Biden’s Middle East Trip Ends in Fiasco, Fails to Get Arab Support on Oil Production, Security

Biden fumbles and mumbles through his 4-day visit to Israel, Saudi Arabia.

Joe Biden’s first visit to the Middle East as president ended in a fiasco, with him betraying signs of mental decline and failing to achieve any of his declared diplomatic aims.

The four-day visit to Israel and Saudi Arabia, which ended on Friday, was such a disaster that even the loyalist mainstream media outlets are having a tough time giving it a positive spin.

While President Donald Trump’s visit to the region in 2017 resulted in the historic Abraham Accords between Israel and the Arab states, and billions of dollars worth of defense deals, the current president has returned empty handed. The Arab oil producing states declined Biden’s request to boost oil production. He also failed to forge a regional defense alliance to counter growing Iranian aggression in the Middle East.

The Reuters reported Biden’s failed Middle East trip:

President Joe Biden told Arab leaders on Saturday that the United States would remain an active partner in the Middle East, but he failed to secure commitments to a regional security axis that would include Israel or an immediate oil output rise. (…)

Biden, who began his first trip to the Middle East as president with a visit to Israel, presented his vision and strategy for America’s engagement in the Middle East at an Arab summit in Jeddah.

The summit communique was vague, however, and Saudi Arabia, Washington’s most important Arab ally, poured cold water on U.S. hopes the summit could help lay the groundwork for a regional security alliance – including Israel – to combat Iranian threats. (…)

“We believe there’s great value in including as many of the capabilities in this region as possible and certainly Israel has significant air and missile defence capabilities, as they need to. But we’re having these discussions bilaterally with these nations,” a senior administration official told reporters.

A plan to connect air defence systems could be a hard sell for Arab states that have no ties with Israel and balk at being part of an alliance seen as against Iran, which has a strong regional network of proxies including Iraq, Lebanon and Yemen.

Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, said he was not aware of any discussions on a Gulf-Israeli defence alliance and that the kingdom was not involved in such talks. [Emphasis mine]

As the visit progressed, the frequency of Biden’s gaffes increased, causing distress to his hosts and embarrassment to his country. The visiting U.S. president could be seen struggling to stay focused during the meetings and repeatedly blundering through in his speeches.

Biden Makes Embellishing Claims, Saudis Rebuff

If official Saudi accounts are to be believed, Biden is embellishing his train-wreck visit with bold claims of achievements and breakthroughs.

After meeting Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Biden claimed that he took the Saudi leader to task over his alleged involvement in the murder of a journalist inside the Saudi consulate in Turkey.

The Washington Post reported the president’s account:

President Biden said he confronted Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman directly Friday about the 2018 murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, telling him in a “straightforward and direct” way that the killing was unacceptable and “making clear what I thought of it at the time and what I think of it now.”

The Saudi foreign minister, present at the meeting, rebuffed Biden’s claims saying nothing of this sort was discussed.

Fox News reported the Saudi minister’s response:

[…] Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia Adel al-Jubeir told Fox News’ Alex Hogan Biden never addressed Khashoggi’s murder during the visit.

“I didn’t hear that particular phrase,” al-Jubeir said. “The President mentioned that the US is committed to human rights because since the founding fathers wrote the constitution and he also made the point that American presidents — this is part of the agenda of every American president.”

Biden also declared that he convinced the Saudis to open their skies to Israeli airliners.

Saudi Arabia allowing direct flights from Israel was “a big deal, not only symbolically but substantively,” Biden told reporters on Friday after his meeting with the Saudi leadership.

“This is the first tangible step on the path of what I hope will eventually be a broader normalization of relations,” he rejoiced.

The Saudi government also dismissed those claims made by Biden. The Times of Israel reported:

Contradicting the departing US President Joe Biden, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said Saturday that Riyadh’s decision to open its airspace for all civilian overflights had “nothing to do with diplomatic ties with Israel” and was “not in any way precursor to any further steps” toward normalization.

Prince Faisal appeared determined to pour cold water over the declared expectations in Jerusalem and Washington that the kingdom’s decision, announced Thursday, to open its airspace to all civilian carriers — a move that will enable flights to and from Israel to China and India through far shorter and less costly routes — marked a first step toward formal relations with Israel.

Absolutely nobody on the world stage has the slightest respect for this idiot or his puppetmasters.

