Buttigieg Complains About Too Many Whites in Construction, Stays Silent on Ohio Train Derailment

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg decided to crack jokes and bemoan about too many white people in construction instead of addressing the Ohio train disaster at the National Association of Counties Conference.

Buttigieg is a piece of work:

BUTTIGIEG: “We have heard way too many stories from generations past of infrastructure where you got a neighborhood, often a neighborhood of color that finally sees the project come to them but everyone in the hardhats on that project looking like, you know, doing — doing the good paying jobs don’t look like they came from anywhere near the neighborhood.”

Oh my goodness, it’s so funny that Americans have seen many transportation problems during Buttigieg’s tenure (sarcasm):

BUTTIGIEG: “If you look at what the American transportation systems have faced in the last two or three years, partly because of the pandemic, we’ve faced issues from container shipping to airline cancelations, now we got balloons.” (Laughter)

We know of four dangerous chemicals on the train that went off the tracks in East Palestine, OH, on February 3.

The government has been silent. 100% silent. The residents want more transparency. They don’t believe the EPA when officials say the air quality is fine.

Read this thread. It’s in my previous post, but I will include it again.
