Biden Reportedly ‘Rattled’ by His Poll Numbers and Angry at Staff for Walking Back His Remarks

Biden Reportedly ‘Rattled’ by His Poll Numbers and Angry at Staff for Walking Back His Remarks

“The so-called clean-up campaign, he has told advisers, undermines him and smothers the authenticity that fueled his rise. Worse, it feeds a Republican talking point that he’s not fully in command.”

Joe Biden is apparently confused by his disastrous poll numbers and annoyed that his staff constantly clarifies his remarks.

This paints a picture of an administration in complete disarray and panicking about cratering support from the public.

One of the most shocking things about this report is that it comes from NBC News:

Inside a Biden White House adrift

Faced with a worsening political predicament, President Joe Biden is pressing aides for a more compelling message and a sharper strategy while bristling at how they’ve tried to stifle the plain-speaking persona that has long been one of his most potent assets.

Biden is rattled by his sinking approval ratings and is looking to regain voters’ confidence that he can provide the sure-handed leadership he promised during the campaign, people close to the president say.

Crises have piled up in ways that have at times made the Biden White House look flat-footed: record inflation, high gas prices, a rise in Covid case numbers — and now a Texas school massacre that is one more horrific reminder that he has been unable to get Congress to pass legislation to curb gun violence. Democratic leaders are at a loss about how he can revive his prospects by November, when midterm elections may cost his party control of Congress.

It’s clear from the article that people expected Biden to be able to manage the presidency easily, given his years of experience in Washington, which is absurd given that he was a lawmaker, except for the eight years where he did next to nothing as Obama’s VP:

Amid a rolling series of calamities, Biden’s feeling lately is that he just can’t catch a break. “Biden is frustrated. If it’s not one thing, it’s another,” said a person close to the president.

An assumption baked into Biden’s candidacy was that he would preside over a smoothly running administration by dint of his decades of experience in public office. Yet there are signs of managerial breakdowns that have angered both him and his party.

It also addresses the fact that Biden repeatedly sticks his foot in his mouth. Staffers have to rush out to ‘clarify’ what he really meant:

Beyond policy, Biden is unhappy about a pattern that has developed inside the West Wing. He makes a clear and succinct statement — only to have aides rush to explain that he actually meant something else. The so-called clean-up campaign, he has told advisers, undermines him and smothers the authenticity that fueled his rise. Worse, it feeds a Republican talking point that he’s not fully in command.

This part is almost unbelievable:

Biden has vented to aides about not getting credit from Americans or the news media for actions he believes have helped the country, particularly on the economy.

Biden doesn’t think he gets any credit from the media? Somewhere, Trump is laughing.

Ace of Spades puts it in perspective:

The magnitude of Joe Biden’s failures is now so large that even Joe Biden is beginning to grasp it. That’s how big a thing this is. Even f’n’ Joe Biden gets it now.

He now realizes that the midterms will be a historic repudiation, and that 2024 will probably be one as well.

And that he will go down as a worse President than Jimmy Carter.

If nothing else, this article is a loud and clear message to the Biden administration from the liberal media.

Get it together or we won’t be able to save you in 2024.

It’s also worth mentioning that on the same day this report dropped on NBC News, Politico reported that black staffers are fleeing the Biden White House:

Biden sees exodus of Black staffers and some frustration among those who remain

At least 21 Black staffers have left the White House since late last year or are planning to leave soon. Some of those who remain say it’s no wonder why: They describe a work environment with little support from their superiors and fewer chances for promotion.

The departures have been so pronounced that, according to one current and one former White House official, some Black aides have adopted a term for them: “Blaxit.”…

The exodus has raised concerns among outside observers who push for the diversification of government ranks.

“I have heard about an exodus of Black staffers from the White House — ‘Blaxit’ — and I am concerned,” said Spencer Overton, president of the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, which tracks government staff diversity numbers. “Black voters accounted for 22 percent of President Biden’s voters in November 2020.

Biden’s presidency is imploding in real time, right before our eyes.

Biden is finding out that maybe a cuck presidency is NOT better than no presidency at all.

he’s delusional and thinks he’s in charge.

The Puppet that roared. He is going off script to be “himself”. Did the puppet masters forget that, like in the Twilight Zone, the puppet may become the master? I wonder what has happened to “him” as he has fewer Delaware basement trips, his stride is less Parkinsonian and he is not fully reduced to 2-3 hour daily work schedule as in the past.