On the one hand, I’m pleased as punch to see all these foreigners humiliating our puppet *resident.
On the other hand, I am humiliated, because the job of humiliating him properly belongs to US, and we are unwilling or unable to deliver.

No high-level diplomatic visit comes about unless something big was agreed to prior to the visit.
The ‘visit’ wasn’t supposed to ‘succeed’. Our country is being destroyed intentionally from the scumbags operating a puppet president (Susan Rice, Anita Dunn, Obama and Jill Biden).

Oh gee,I’m so surprised, everything the man touches turns into a steaming pile.

FJB, we have plenty of oil in this country but the Greenies won’t allow it.

See, you just don’t understand. It is a no no for us to produce out own oil. But it is very commendable to bring oil from half way around the world in super gigantic oil tankers from Muslim countries that hate our guts. They won’t increase the amount of oil even if the president crawls on his hands and knees and fist bumps 1,000 times.

Those “super gigantic oil tankers” burn a lot of fossil fuels to bring oil from half way around the world. The Saudis should have told Brandon, “We would love to help you, but the energy required to transport the oil is against our commitment to be as green as possible. Get it from your own backyard.”

“The greenies won’t allow it” No. It is because the public has not given the greenies the severe beatings they so richly deserve.

What an effing embarrassment this guy is.

Never underestimate Joe’s ability to fk things up a famous person once said.

Kamala should go next time. She is good at blowing visits.

With Kamala “take a knee” Harris, the glass ceiling was raised with feminist, masculinist, and social progressive approval, and with the progress of politically congruent constructs, sets a forward-looking backward standard for women and men, girls and boys.

Why would anyone form any alliance with 10% China Joe? Democrats have shown themselves to be utterly untrustworthy.

So long as The Delaware Doosh did not damage any of Hunter’s connections all should still be well.

I wonder if Mary Trump has ever serviced Hunter. They would make a cute a nice couple. Maybe even invite Weiner to keep things lively.

Biden went to Saudi Arabia with an empty mind when he returned he was also empty handed.

The really fun part is what the intrepid media are ignoring. The Saudis cannot increase production. They are importing Russian oil at a discount, and selling it at full price. It’s Europe’s way of evading the “sanctions” that have made the ruble the world’s best performing currency, and given Russia the best current account position in 30 years.

This is why Chase’s analyst recently predicted $380/bbl if Russia shuts off all oil exports. The entire “conversation” about oil ignores facts on and underground. What did Bush Sr. say 32 years ago? Oh yeah: “This will not stand.”

Past that, given the situation, you’d think that Xiden wouldn’t sit there are snipe at the Saudis

To everyone who claims I have to believe everything Trump’s critics say about Trump If I believe what people say about Biden, the thing Is I’ve seen Biden in action.

It is precisely because the MFM goes out of its way to excuse creepy this creepy old perv that I believe all the stories. He behaves exactly like a sexual predator who expects to get away with it would behave. Do I need to attach videos of the wife sniffer, ear whisperer, and daughter fondler in case you haven’t seen them? And the cucks put up with it because, Biden doles out what they want. And I guess if you’re willing to whore yourself out it’s not a big step to your wives and children.

I’ve never actually seen Trump treat people the same way. Please, correct me if I’m wrong.

Democrats get confused between the differences of consensual sex and what Biden does.

Just before the second debate with Hillary Democrats tried wheeling out some women who felt their feelings had been hurt and as soon as their usefulness passed they were discarded by the Democrat media which kinda tells you everything you need to know about women and their only value to Democrats.

What a surprise … Middle-eastern dictators have no respect for weak, feckless, retarded old pedo[hiles.

This trip was an absolute failure-attempting to shore up the Israeli secular left which has been in decline for years, the corrupt PA and to muscle the Saudis about the death of Khashoggi, an Iranian/Quatarri agent of influence who was not a journalist while begging the Saudis for oil is a recipe for disaster.

The dotard’s utterly vile and completely dishonest/inapposite analogy comparing Israeli Jews — who’ve been living in the Middle East for millennia, thousands of years before the founding of the supremacist ideology of “Submission,” no less — to the English, and, analogizing Irish Catholics to allegedly (but, fallaciously) victimized Arab Muslim, so-called “Palestinians,” is outrageous, indefensible and utterly contemptible. A new low is established, for the idiotic Dhimmi-crats’ perennially despicable and feckless dhimmitude.
