‘I Just Explained’: Karine Jean-Pierre Melts Down When Media Doesn’t Buy Her Explanation for Why Biden Asked for Dead Congresswoman

‘I Just Explained’: Karine Jean-Pierre Melts Down When Media Doesn’t Buy Her Explanation for Why Biden Asked for Dead Congresswoman

Biden appeared shocked that the late Rep. Jackie Walorski wasn’t at a conference on Wednesday. She passed away in a car accident in August.

President Joe Biden kept asking for the late Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN) at the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health.

Walorski passed away in August in a car accident.

Walorski co-sponsored the childhood hunger bill Biden celebrated at the conference. He also praised Sen. Mike Braun, Sen. Cory Booker, and Rep. Jim McGovern.

Biden said: “Representative Jackie, are you here? Where’s Jackie? I don’t think — she must not be here to help make this reality.”

People from the mainstream media hammered Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre over the gaffe. She melted down when the friendly reporters didn’t buy her excuses.

It all started when ABC News reporter Cecilia Vega asked Jean-Pierre what happened at the event when Biden asked for Walorski.

Jean-Pierre answered that Biden “was acknowledging her incredible work…She was on his mind…top of mind.”

It all went downhill from there:

Unfortunately, I’m not surprised that KJP thinks it’s no big deal to ask for people who are “top of mind” (whatever that is–never heard that expression in my 70 years). She’s the ying to Brandon’s yang!

In fairness to her the constant clean-up she must have engage in due to Biden’s antics are not making her job any easier. That said this was a rough day for Biden. Not sure there has been a previous event that displayed so strongly the characteristics of dementia.

His family should have stepped in and intervened to prevent this man from running when they knew he was declining. The bosses in the d/prog party should have stopped this. Instead they shanked Bernie again and installed this man and his caretakers into the WH. What comes next is on them. No crying.

You are assuming his family cares about him as a person. They see him only as protection for legal consequences and a source of free money in the form of graft. His family was completely on board with this when he was put up for the position.

Massinsanity in reply to Martin. | September 28, 2022 at 10:18 pm

Look at the grift they were running when he was the ex VP. They are salivating for the day when he is all done. The grift will go into overdrive. The Biden library… the book deals for Dr Jill, the house on MV. It will be orders of magnitude about what Jim, Jill and Hunter have been able to grift to date.

I have a tiny bit of pity for Hunter, but Jill Biden is particularly disgusting for her naked ambition and pathetic vanity.

      “Doctor”. What a friggin’ idiot.

CommoChief in reply to Martin. | September 29, 2022 at 8:59 am

The inference is that his family wanted him to be POTUS and garner the power and prestige that comes with their Husband, Father, Uncle or Brother becoming POTUS far more than they cared about Biden or the Nation.

papabear in reply to CommoChief. | September 29, 2022 at 8:38 am

but the NWO people can’t control someone with a working brain cell that’s why Perv Joe was selected

CommoChief in reply to papabear. | September 29, 2022 at 9:03 am

There are plenty of other vapid d/prog of mediocre intelligence and meager accomplishments to have chosen. See Harris, Buttigieg and Sanders as three examples.

artichoke in reply to CommoChief. | October 3, 2022 at 3:13 pm

Harris actually was selected, they just needed Joe to get elected (Harris couldn’t come close even for their cheating to bridge) then resign. But Joe didn’t resign even though he promised he would, which creates a sort of entertaining situation and one where large number of Dem insiders are barely able to contain their anger and fury.

