Dr. Oz Wins Pennsylvania GOP Senate Primary After McCormick Concedes

Dr. Oz Wins Pennsylvania GOP Senate Primary After McCormick Concedes

McCormick urged his supporters to support Oz in the general election.

Dave McCormick conceded the Pennsylvania GOP Senate primary election to Dr. Mehmet Oz, the celebrity doctor backed by Trump:

“It’s now clear to me with the recount largely complete, that we have a nominee. And today I called Mehmet Oz to congratulate him on his victory. And I told him what I always said to you, that I will do my part to try to unite Republicans and Pennsylvanians behind his candidacy, behind his nomination for the Senate. It is so important for Pennsylvania, so important that we beat John Fetterman,” McCormick said.

Oz led McCormick by about 972 votes before the state triggered a recount. McCormick’s team wanted hand recounts in 12 counties.

However, SCOTUS “paused the counting of some mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania.”

Justice Samuel Alito made the order, issuing “a brief administrative stay, allowing the court additional time to consider more formal action in the case.”

Oz is Trump’s boy. I’m sure he will work out every bit as well as his cabinet choices.

Vote Oz and there is a chance he is telling the truth that he reversed all of his previous positions, but even if he is lying (unfortunately likely) you get something better than a Democrat in a state Republicans lost repeatedly this century. Want a yes vote on Republican judges? Oz will be your guy for example. Want a no vote on Biden’s nominees? Oz is your guy. Want to stop the Democrats use of the senate to pressure corporations? Oz is your guy. Want Republican senators to have a way to pressure big tech in the other direction? Again Oz is your guy. I could go on.

Vote Fetterman and you give Chuck Schumer a majority and he will do as he pleases Joe Manchin’s wishes be damned.

Don’t vote and you might as well be voting Fetterman.

You left out the first and most important vote Oz will cast (if elected): Majority Leader. McCormick would have been beholden to McConnell, Oz is beholden to Trump. After that vote, he is still deeply indebted to Trump. (I hope people also notice that Cruz endorsed McCormick. So much for his endorsement.)

Oh great. Another Muzzie edges closer to being in Congress.

One with dual citizenship I believe.

    1. If you look at his position history he was clearly not a Muslim prior to running as a Republican

    2. If he has ditched his atheism to become a Muslim that would be a good reason to believe his new conservative positions are sincerely held and a good reason to work hard to support him.

    3. Grow up, we are a religion coalition if you want to go back to Bush’ war on terror….that makes as much sense as grabbing a Glock to shoot yourself in the head. Nobody gives a dam about the propaganda Bush injected us with, nobody believes it and the FBI has a new target of demonization and destruction (us).

Well, at least Trump had a win, but at what cost?

Glad my decision to vote is easy here in Florida.

Now PA has no one worth voting for

Peter Navarro arrested, put in leg irons

Eric holder, gave congress the finger amd made millions as he continues today, causing racial unrest and race blackmail

Mike Flynn, don’t get me started

See a pattern here?

Peter asks that you buy his book because he needs the money to defend himself
Get it on Amazon, preorder comes out in September…I did

I wonder if he will join The Squad? Or, with Tlaib and Omar, start a muslim caucus?

The arrest came one day after Navarro appeared on left-wing MSNBC to promise that he would lead efforts to promote the impeachment of President Joe Biden if Republicans take Congress in the midterm elections, which they are expected to do.

Mauiobserver | June 3, 2022 at 11:32 pm

At least he claims to be America First. Reagan and Trump were both once Democrats but were the best Presidents in the last 50 years. McCormick was a Bush family pick so he would probably be in the Romney range for supporting legislation to reign in the deep state and out of control Federal over reach.

    txvet2 in reply to Mauiobserver. | June 4, 2022 at 12:29 am

That would be a lot more believable if he hadn’t retained his Turkish citizenship.

      Danny in reply to txvet2. | June 4, 2022 at 10:36 am

Should Erdogan open the straights to the Russian Navy allowing Russia to blockade Odessa at a farther distance from the shore and cut off the spigot of Turkish Drones and other weapons into Ukraine?

Why is being born a Turk a disqualifier? Even ignoring the bigotry aspect Turkey is our ally.

This Xenophobia has to end. There is no evidence of Oz not being a loyal American.

His Turkishness probably would be a big asset to us because he knows Turkish and could communicate with many Muslims in their native language.

We alienated the Muslim vote by dehumanizing them and scapegoating them and launching unprovoked wars that killed hundreds of thousands and have a lot of mending to do with that community.

        txvet2 in reply to Danny. | June 4, 2022 at 2:10 pm

“”Why is being born a Turk a disqualifier?””

