Biden’s New Anita Dunn-Led, Focus Grouped ‘Ultra-MAGA’ Tag Backfires Spectacularly

Biden’s New Anita Dunn-Led, Focus Grouped ‘Ultra-MAGA’ Tag Backfires Spectacularly

“Well … If loving your Country and wanting to put AMERICA FIRST makes you ULTRA MAGA, then yes. WE ARE ULTRA MAGA.”

Joe Biden has found a new way to insult Trump, his supporters, and other Republicans by calling them “ultra-MAGA.”

I actually shouldn’t say he found it. It was given to him by consultants after months of exhaustive research.

It has also blown up in his face.

From the Washington Post:

Biden sees a new threat: ‘Ultra MAGA’ Republicans

Last Wednesday, during a speech on the economy, President Biden coined a new phrase — “ultra MAGA.”

“Let me tell you about this ultra MAGA agenda,” Biden said, using former president Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign slogan — “Make America Great Again” — as a pejorative. “It’s extreme, as most MAGA things are.”

Then, in the subsequent days, Biden and his team continued to hammer Republicans in aggressive terms, attacking them as “MAGA” and “ultra MAGA.” Biden even dismissed his predecessor at one point as “the great MAGA king.”

It took scant time for Republicans to gleefully seize on the moniker as their own, triumphantly elevating it as a brand worthy of celebration. “I am ultra MAGA, and I’m proud of it,” said Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), the No. 3 House Republican, after a reporter Wednesday noted that she was “being called ultra MAGA.”

The same day, Trump’s Save America super PAC sent out a fundraising email featuring a $45 T-shirt bearing the image of Trump as Superman — a Trump “T” stretched across his chest rather than Superman’s iconic “S” — flying below the banner of “SUPERMAGA” in a red-and-yellow comic book font.

“Did you hear what Joe Biden called us? He said we were an EXTREME POLITICAL ORGANIZATION. He said we were ULTRA MAGA,” read the email pitch. “Well … If loving your Country and wanting to put AMERICA FIRST makes you ULTRA MAGA, then yes. WE ARE ULTRA MAGA.”

It doesn’t look like Trump is too worried about this.

And other people on the right have had a great time with it.

A bit further down in that Washington Post article, we find out who was behind this:

Biden’s attempt to appropriate the “MAGA” brand as a political attack was hardly accidental. It arose from a six-month research project to find the best way to target Republicans, helmed by Biden adviser Anita Dunn and by the Center for American Progress Action Fund, a liberal group.

That would be the same Anita Dunn who worked for Obama and is a big fan of Mao:

Wow, even Brandon’s researchers suck. Love the “Grease” tweet!

Did they not learn what happened after Hillary tried to insult us as “deplorables”?

      irishgladiator63 in reply to Idonttweet. | May 14, 2022 at 12:33 pm

You know, I was wondering if he was supposed to say alt-MAGA, like their bogey man “alt right” and Biden just screwed it up.

When someone is as detested as Brandon, it doesn’t matter what they do trying to be cool. Nothing overcomes the main problem: being Brandon. We just wear their insults with pride and flaunt them.

Yeah, the next day Glenn Beck rubbed cheetoes on his face and said “Orange Man bad.”

When asked about rubbing baby food on his face to mock Biden, Beck said he was too busy delivering baby formula to the border to worry about it.

Leftists learn? That stopped in high school for them. Maybe earlier.

I think it’s safe to say that Biden’s team doesn’t understand how branding works.

If ‘ultra MAGA’ is what these fools are going to hang their hot on in an attempt to stave off a midterm blowout…..

One of those comments where I wish I could give more than one thumbs up! MAGA might be a pejorative to the DC elite but it’s most decidedly not to a vast swath of the country!

I’d love the opportunity to teach Biden how branding works.
The wood fire out here is just about ready for work.

The Gentle Grizzly | May 14, 2022 at 10:59 am

Biden is such a pathetic, broken-down old man.

Anita Dunn: Sooper Geenyus. She must have done all her focus-grouping with Wile E. Coyote at the Acme Corporation.

Dimsdale in reply to MarkJ. | May 14, 2022 at 11:33 pm

Her speech basically made my argument for not following wokeism; I don’t let others define what I do or think.

Maybe she should be called Anita Dumb.

This is as much fun as when Hillary called us deplorables!! LOL!

EPIC FAIL, like everything else the Biden regime has done.

The next plan will be calling people “Super Ultra MAGA”

same game different day. It’s worked in the past. I’m so old I remember being called:

alt-right
tea-bagger
and then there’s the alt-right-cis-gender tag if you were on double secret probation.