Joe sucks in many ways, but I want him in there until a Republican can replace him.

rocuall in reply to CommoChief. | September 29, 2022 at 1:12 pm

This was all planed. they wanted a imbecileto be POTUS so they could control him. all he is good for is a signature and HArris is their insurance policy

Many of US have been criticizing the family for the last probably 3 years as his dementia became more and more evident and he was constantly put before the public. Especially criticizing Jill for not stopping the DNC from exploiting his alleged popularity and pushing him into running for President. Just like with Billy Jeff Clinton and his numerous bimbo exploits and failures Hillary “standing by her man” even though she denied the that. She saw Billy Jeff’s popularity as the key to her lustful quest for power and recognition. She couldn’t afford to dump him. The DNC couldn’t afford to dump JB for that reason, popularity of the name as a long standing icon of the DNC. They knew full what it would take as a gargantuan operation to pull off his actual election (fraudulent as it was/is) because of his mental incapacity. Many have said Jill was instructed to let it happen because it’s all planned out how they’re going to gain and regain their power hold on US. “Just sit back Jill, we got this. And we got you and him where we want you”. It’s all a planned scam of America. And We the People are paying the terrible price. Sooner or later the shit is going to hit the fan big time and because of all of the DNC Crime Syndicate planning, no one will go to jail for all their bullshit. The puppet strings were put in place long ago with Obama being shadow controlled and extended through him and Joe to their sham victory in 2020. What a sick joke on US.

Hey Karine, here’s an easy answer everyone will actually believe. “He’s a RETARD.”

In addition to not being terribly bright, she is downright awful at her job.

Behold a woke diversity, equity, and inclusion hire in action.

In the coming years and decades expect a steady decline in quality in every almost good and service you buy that is ‘Made in America’ or provided by an American Big Corporation employee. Unless the company makes a deliberate effort to reject DEI and ESG — hiring, firing, and compensating based only on merit.

There has already been a steep decline in quality in much of what Hollywood produces. It started a couple of decades ago and has exponentially accelerated in the last 5-7 years.

“In the coming years and decades expect a steady decline in quality in every almost good and service you buy that is ‘Made in America’ or provided by an American Big Corporation employee.”

This has been evident for the past ten to fifteen years.

    Blackwing1 in reply to UJ. | September 28, 2022 at 8:04 pm

So, do you WANT somebody who is really good at blatantly lying? Or would you prefer to have an AA hire who has no clue what’s going on, and stammers while on her feet making the situation completely obvious to everyone in the room?

The fact that the WH press corpse (deliberate usage) isn’t standing on their feet while pointing and laughing at this ditz is a complete corroboration of the fact that they are also in the bag.

henrybowman in reply to UJ. | September 28, 2022 at 8:10 pm

They were so intent on getting a black lesbian that they forgot “good liar.”

Yes, but she’s a lesbian, and… If forget what else.

Anyway, would you fly in a plane she was trained to pilot? Would you fly in a plane Obama was trained to pilot? Though not.

On the other hand: would you fly in a plane Trump or DeSantis was trained to pilot? Hell yes.

    Most affirmative action hires fail.

Well, it’s gotten to the point where even supposedly friendly media sources are calling her out on her BS and his fitness to be President so I suppose that’s something….

Brandon sees dead people.

The bosses have gotten a lot of what they wanted.

TEXTBOOK dementia symptoms.

He is vaguely aware that he was supposed t0 be talking about ‘Jackie’ and celebrating her, but had no clue what he was actually doing and why.

So in textbook dementia fashion, he simply asked her to stand up to try and cover for his memory loss, and made an absolute fool of himself, and then, again in textbook dementia fashion, doubled down and tried to act like he knew exactly what he was doing.

What he was ACTUALLY supposed to be doing was teeing up a memorial video of ‘Jackie’ and her contributions to the cause, but after his pathetic nursing home episode his handlers decided that it was better to not show it.

This is just absolute textbook dementia, the patient has only a vague idea about what was happening but tries to act like they know exactly what they are doing, and then if confronted with how obvious their crap is they get mad.

“I’m a-comin’, Elizabeth…!”

goddessoftheclassroom | September 28, 2022 at 7:37 pm

I have neither patience nor mercy for liars.

Look, Biden is half dead – no surprise that he sees dead people.

This actually may get to be more fun over time. The MSM can’t attack his awful policies, because they are theirs as well. But they do not want him in 2024. Therefore, I predict that they will get increasingly tough on things that are Biden-specific – like his gaffes.

