Twitter Blue Check Leftist is Shocked When His Side Doesn’t Show Compassion After Ted Cruz ‘Family Matter’

On Tuesday night, Houston-based media outlets reported that police had been called to the Texas home of Sen. Ted Cruz over an alleged incident of attempted self-harm involving a 14-year-old. The teenager was reportedly taken to the hospital:
Houston police and fire department personnel responded to the Houston home of Sen. Ted Cruz on Tuesday night.
HPD told Eyewitness News that officers responded to reports of a 14-year-old with self-inflicted stab wounds on the arms in the upscale neighborhood of River Oaks. Police were in the front yard of Cruz’s home when ABC13 arrived.
While law enforcement didn’t provide any details beyond that, including whether any member of the Cruz family was involved, a statement released later by a spokesman for Cruz indicated that it was indeed a “family matter” involving one of Cruz’s daughters and that thankfully she was “okay”:
“This is a family matter and thankfully their daughter is okay,” a representative said in a statement. “There were no serious injuries. The family requests the media respect their daughter’s privacy at this time.”

While most of the Twitter reactions I saw from prominent leftists to the news expressed support for Cruz’s daughter, the sentiment was not the same when it came to the suggestion that people ease up on Cruz on the non-stop attacks he faces every day.
Prolific Twitterer/CNN commentator Ron Filipkowski, a self-described “national social media influencer” and avowed hater of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, found out the hard way what a cesspool of stupid Twitter can be when he asked his followers to give Cruz “a break” after he’d read the reports of what allegedly happened:

Wait, what? Cruz’s daughter is bisexual? Where did that come from and Cruz is not “homophobic”. I’m not aware he has ever said he is afraid of gay people.

Kids at that age are heavily influenced by peers and teachers. It’s not outside the realm of possibility with Senator Cruz’s busy career that he missed something, sadly. I hope and pray that the family comes together over this and that the kid gets the help she needs to be normal.

It’s easy to make assumptions behind her reasoning. Here, I’ll give it a try:
Bigoted Left wing teachers and bullies at school have made her life a nightmare with the express intention of harming her in the hope that Cruz will pull away from public life to protect her.
Honestly, that isn’t unlikely at all so it’s entirely possible that the bad guys are effectively those that are still attacking Cruz (by proxy).
The only reasonable thing to do is give her and her family space to deal with it. The continued attacks on Cruz over it, especially if he wasn’t responsible for what happened, will not help her mental state.
I hope there is a thorough investigation of the pressures on this girl at school.
Especially from the leftist teachers and administration.
Keep in mind that to Leftists, compassion is institutional and changeable according to political needs, as opposed to human beings who can empathize with other human beings..

I know you are wrong because I have covered deaths of both sides and it isn’t even close. When mean things are said they are about the person’s own actions and not of their family. When Rush Limbaugh died the left went wild with hateful and scurrilous comments. I know of no leftists who have died who were treated in this way.