Peabody in reply to alaskabob. | June 1, 2022 at 7:57 pm

Yes, but one thing Biden does not do is use the Oval Office any more because a teleprompter is too small for his retarded needs. They have set up a ‘fake White House’ where there is a gigantic screen on the wall that he reads from,

henrybowman in reply to Peabody. | June 1, 2022 at 10:20 pm

        Doesn’t make sense.
Why not just wheel a giant screen into the Oval Office?
        Way less carpentry involved.

Martin in reply to alaskabob. | June 2, 2022 at 9:09 am

My guesses are they were finally able to get a good enough facsimile of his basement to fool him so he can be taken there to be reset daily and they have been able to get his drugs balanced to stretch his viable hours somewhat. Plus they have figured out how to hide that he isn’t doing anything for hours at a time.

henrybowman | June 1, 2022 at 11:09 am

“Beyond policy, Biden is unhappy about a pattern that has developed inside the West Wing. He makes a clear and succinct statement — only to have aides rush to explain that he actually meant something else.”

That’s invariably because his “clear and succinct statement” was certifiably insane. So what’s the alternative, Joe?

He’s a puppet who runs nothing. He didn’t even get a say is who his running mate is.

The idiot taped in a moron smothered in imbecile sauce has a right to be worried, if he even can be worried as he and his fellow travelers haven’t long to remain in control,FJB/LGB.

I suppose we will find out if he is upset enough to dismiss offending staff, though that presupposes Biden is actually in charge v the staff……

Arminius in reply to CommoChief. | June 1, 2022 at 1:48 pm

We should all be grateful he sucks at his job. If he were competent at his work given his job in his own view us destroying the country we’d be going to hell in a handbrake a lot faster.

He’s not in charge of dismissing staff—not his purview.

The Gentle Grizzly | June 1, 2022 at 11:13 am

Have there been any of those Hitler-in-the-bunker / Downfall videos of Biden?

MajorWood in reply to The Gentle Grizzly. | June 1, 2022 at 6:56 pm

I don’t think they’d be able to go far enough with them. 🙁 That being said, the “Hitler reacts to the Hitler parodies being removed from YouTube” version is, IMHO, possibly the greatest piece of parody done in the last 20 years. Brutally accurate and also predicting stuff that had yet to happen. When you see these on the web, make plans to d/l and save them immediately, because the really good stuff doesn’t last long, unless a lot of us have personal copies on isolated boxes. Most people don’t realize that they save space in the cloud by having one copy of the file, and then a huge number of pointers to that file from the individual users. When they want that file gone, it is poof and it is gone for everyone. As a person once told me, a file doesn’t exist unless it is located in three separate physical locations.

Maybe if you staffed your WH with people based on their competence rather than race, sexual orientation, etc… Think that would make a difference Brandon? Or maybe you need one more tranny? Or maybe since there are 70-80-90 genders and y0ur WH only includes about 4-5, you aren’t “inclusive” enough to be effective?

Maybe if the WH were staffed with Americans who when they took their Article VI oath of faithfulness to the Constitution meant that oath. Including Biden himself. As it is there is no Democrat either in the WH or in Congress (both houses) who is faithful to the oath. The Constitution is intended to maximize liberty for the people by LIMITING the created federal government. At EVERY turn Ds increase the size and reach of government.

The White House staff just issued a statement clarifying the president’s remarks that were taken out of context. That is, The President is very happy with his poll numbers and is grateful to his staff for reinforcing and supporting his comments.

Awww… the poor election-stealing, grifting retard got his feeling hurt?

Fuck you, Joe Biden*

Biden is too addled to be rattled.

Not fully aware of what is going on. Physically incapable of handling the job and mentally unfit to make decisions.

No different than dead El Cid on a horse.

henrybowman in reply to Peabody. | June 1, 2022 at 11:42 am

Biden would be as disappointed to learn that those “81 million votes” he got weren’t actually from actual people who actually liked him, as he was to learn at age 24 that the quarters he was finding under his pillow weren’t actually from the Tooth Fairy.

Whitewall in reply to Peabody. | June 1, 2022 at 11:43 am

Until this man is removed from the White House, until (R)s get in and lead properly, I do not care about poll numbers, exiting staffers, etc. The damage being done to America is still relentless.

I don’t know why Biden is blaming others. His poll numbers are entirely his fault.