    Martin in reply to jb4. | September 28, 2022 at 9:56 pm

I have been predicting his removal not prior to 1/21/2023 to give his successor the chance for 2 additional full terms. They are starting to lower the veil they have been keeping on his mental decline so they don’t have to hold him in place much beyond that date. As of today that is 3 months and 24 days until they are ready to remove him.

This troglo-dyke is from bottom of mine.

Biden is transitioning and Jean-Pierre came tumbling after.

Biden had a “top surgery” to resolve psychiatric dysphoria?

Yeah but Kamala Harris.

ThePrimordialOrderedPair | September 28, 2022 at 8:37 pm

How many times did that cabbage patch doll say “on top of mind” – which is no normal American expression (in that form)? It sounds almost Russian without the article there … Cabbage Patch even outdid Jen Spazki and her “circle around with you” idiocy.

They gave her that tag line to brush off the incident expecting that she would get one, maybe two questions from the fawning media on it leaving her looking like a complete fool as all she was cable of doing was repeat that line over and over again as the questions kept piling up.

I almost felt sorry for the dimwit.

“Top of mind” must be marketing psychobabble. I first heard it in retail around 2010 when someone said I needed to “establish top of mind awareness” of my business and products. I wasn’t keen on it (like many other fad phrases) but it seemed to be bandied about a lot.

Reagan was clearly getting old and starting to make gaffes during his second term. He had more on the ball than Biden before Biden got dementia and hid in his basement for all of 2020 while getting the ‘anybody but Trump’ vote..

Personally I would have gone with “he meant she was with us in spirit” but having a meltdown is fine too.

Milhouse in reply to SeymourButz. | September 28, 2022 at 9:12 pm

Unfortunately that wouldn’t have worked. It’s fine to believe someone is at an event in spirit, but you don’t generally expect to see that spirit, let alone go looking for it.

My religious tradition says that the deceased attend their children’s and grandchildren’s weddings. In my community it is common for a speaker to acknowledge their presence and welcome them to the event. It is unheard of for the speaker to look around for them!

How about: “He meant she was with us in smell”?

there’s no “mind” in Biden’s head that can have anything on its top. His press sec probably doesn’t even know who John Lennon is.

“I think people can understand…when someone is at top of mind.”

No, I don’t think they can. This is the first time in my life I have ever heard such an expression. “At top of mind”, or “on top of mind”. And the reporters seem to parrot this weird expression back to her as if it were a normal phrase that they use regularly. I know “at the top of his mind”, or “at the top of ones mind”, etc. But not this weird shorthand “at/on top of mind”.

The leftist press wants to get rid of Biden. They probably have someone even worse ready to go in. They wanted Kamala Harris all along.

I don’t honestly see the problem. I didn’t know this person had died. There are 435 members of the House. Is it necessary for Biden to know that she had died, vs. the work he is actually supposed to be doing? Did someone brief him on that fact? Is DC really such a tight circle that they’d keep track of each other like that?

Yeah because he’s old he may not be as sharp on such details and rooted a bit in how things used to be. That isn’t dementia, it’s being old.

I didn’t vote for Biden and neither did most other people, but I’ve gotta say it’s better to have him in than Kamala Harris.

artichoke in reply to artichoke. | September 28, 2022 at 10:05 pm

and Biden never even served in the House. He went straight to the Senate at under 30 years of age. Delaware has only one representative but 2 senators. Is he supposed to know all about the many many people in “the other body”?

MrPeabody in reply to artichoke. | September 28, 2022 at 10:51 pm

When Rep. Jackie Walorski was killed in the accident last month, Biden even had the flags flown at half mast for her and he and Jill sent their condolences.

artichoke in reply to MrPeabody. | September 30, 2022 at 12:01 pm

Is she your former congresswoman or something? Lots of this sort of stuff happens in DC. I’m sure Joe spent a half hour composing the letter of condolence, right? He probably has a protocol person that says “unfortunate accident, Democrat, let’s commemorate this death”. While Joe himself is sleeping/working/sniffing hair.

ThePrimordialOrderedPair in reply to artichoke. | September 29, 2022 at 3:22 am

He should know about the FOUR Congressmen he is going to talk about for that press conference … like which ones are alive and which ones are dead.

