A poll conducted by the Convection of States Action and The Trafalgar Group found that most Americans considered President Joe Biden’s primetime speech “dangerous.” They also believe Biden “intended to create conflict among Americans.”
The companies asked the voters, “What is your opinion of President Biden’s recent primetime address to the nation in which he accused his political opponents of representing ‘an extremism that threatens the very foundation of our republic’?”
The voters chose from three statements:
The critical stat belongs to those who don’t identify with any party because Democrats approved the speech while Republicans did not like it.
62.4% of those polled who belong to no party or identify with another party considered Biden’s speech “dangerous.”
Overall, though, 56.8% of those polled found Biden’s speech a “dangerous escalation in rhetoric.”
89.1% of the Republicans agreed with the statement. Only 4.7% agreed with it.
70.8% of the Democrats found Biden’s speech acceptable, but 18.7% did not like it. It seems the Republicans are more united than the media and the left want us to think, while Democrats have cracks in their foundation.
I know most Democrats agreed with Biden’s speech but still. Only 5% of the Republicans liked it while almost 20% of the Democrats did not. That’s quite a difference, you know?
Maybe I’m overthinking it because the groups polled about 4% more Democrats than Republicans.
The companies reached out to 1,084 likely general election voters. 39.3% identified themselves as Democrats, 35.6% Republicans, and 25.1% non-partisan/other.
Mark Meckler, President of the Convection of States, said in a press release:
“These numbers reveal that most voters were sickened and deeply disturbed by what they saw last week. When you couple this finding with previous polling we did indicating a majority of voters also hold President Biden responsible for America’s divisions—it’s clear that the man who promised to unite the nation has become the most divisive President in American history. When voters tell you they think that the prepared remarks of a sitting President of the United States is a dangerous escalation and was designed to incite conflict, we are living in terrifying times. Perhaps even more terrifying is the fact that a huge majority of Democrats think this was just a routine, election year stump speech. This is the tyranny the founders of America foresaw, and it’s why they included an emergency provision in Article V that empowers the states to reign in an out-of-control federal government. A Convention of States needs to happen and urgently.”
Biden turned off a lot of Americans with that awful speech. I thought Biden wanted to heal the rift in America. He also promised the adults returned to the White House.
I’m not a MAGA or Trump voter. I don’t even like Trump and am beyond tired of him. Yet I find Biden a disgusting little man who is threatened by anyone who disagrees with him. He insists his rhetoric isn’t about all “Trumpies” (his word, not mine), but we all know he means anyone, even leftists, who do not jump on his wagon. So gross.