Why are you always such a liar? I said no such thing.

“”There is no evidence of Oz not being a loyal American.””

There is, however, a lot of evidence that he is a leftist extremist – anti-2A, pro abortion, etc.

The rest of your comment is all gaslighting, and has zero to do with my comment.

          Danny in reply to txvet2. | June 4, 2022 at 11:40 pm

          Guess what you

You did not mention abortion, you did not mention guns, you did not mention any other issues besides Oz being a Turk.

Which is why the answer you got was correctly the answer a xenophobe trying to give a White leftist a seat over a maybe conservative but at least less leftwing Turk one.

By the way if you are stupid enough to think Turkey isn’t an ally just answer the question.

Should Erdogan open the straights to Russian warships (He ABSOLUTELY has the right to do so) and end the spigot of Turkish drones and other weapons into Ukraine?

Because you have an irrational hatred of Turks doesn’t mean pointing out Turkey is an ally is gaslighting.

Stated wasn’t going to vote for him., but good it’s sorted out.

PA presented a poor list of candidates. This is the best they could do so move on. Trump’s candidate, who will probably be a captive Senate vote for Trump, prevailed over the McConnell/Bush/Uniparty squish candidate. It’s a win for Trump and another loss for McConnell.

Stop agonizing about this and please stop with the infantile and ignorant Trump BS. Trump didn’t recruit Oz to run and wasn’t his favorite. But he backed the best of a bad lot and got the win. A win is a win. Move on.

This Turk is a jerk.

That Turk is trying to prevent the senate from turning Blue in November and our ability to stop the spigot of Biden judges just might come down to if that Turk wins and don’t you forget that.

By the way the only thing his ethnicity is relevant to is the fact that he speaks Turkish so could be the man to start effectively mending our relations with the Turkish community in this country which is correctly furious at the party of Bush era dehumanization of them to promote a war completely unprovoked in Iraq.

Give it up. These people have been stuck in the same rut for 50 years. Their nose-holding LOTE arguments are so state that I strongly suspect they are Democrats. It’s as if they’ve been locked in a remote cave for decades and just emerged.

Oh I am a Trump guy, but will admit not impressed with his picks. Oz is a carpetbagger, and have no desire to pick a foreign carpetbagger as someone who represents my outlook of the country. Have suspicion 50% at best we have the same agenda.

Danny in reply to Skip. | June 4, 2022 at 10:59 am

Fetterman has a 0% chance of having the same agenda, will not be handing power in the senate to people with your agenda by making us majority party, will keep the spigot of Biden judges flowing and keep Biden in power over the budget to.

If you have any doubt you should be voting Republican including Oz here is Thaddeus Stevens

“Ah! but he is our rascal.”

One more step downward for the U.S. Senate.

Another observation that may be related to Oz winning the nomination. Elise Stefanik just announced that the GOP will be providing counter programming to “illegitimate January 6 hearing”. I say “may be related” because Stefanik is another Republican (like Ted Cruz) who endorsed the McConnell fave McCormick.

With so many of the GOP heavy-weights endorsing McCormick, he should have won easily. Yet Trump turned that into a surprising (not to me) upset. Did that have anything to do with yesterday’s arrest of Navarro and Stefanik’s announcement today?

The Trump-led anti-Uniparty uprising is surging fast. Woe to the squishes who fail to recognize the long-awaited reversal. I am sure Stefanik would someday like to challenge Schumer for his Senate seat. It wouldn’t be smart for her to now be defying Trump who is likely to be president when/if that happens.

Many squishes are or will soon be having those same thoughts. Count on it. Nothing changes if Trump decides not to run and then endorses DeSantis. Unless DeSantis decides to challenge Trump for the nomination offering an alternate version of Trumpism, he will be jumping on a runaway steamroller to the White House as the real deal.

This is what is happening this year. By 2024, another third of these senators will be up for re-election. Whose endorsement does everyone think they will be begging for? One guess. Let’s not screw this up.

Trump shouldn’t run. Too old, too much of a lightning rod. The Republicans have a huge opportunity, and nominating Trump would blow it.

Building principled alliances wit loosers make you the biggest loose of all. He had a win and if elected has leverage.

While I believe this is a Red state with Blue on the edges, our courts seem to be damned determined to keep mail vote fraud at full rate. It might be a few points difference in real voters but dumping a million open ballots out there is a disaster coming if it happens.