Why? They’re not personal friends. Her importance to him was that she helped get some legislation passed or otherwise was a Biden ally in the political wars, in a past battle. Are you one of these people who wants DC to be a big happy family? We’re better off when it’s not, bad as it is now.

artichoke in reply to artichoke. | September 30, 2022 at 12:07 pm

Or more likely, that other Dems are expecting him to remember her i.e. he plays his role as a good Dem by remembering her, possibly at the expense of applying his limited attention span to actual useful work. He f’ed that up this time, he caused discomfort among Dems and among the reporters.

Why should I be unhappy about that?

Dimsdale in reply to artichoke. | September 29, 2022 at 1:02 pm

Staff? Or the ventriloquist microphone in his ear?

NYBruin in reply to artichoke. | September 29, 2022 at 1:46 pm

As President of the United States, he has a large staff who prep him for every public appearance. You may recall Biden accidentally revealed the step-by-step instruction cards his staff prepared for him at a meeting a month or two ago with details as minute as “You sit down.”

According the KJP, he is also meeting with her bereaved family in a few days, so he had an additional reason to be aware that she had slipped the mortal coil.

artichoke in reply to NYBruin. | September 30, 2022 at 12:10 pm

Why should I be unhappy that he forgets a detail that is unimportant to me? Lots of people die, 17 died in SW Florida when Hurricane Ian hit, and I don’t know their names either. He royally pissed off the Dem reporters though …

I’d rather have Harris, then take her down. More of Biden means more disaster.

That’s an interesting debate. The other stuff with massive downvotes for forgetting some congresscritter (how did we suddenly start caring so much about them?) surprises me.

This was supposed to be a far-left administration. It hasn’t turned out that way. My main concern with Biden is that he’s compromised regarding Ukraine. I had hoped that the revelations so far would soften him, the cat’s out of the bag after all, but those people don’t operate that way.

This admin could offer a master class in gaslighting except that it’s so blatantly obvious that it’s really not an effective delivery of the practice.

Deep down, it must really suck to be a Democrat.

Dimsdale in reply to jackphat. | September 29, 2022 at 1:12 pm

Oh, it does. That is why they are so irritable and “triggered,” much of that coming from the fact that they couldn’t get past the first challenge in an argument without screaming (insert preferred minority here)phobe!!!

“My religious tradition says that the deceased attend their children’s and grandchildren’s weddings.”

I’m curious, what religious tradition is that? Thanks.

As one reaches ones late 70s, probably more than half the people you know are dead. It gets difficult to keep track. If there was a teleprompter, it was not used effectively.

I hope that any President would be too busy taking care of the nation’s business to spend a lot of time rehearing remarks introducing a conference on hunger. So, I am not surprised that the President would walk into the room unrehearsed and unbriefed.

A more honest and compassionate answer would have gone something like this:

“This was an important and emotional day. The Congresswoman was clearly top of mind when the president asked for her. One way to look at it was that he was calling out to her presence in the the room, her presence in the day’s accomplishments that she had worked so hard for during her life. Her presence looking down on her family, friends and colleagues from heaven. Some people will totally get that and understand. I understand that that may look confusing to some other people who don’t think in those terms.

And also, it’s entirely possible that the president was caught in the moment and the emotions and just momentarily forgot she was dead because this day was so much about her life’s work. So in that sense she was indeed in the room.”

I don’t understand what the big deal is. After all, Democrats have always been supported by dead people.

The bigger question has always been “where’s Joe?”

I also want to see her replacement, because they are getting crazier on an exponential curve. I’m envisioning Dennis Rodman in drag. Is “Bozo hair” a new box on the check-list?

I also want to see her replacement, because they are getting crazier on an exponential curve. I’m envisioning Dennis Rodman in drag. Is “Bozo hair” a new box on the check-list?

Who knows? Maybe having one foot in the grave does allow Joe to see people on both sides.

The bigger question is whether Jackie is going to vote for the serial sniffer in 2024

The “top” of President Biden’s “mind” is not a particularly lofty height.
