Biden Brings Up Travel Mask Mandate When Asked About…Title 42
Title 42 has to do with immigration. It has nothing to do with the travel mask mandate.
Why does President Joe Biden think Title 42 is about the travel mask mandate? That’s a rhetorical question.
Reporter: “Are you considering lifting Title 42?”
Biden: “There’s going to be an appeal by the Justice Department. Because there’s a matter of principle, we want to be able to be in a position where, in fact, it is strongly concluded by the scientists that we need Title 42, that we’d be able to do that. But there has been no decision on extending Title 42.”

Title 42 is a COVID pandemic order from the Trump administration, which allows the country to quickly deport migrants back to their country of origin.
Title 42 has nothing to do with the travel mask mandate. A federal judge struck down the CDC’s public transportation mask mandate.
The DOJ will appeal the decision.
But again…Title 42 has nothing to do with the travel mask mandate. No wonder this man doesn’t talk much in public.

In fairness to Biden, the mask mandate and use of title 42 provisions are predicated on the same thing; a public health emergency due to Rona. Likely there have been background briefings about messaging and that they could potentially use the ruling against CDC authority in the mask mandate case to blame it for rescinding use of Title 42 authority. ‘..gosh we know the border is getting overwhelmed but this Trump Judge tied our hands…’
Title 42 was going away anyhow. The public transportation mask mandate, not so much. It was never about a virus, only about control.
It is about control that much is correct. However, Title 42, section 262 of the US code is a statute. It isn’t going away. The use of the authority granted by title 42, to prohibit entry to the US due to ‘serious danger of the introduction of communicable diseases’ when the CDC declares that risk is contingent upon the existence of that ‘serious danger’.
So either there is a contagious disease so severe that use of emergency powers is warranted or there is not. Here the admin and CDC want to fight the mask mandate ruling that it was an unconstitutional act because they want to keep the power that they have asserted but was rejected by the trial CT, to exercise control in the future.
They could have tried to spin the ending use of title 42 authority as an immigration control by linking it to the ruling in this case and tried to assert blame on a ‘Trump Judge labeled unqualified by the ABA’. That they didn’t seize that opportunity suggests to me that they won’t end use of Title 42 authority in May.

Unfortunately, the title 42 enforcement is the only enforcement the pedophile-in-chief has ever actually used down there. Get rid of that and they may as well just chain the gates open and walk away.