I do not believe for ONE second that Joe Biden has the thought capacity to “think” about his poll numbers.

Did you see the conference with Powell yesterday? Feeble, old Joe sitting in a chair having to read cue cards in his lap to make even the most basic comments about inflation, interest rates and the Fed as apparently there is no way to rig the teleprompter for a setting like that.

It would be pathetic and sad were it not so dangerous.

Okay Grandpa, playtime is over. Time for a nap. Stop yelling and let go of the microphone. C’mon. Let’s go.

Biden’s presidency is imploding in real time, right before our eyes.

And he’s taking the whole country with him.

To be fair, this isn’t really about Biden. Biden is just a craven, despicable, retarded lowlife who would sell his own mother to be elected dogcatcher. This is really, though, the finishing touches of Barkys work to destroy America. In fact, barky is hopping mad that Biden is getting credit for blowing the place up when this all goes back to him and everything he did and everything he was allowed to do.

It will all come to a head when the Fed finally loses control and the dollar implodes. That is going to be something that just seems to happen, one day, the same way that the credit crisis of 2008 appeared. Only this time, there won’t be any “money” left to buy more time with. The jig will be up and the piper will finally be paid. At that point, all bets will be off.

The disintegration of the US dollar will be a unique event in human history. There have been many monetary implosions before, but never the world’s trade and reserve currency. The devastation and the pain is going to be biblical.

The only possible way to avoid this eventuality was for the US economy to outgrow the problem, which Trump tried to do as best he could. Biden reversed all those policies – to go back to the barky policies of hamstringing the US economy and Americans at every turn. Leftist policies always bring on, at best, stagnation, and in this context especially, stagnation is sure death.

I agree with everything you said until the part about the dollar imploding. Dare I ask, implode against what? The Euro? It’s trashier. The Yuan? China’s economy is built on mountains of debt that can never be repaid. What else? What replaces the dollar? Gold? Not a chance? Crypto? Maybe some day and the dollar has already imploded vs BTC and ETH.

And let’s also remember that Trump spent like a drunken sailor too and wanted to spend even more. He also brow beat the Fed to keep rates at zero when they should have started climbing 8-10 years ago.

henrybowman in reply to Massinsanity. | June 1, 2022 at 10:37 pm

      Three words: global digital currency.
      Check out HR2211, HR296, HR5045, HR3506, and HR3638.
They are not DOA bills, they are moving.
Check out patent #WO 2020/060606 A1, owned by Microsoft, for “Crypto currency system using body activity data.”
And, scariest, the patent; #US 2020/0151682 A1, 2020-05-14, owned by Visa International for “Digital Fiat Currency” which facilitates “the removal of the physical currency [replaced by the new digital currency] from circulation [by] physically destroying the physical currency, the physical currency being fiat currency.”
The globalists want to be able to valve off your access to your own personal assets the same way Trudeau valved off the truckers’ assets.

For a guy who has been in politics for 50 years, you’d think he’d be better at this.

But he isn’t fully in command. He never has been. I’m sure he’s laboring under the delusion that 81 million people voted for him, too. Sit the F down, Brandon.

I don’t know, Joey, maybe for once in 50 years of sucking off the public trough you could try not sucking at your job?

Arminius in reply to Jack Klompus. | June 1, 2022 at 1:43 pm

We should all be grateful he sucks at his job. If he were competent at his work given his job in his own view us destroying the country we’d be going to hell in a handbrake a lot faster.

Biden is a fool who is in charge of nothing. Most liberals aren’t even pretending that he’s any kind of leader at this point.

This is just the idiot liberals in the Deep State realizing that the far left insanity has been SO bad, so fast, and that Biden is so obviously NOT making decisions, that Biden is no longer useful as a fall guy, because liberals in general are being blamed.

This is just them frantically trying to project Biden ‘in charge’ so they can blame everything on him.

It’s not going to work.

Biden reminds me of American Idol and those delusional auditioners whose parents encouraged them to sing through a childhood of false praise. The incredulous protests and shocked faces they would made when the panel laughed them off the stage after just 2-3 notes of an ear-shattering performance.

Though at Biden’s age, the Gong Show is a better metaphor.

Olinser in reply to MrE. | June 1, 2022 at 2:20 pm

There’s a reason Simon was so popular, and it was because he wasn’t interested in sugar coating anything to ear-destroying idiots that were living in a delusional fantasy that they were anything other than a terrible singer.

