Fauci Warns of a Possible New COVID Variant so You Better Prepare New COVID Restrictions
Fauci said it would only be “temporary.” You know, as he said in 2020.
Dr. Anthony Fauci crawled out from under his bridge, trying to keep himself relevant with some more fear porn about a new COVID variant:
In an interview on the BBC’s “Sunday Morning,” Fauci said U.S. residents “need to be prepared for the possibility” of restrictions being put back into place.
Presenter Sophie Raworth asked if a new infectious COVID-19 variant could lead to future lockdowns and mask mandates.
“I don’t want to use the word ‘lockdowns.’ That has a charged element to it. But, I believe that we must keep our eye on the pattern of what we’re seeing with infections,” he said, noting that the U.S. is currently moving toward normalcy.
“Having said that, we need to be prepared for the possibility that we would have another variant that would come along,” Fauci noted. “And then, if things change and we do get a variant that does give us an uptick in cases and hospitalization, we should be prepared and flexible enough to pivot toward going back – at least temporarily – to a more rigid type of restrictions, such as requiring masks indoor.”
I’m laughing in Oklahoman right now. We’ve been mask free since the beginning of 2021.
I wonder what changed Fauci’s mind. Last week he told The Washington Post he didn’t think we’d see an “uptick” of COVID cases.
I guess Fauci is tired of being pushed aside. I bet he blames Putin.

The torture was committed on the Beagles so that they would be come infected with the parasites carried by the sandflies carried and the experimenters could then test an experimental drug that they thought would eliminate the parasites transmitted to the dogs.

Fauci actually believes anything he says is on par with the Ten Commandments coming down from Mt. Sinai & cannot believe that he could be wrong in any manner when pontificating about Covid & the pandemic. Fauci simply cannot abide the fact that he’s no longer on the talk show circuit (CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC etc) multiple times a day. Fauci cannot abide the fact that people aren’t worshipping at his feet any longer. And most importantly, Fauci cannot stand the fact he is becoming more and more irrelevant as the “pandemic” winds down and people return to normal life.
And that’s why Fauci simply doesn’t retire. His narcissism and ego won’t prevent him from doing so.

When Trump left office on Jan 20, 2021 there were ~413,000 “confirmed” deaths. This was almost no vaccine availability and the most novel conditions to spread the virus possible. This is the period that lefties like to hyperbolically claim “Trump murdered people!”
Since Jan 20,2020, there have been ~564,000 MORE “confirmed” deaths (to a total of ~980,000). This is the period of the Biden-Harris admin WITH the vaccine and more natural immunity.
If you are a liberal skeptic and say “yeah but that’s more time”…as of Jan 20,2022, there were ~452,000 MORE confirmed deaths in a 1 year span (~865,000 total deaths)

Now, some of you know I do support elective vaccination. You should know that during that time, the case fatality ratio did fall. It DID fall a good bit before the vaccine was widely distributed (due to two things: naturalized immunity and natural selection against the most vulnerable). However, there’s reason to believe that the vaccine does confer some severity protection (not case protection) just based on how immune cross-reactivity works if you are willing to accept the risks of vaccination. That’s why it should be a personal and voluntary decision. CFR in the US now hovers around 1.2%

POINT BEING: Conservatives need to be hammering this more to show Biden admin’s lack of ability to control anything pandemic-related despite their claims. You have to also realize that even non-physicians can make some contributions to society, despite their handicaps of not being physicians. Newton, Maxwell, Einstein, Schrödinger, Edison, Tesla, Pauling and Feynman to name a few made contributions, and (as far as I know) they were not even supervised by physicians in their work.When Apollo 13 had a problem, Houston, somebody calculated the precise trajectory necessary for improvised reentry into the atmosphere without a bounce (too flat) or a straight shot (burn up) – a physician wasn’t even involved!! It even worked without a physician doing it.
Obviously physicians could do those things with one brain lobe tied behind their back, but these contributors to society free physicians up to do important physician things, like making absolutely sure their Medicaid billings to the state are not accidently too high, and making sure that all of their incentives from pharmaceutical companies are listed on their tax declarations. Surgeons can use the extra time to remind OR nurses once again that any and all suspected instances of malpractice they might see during operations are to be immediately reported.