They trot out the same tricks each time. Might be less effort to come up with an original thought, but that precludes any of them from holding the positions they actually hold.

Dimsdale in reply to Andy. | May 14, 2022 at 11:36 pm

I recall the term “teabagging” being used. Nobody that wasn’t depraved had no idea what it meant. I sure didn’t, and wish I didn’t now.

It was a dog whistle for the leftists.

The left simply cannot meme

The “research” probably cost a few hundred grand and they came up with Ultra MAGA. We’re governed by malicious idiots.

I guess Anita didn’t realize that we “Trump cultists” are not the stupid branch of the Stupid Party. We vastly outnumber those Republican Brandons and like to win. The worst part of winning for us is having to listen to the Republican Brandons whining about the mean tweets and Trump’s terrible staff choices as he fights the entire Uniparty swamp while becoming the most effective conservative president in history. Yeah I know. Stupid.

txvet2 in reply to Pasadena Phil. | May 14, 2022 at 1:08 pm

“”most effective conservative president in history””

Maybe a distant second. BTW, you forgot to include his crappy front-running endorsements.

“The worst part of winning for us is having to listen to the Republican Brandons whining about the mean tweets and Trump’s terrible staff choices”

…but Trump’s terrible staff choices WERE the Republican Brandons!

I’m putting the finishing touches on a 1/7 scale radio control B-25 Mitchell, and I haven’t yet settled upon what nose art to use. I think I’ll talk to my custom decal guy about some WWII themed nose art incorporating the UltraMAGA moniker.

Thanks for the inspiration Brandon!

Hee hee!

Am I allowed to wear political stuff at the polls when I go to vote on Tuesday?

White House leak of proposed Executive Order:

“Due to recent emergence of the new Ultra MAGA President Biden directs the following action be taken:

1. Transfer Jen Psaki to CNN to spin this to our advantage.

2. Begin partial transfer of 100,000,000 units of baby formula from Migrant Reception Centers to store shelves to mollify angry democrat mothers.

3. Request immediate activation of Ultra Foul Old Indian to bang drum in the faces of Ultra MAGA hat wearers.

4. Activate Midnight Ballot Drop off boxes in all major cites.”

Another “Basket of Deplorables’ moment for the Democrats.

    jb4 in reply to Valerie. | May 14, 2022 at 3:35 pm

Basket of UltraDeplorables works as well, looking for an UltraMAGA blowout in November, driven, sadly, by moms worried about starving babies, roaring inflation and plunging retirement accounts.

“Last Wednesday, during a speech on the economy, President Biden coined a new phrase — “ultra MAGA.” ”
———

Tottering, feeble, dim-witted dotard-marionette Biden “coined” this latest demagoguery agitprop phrase? No — more accurately, his marionette handlers/chaperones/caretakers/minders in the White House and the Obama cabal, did.

I’m pro-U.S., pro-Israel, pro-free markets, pro-unborn children, pro-law enforcement officers, pro-military personnel, pro-charter school and pro-Second Amendment. I’m also anti-criminal, anti-race hustler, anti-Muslim supremacist/terrorist, anti-communist, anti-“Anti-fa,” anti-“Black Lives Matter,” anti-totalitarian and anti-Critical Race Theory.”

I suppose I’m “Ultra MAGA,” too. And, I’ll declare so, proudly.

guyjones in reply to guyjones. | May 14, 2022 at 3:55 pm

Oh, I’m anti-illegal immigration, too. I believe in enforcing border security and I support the swift deportation of illegal aliens who are caught and processed at the border, or, elsewhere. “Illegal alien” — not “undocumented immigrant,” “undocumented American,” “migrant,” or, any of the other ridiculous and dishonest euphemisms that the vile Dumb-o-crats choose to employ to refer to such people.

henrybowman | May 14, 2022 at 3:57 pm

“a six-month research project to find the best way to target Republicans, helmed by Biden adviser Anita Dunn and by the Center for American Progress Action Fund, a liberal group.”

OMG, bro, call the rescue squad! It’s another leftist group playing with loaded memes… and they went off!

E Howard Hunt | May 14, 2022 at 4:08 pm

Joe’s mind was bent by MK-Ultra.

Vile dotard, Biden, and his marionette handlers/caretakers/chaperones invested more time, energy and research into this vile “Ultra MAGA” demagoguery slander than they did into prepping for the Afghanistan withdrawal — or, with regard to any other policy that’s been proffered by this manifestly incompetent and destructive Administration.
