President Joe Biden kept asking for the late Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN) at the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health.
Walorski passed away in August in a car accident.
Walorski co-sponsored the childhood hunger bill Biden celebrated at the conference. He also praised Sen. Mike Braun, Sen. Cory Booker, and Rep. Jim McGovern.
Biden said: “Representative Jackie, are you here? Where’s Jackie? I don’t think — she must not be here to help make this reality.”
People from the mainstream media hammered Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre over the gaffe. She melted down when the friendly reporters didn’t buy her excuses.
It all started when ABC News reporter Cecilia Vega asked Jean-Pierre what happened at the event when Biden asked for Walorski.
Jean-Pierre answered that Biden “was acknowledging her incredible work…She was on his mind…top of mind.”
