked by invisible amounts of this stuff just by accidental contact with dust particles in the air. Also, we all know of tales of drug mules who died of cocaine overdoses when condoms broke in their stomachs or other orifices. Finally, here we have a tale of Juan Cabrón ambling over the border carrying 93 lbs. of tiny purple rhomboids of alkaloid delight.

Where are all the stories we should be hearing of dead bodies with ecstatic faces and slightly damaged bags of recreational consumables (whether interior or exterior)?

There is a dog not barking here.

That cop who OD’d was a pure PR stunt that was called out quickly ( and of course never retracted and just doubled down on). 10 seconds into that vid I was like “huh?” That’s not how it works.

So that works out to 211 million (2mg) doses, which is approximately the LD50 (naive user), so 100M is about right. Tomorrow is day 14141 so I am a bit out of touch on what the street dosages are these days, not that there is much QC in that world. From what I hear, the fentanyl is mostly used as a kicker, sort of like a beer and a bump. Regardless, there is no room in the drug culture for amateurs.

Your calculation would be right IF the 465 lb of pills was comprised of PURE Fentanyl. The authorities and the Press are massively inflating the perceived danger by not reporting that each pill probably only contained ~2 mg of Fentanyl. What drug dealer would sell pure drug?? Probably the other way around, meaning that the pills are likely to contain less than 2 mg each.

That is 100 million normal people. The 465 pounds would barely give Hunter a buzz.

How much of this poison is actually getting pass our boarders?

The CCP plays a long game, and I’m pretty sure this is an intentional asymmetric warfare strategy on their part. I imagine they view this as The Opium Wars 2.0, China’s Revenge

They’re hollowing out our fighting age young men with drug overdoses, trans ideology, etc. And they’re making those who remain hate each other with their CRT ideology.

The Chinese government knew the harm drugs caused and wanted to end all imports.

However, the UK drug pushers wanted to keep making $$$$$$ by smuggling drugs.

The UK and other countries were JUST PLAIN EVIL!

Normally it would take World Communism several years to accomplish that much killing.

My suggestion: Have it put into small blue capsules, and have them shipped directly to the DNC.

All part of the world domination plan, wipe out borders and control the population?

Fake news (There aren’t even 1 million people over 450lbs….) 🙂

As many of the comments to this article and others suggest it is difficult for a “reader” to reconcile the stated “danger” with the reported quantity of the seized drug, the amount of the life-threatening dose and the frequency of the claimed interdiction (but, then again how much gets through ?). …

And, then there is the “legal” trafficking in the “ethical” supply chain through hospitals / hospice (aka euthanasia), and pharmacies (slower euthanasia) …

That said, having some relatively recent experience as caregiver for a terminal relative – having to decide synthetic opioid (fentanyl) or morphine – … I came to understand that fentanyl as a long-chain chemical compound does not break down as it passes through its victim. And, is secreted through the kidneys/bladder, unaltered, as it was when administered. … As well hospitals do not filter their waste waters, nor do any water treatment processes.

So if my understanding is correct, these synthetic opioids, e.g., fentanyl, are created and becoming pervasive throughout the environment … The “science” does not know how, or if, these “long chains” breakdown and if so when they become harmless.

I am here to learn. … Please provide references to authoritative materials.
