“police say two male suspects opened fire after kicking in the front door”

This is at least the third such incident near Temple University in just a few months.

FOX 29 in Philadelphia reports:

Police: 3 shot, including teen girl, in deadly home invasion near Temple University campus

Another home invasion near Temple University came to tragic end with one man shot and killed, another man critically injured and a teen girl suffering several gunshots.

Philadelphia police say two male suspects opened fire after kicking in the front door of a house on the 1800 block of Diamond Street around 12:47 p.m. The house is just a four-block walk from Temple University’s campus.

The three victims struck by gunfire inside the house include a 15-year-old girl who was shot four times in the leg; a man in his 20s shot twice in the head; and another man in his 20s who was shot in the chest, shoulder and leg.

One person invades a person’s home and there is an immediate response. Thousands upon thousands of invaders invade a person’s country and they’re welcomed with open arms.

    Damn straight!

Given the lack of identification in the story, I can only assume that the perps were black.

I am only surprised that the report assumed their gender.

As a Temple grad ‘68, Diamond St was a bad scene way back when. Temple had a beautiful campus in suburban Ambler, PA, but they committed to “remaining in the inner city.” Looks like they made a big mistake 50 years ago.

How does this w0rk in “gun violence” statistics?

Do the intended victims who ended up not dea discount on the “gun violence” and “gun deaths” counts?

The house is just a four-block walk from Temple University’s campus.
IOW, this has nothing at all to do with Temple University, except proximity. No college students involved. No college property involved. Just the deterioration of what should be “nice areas” into “not-so-nice areas”. Which we’ve seen all over the place in the last few years.

It’s hard for me to figure out whether you’re being sincere, or whether you’re mocking those who actually believe such things.

If WAWA departs Philadelphia , which it has, and yet you choose to enroll at Temple , or you support your child’s decision to attend Temple … then you are actively choosing not to live in reality.

Do you really believe that the quality of Temple’s faculty has not been affected adversely by the out-of-control crime in that neighborhood?

Good luck.

That, or the presumption that the university can protect you amidst “defund the police” demands.

Is Philadelphia controlled by the Dems? Asking for a friend.

I cannot tell from this report if the 3 people killed/wounded were the thugs or residents/visitors in the home (victims).
