NBC Poll: 75% Say Country On Wrong Track; Biden Approval At 39%

NBC News has released a new poll that contains nothing but bad news for Democrats, though they are clinging to the finding that more Americans are counting abortion as a top concern and apparently hope that returning the issue to the states will galvanize an increasingly unhappy American people to vote for more inflation, more failed energy policies, more of the Biden Democrats’ America Last agenda. I’m not sure that’s a solid position for the Democrats.

That wrong-track number has been 70-plus for SEVEN months, which —in the past — has signaled big losses for the governing party.

BUT abortion is now center stage:
60% say abortion should be legal all or most of the time — the highest ever in our polls — versus 37% who say it should illegal all or most of the time.
And abortion has now become the TOP issue for single-issue voters.

As you can imagine, this poll finding has upset and frightened partisan infotainment purveyors like NBC’s Chuck Todd.

In a segment of NBC’s Meet the Press Sunday, host Chuck Todd warned of a disaster looming for Democrats in the 2022 midterm elections. His comments came in light of a new poll from the network indicating that three-quarters of Americans believe the country is headed down the wrong path.
“Voters views about the economy begin to harden in an election year around May. If that theory holds, Democrats are in some serious trouble right now because in our new NBC News poll, just 16 percent say the country is headed in the right direction while a whopping 75 percent say we’re on the wrong track,” he said. “In fact, that number has been 70 plus for the last seven months, which in the past has signaled big losses for the governing party.”
President Biden’s approval rating continues to sink amid ongoing inflation and supply-chain crises, a baby-formula shortage, conflict in Ukraine, still frequent migrant surges across the southern border, and other major problems. Only 39 percent of U.S. adults and 42 percent of registered voters approve of Biden’s performance almost two years into his presidency, according to the NBC News survey. Disapproval with Biden’s job conduct is 56 percent among adults and 54 percent among registered voters.

To understand the immense weight of Todd’s last statement and the amazement he seems to experience just uttering the words, remember that Democrats, their media lapdogs, Big Tech, and the FBI/CIA spent four years relentlessly hounding President Trump. Hammering the president daily with false accusations and ongoing witch hunts that culminated in two impeachments by the House. Despite their efforts and the doubt and lies they spread as their gospel, however, President Trump enjoyed a surprisingly high approval rating.
The “walls are closing in” stuff never went anywhere. Indeed, President Trump won 10 million more votes in 2020 than he had won in 2016. Given the coordinated efforts to undermine him at every turn, that is truly remarkable.
By contrast, Biden is said to have won 81 million votes, far outstripping the much more popular Obama, and floated into office with the media breathlessly declaring him the president who would join the vaunted ranks of FDR, JFK, and LBJ.
Biden has enjoyed a swooningly friendly press, Big Tech censorship in his favor, and countless fluff pieces about his favorite ice cream and foods, while the “fact checkers” run endless cover for his numerous lies, gaffes, scandals, and assorted oddness. So naturally Todd is flabbergasted that the American people are looking at the America Last Biden administration’s myriad failures across every area of domestic policy and giving him—and his party—a gigantic thumbs down.

Who??? They appear to be a sub-group of the 39% who are cool with where we are headed. You have to wonder about the 9% who are neither (in the 75 who disapprove and and the 16% who do approve). Who might that 9% be holding accountable for all the troubles or are they unaware of life in general?
And its 39% approve of Joe’s performance and 56% disapprove. That seems to indicate that there are people who don’t like where the country is headed (whatever that means) and those who are OK with Joe’s performance. Is the 9% of brain dead responders the same people in both polls?
You also have to remember: this is a Democrat media “poll”.
Which, given the 10% or so head start Dems generally get in these polls, means things are a whole lot worse than they admit. There’s going to be some really serious cheating this time around, even more than 2020.

The midterms will be a referendum on the personal finances of the electorate. Everything else is a distraction from that which is why the WH, d/prog and media keep trotting out new issues;

Domestic extremists/white nationalists
Abortion/gun control
A blowout is very likely coming in November. Don’t be complacent but don’t fall for the ‘everything is rigged’ BS and refuse to cast a ballot because your political opponents have managed to trick you or others into letting them win by default. The easiest way to lose an election is to forfeit. Anyone telling you your vote doesn’t count is working to advance the cause of the d/prog. The only question is whether these folks are aware they are being used.
Maybe more that just personal finances, which includes plunging retirement accounts.
I think there could be two other issues. There really isn’t any baby formula available – my wife has searched extensively locally for a friend in another state – and I have seen a manufacturer comment that the shortage will last until yearend. Shipping it to illegals will not go over well. The other issue is that IMO Biden has a 100% track record of failure. Therefore, even if you are OK financially, I suspect that kind of a record eventually has its own impact.

A ‘blowout’ may come, but if McConnell is in charge of OUR Senate, and McCarthy is in charge of OUR House, the only ‘blowout’ will be the tragedy of allowing these two swamp rats to destroy the last chance we had to save our nation.
True. We need to do a better job of selecting who will be our Congressman and Senator, sending the most populist, tea party, MAGA candidates to DC. Over time we get a critical mass of these who haven’t sold out to the establishment and will oppose the business as usual attitude.

39% is a higher approval rate than the percentage of the 2020 election vote he received. So it sounds like more democrats are brain dead now than two years ago.
Abortion being a top issue is a bald-faced lie. That is not even registering anywhere in the country and this sorry poll own numbers contradicts abortion being a top issue. If 75% is saying the country is going in the wrong direction they’re not going to then turn around and say their most important issue is abortion and that it should be legal.

You would have to be a total idiot to accept Chuck Todd and NBC as neutral observers. This tells me that Bidens real approval is at about 25 percent. Lets not begin believing polls again.

Wrong track during the Obama administration was always high, and a significant part of the Democrat Party believe Joe Biden isn’t leftist enough (you will get conspiracy theories about how Biden is masterminding his own defeats in the senate).
That Biden has 39% during an economic crisis while pushing radical leftist social policy is not particularly good news. He should be hovering at 10% if that.
If anyone thinks that 39% approve of Brain Dead Biden is real you are seriously in need of a shrink. I never trust any poll as they can be manipulated by the people giving them, the questions, and who they give it to. The real numbers are likely half or less of that. Nobody is happy except the massive illegals flooding across our border as they invade the USA.