He’s right that the constant walkbacks on his remarks paint him as ineffective, not-in-control, and senile.

He’s wrong in thinking this isn’t warranted.

If you hire snowflakes, what are the chances they’ll be happy on the job.

“except for the eight years where he did next to nothing as Obama’s VP:”

Well, its not true he did nothing during that time. He was hard at work with his son to set up corrupt dealings in Ukraine and China.

1. How many white staffers have left the Biden White House or are planning to leave?

Context matters.

2. This article could have been written during Obama’s first term (and I think with some different wording actually was), who we put up matters a lot we could still grasp defeat from the jaws of victory (i.e. fail to take the senate then fail to take the white house).

3. Biden thinks the problem is he isn’t far enough to the left? Or is he disputing his being pressured into giving student debt forgiveness and the pressure he gets put under to make speeches about that he very clearly doesn’t believe in? The difference matters because if it is the former that means he is more out of touch than people think, if it is the latter it means he still has some grasp on the public and may be a more dangerous opponent than people think.

Life sure was a lot simpler for Biden back when he only had Korn-Pop and his gang to deal with, or when he was setting up his influence-peddling racket.

Poor guy.

Do the demented, retarded, communist pedophile traitor is surprised when his anti-American policies cause pain for Americans and they like him much less because of it?

Massinsanity | June 1, 2022 at 5:17 pm

The only positive I can see through all this inflation is it should at least drive all the MMT devotees back under the rocks from which they crawled.

Biden is confused why his poll numbers are tanking for two reasons: onset of Alzheimer’s and the fact that the entrenched bureaucracy in the fourth branch of government is setting policy.

Biden just signs what is put in front of him, and I’ll bet he is not being told what it is.

henrybowman in reply to George S. | June 1, 2022 at 10:40 pm

In his first week, at least he was actually asking. We have it on video. I bet that stopped soon.

Post Turtle
Pretty funny but true!
While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75-year-old Virginia farmer, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man.
Eventually the topic got around to Joe Biden and his role as our president. The old farmer said, ‘Well, ya know, Biden is a ‘Post Turtle”.
Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him, what a ‘post turtle’ was? The old farmer said, ‘When you’re driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that’s a ‘post turtle’. The old farmer saw the puzzled look on the doctor’s face, so he continued to explain. “You know he didn’t get up there by himself, he doesn’t belong up there, he doesn’t know what to do while he’s up there, he’s elevated beyond his ability to function, and you just wonder what kind of dumb ass put him up there, to begin with.”
This is the best explanation of Joe Biden’s presidency.
If criminal Biden was given a mental competency exam by a Professional Mental Health Institution, they would most likely require him to be committed immediately. Hell he gets lost on the White House lawns, has no idea where he is, what date/time it is, where he worked, and can’t even read a teleprompter. He is a total idiot, an embarrassment to the Country, and himself! World leaders do not respect or trust him and he is going to inflict potential severe destruction to the USA and it’s citizens if not removed from office… And the Ho is even worse. She is despised by all, has no experience, her uppity entitlement attitude, and is not a natural born USA citizen therefore ineligible to serve as President!

franciscodanconia | June 1, 2022 at 8:49 pm

All kidding aside, were staring down the barrel of a gun here in the States.

The Fed has an important decision to make come September. According to my local latest and greatest news, Biden is plotting a “fight” with the Fed over inflation.

Folks, we’re screwed. The only proper path out of this are massive hikes in interest rates, and we all know that ain’t happenin’. I hear Biden plans to “forgive” $10K in student loan debt per borrower, soon. I don’t think he has the political will or clout to make it happen, and by that I mean his handlers. His administration is spiraling downward, fast, and that alone will leave a psychological dent in an already slowing economy. Interest on student loans is set to spike just as borrowers are supposed to get back to paying their loan payments, end of the Summer. Just as gas will hit $6+ nationally, and a huge spike in food costs is due before the Winter.

Altogether, the latest coming from the WH makes his administration look totally weak and aimless. They know he and the Dems are toast, just how toast they’ll be the day after election day is anyone’s guess.

This doesn’t pass the smell test. It assumes Biden knows he’s President.

The only reason Biden is still alive is that his “vice president” has to work too hard to perform as well as a Wisconsin cheese curd, otherwise he would’ve been Arkancided the first month into his “presidency.”
