Beto O’Rourke Comes Out Against Critical Race Theory in Schools

Beto O’Rourke Comes Out Against Critical Race Theory in Schools

“O’Rourke at first dodged the issue, telling a crowd member that the concepts of CRT are not being taught in schools at present.”

Now that Beto O’Rourke is running for governor of Texas, he is suddenly trying to appear moderate on a number of issues.

He recently backtracked on wanting to take away everyone’s AR-15, and now he has decided he doesn’t want Critical Race Theory taught in schools.

Timothy H.J. Nerozzi reports at FOX News:

Beto O’Rourke comes out against critical race theory in schools

Texas gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke became one of the first Democratic Party leaders to explicitly come out against critical race theory (CRT) in schools.

O’Rourke spoke to a crowd of Texas in Victoria on Friday, where he was asked about critical race theory’s appropriateness for being taught in grade schools. O’Rourke at first dodged the issue, telling a crowd member that the concepts of CRT are not being taught in schools at present.

“And I think you and I are probably on the same page as well. We don’t see CRT being taught in our schools right now. It is a course that is taught in law schools,” O’Rourke said.

Immediately after his comment, a member of the audience asked if O’Rourke supported CRT in schools, to which the gubernatorial candidate said, “No, I don’t think [CRT] should be taught in our schools.”

Here’s the video:

Jenny Goldsberry of the Washington Examiner reminds us that this was not always Beto’s position:

This is seemingly a change from O’Rourke’s previous comments on the matter, where he danced around the topic.

“We should know the full story of Texas and the full story of the United States of America,” the candidate said in early February. “Not only our founding ideals and principles, but the way that those ideals and principles were often violated by the people who wrote them or the fact that so much of the wealth and opportunity in this state was actually created by people who had no choice in the deal whatsoever. … If we don’t, then we’re trafficking in myths and things that just are not true.”

Meanwhile, O’Rourke’s opponent, incumbent Gov. Greg Abbott, signed a ban on CRT into law in June of last year.

He’s such a fraud.

Beto taking this position just shows how toxic CRT has become for Democrats. It’ll eventually end up on the scrap heap of history with defunding the police.

He is “against” CRT just like Obama was “against” gay marriage.
If he gets into power, he will suddenly become enlightened and give full support to CRT, although he may (just barely) have wits enough to give it a different name to fool the rubes and the complicit media.

That comment is worth a hundred dollars Johnny.

Its not CRT if you just call CRT something different

CRT by any other name smells just as sh***y.
And so does Francis O by his fake nickname.

Remember, this is the guy who said he absolutely wanted to take AR-15’s from law abiding citizens.

Then after he announced he was running for TxGov, he said he’d changed his mind.

Then yesterday at SXSW he changed it back again.

Anyone who believes “Beto” is actually against CRT needs to have their head examined.

Obviously a lying POS who would do an about-face the moment of his swearing-in.

He probably will say he doesn’t want to confiscate your guns again now as well.

Beat me to it and exactly right! Anybody paying attention, especially to Beto’s previous positions, knows this for what it is: a politician saying anything to get into office. The only real question is would it be an immediate about face or would he give it a little time, wait for people to be distracted and try to slip it in.

Ah Beto O’Rourke–a lying little weasel who changes his positions more often than he changes his boxer shorts.

He is a devoted adherent of the Groucho Marx school of politics. “If you don’t like my principles, I have others”.

Color me not convinced.

He is simply dropping the “theory” and replacing with “fact”. Like when he appeared to recant his “taking” everyone’s AR15s to “not taking anything from anyone” to “buying back” the AR15s. Beto is a human fog machine.

Beto’s slogan…..”Can I say anything at this point to get elected?”

This cuck’s campaign text’d me recently asking what I thought of Beto for Governor of Texas. I replied “tell that gun-grabbing pussy to suck a cock.” The fund-raising NPC replied with “no need to be rude” to which I responded “infringing on my inalienable rights is rude.” A few days later he flip-flopped on gun confiscation. Coincidence? lol

He once claimed he would never accept PAC money, then he quietly took $180K of JStreetPAC cash.

He’s a liar whose name is is Robert Francis O’Rourke. Calling him “Beto” is playing into his shtick. We aren’t his family and sure as hell not his friends.

“Hi there!
What’s your name?
What do you want to hear me promise?
Gee, that’s a cute baby!”

Color me shocked, shocked to see that O’Rourke has discovered that mother gun grabs nor he CRT/Equity agenda are winning issues in TX.

Not openly anyway. I don’t believe he has actually changed his opinions. He is pretty bold in his belief that we all have goldfish memories.

Hopefully the people of Texas aren’t forgetful enough to let him reinvent himself because we all know what he actually thinks.

We don’t need racism, insidious, mislabeled, anymore. Diversity [dogma] (i.e. color judgment, class-based bigotry) breeds adversity. #HateLovesAbortion

This douchebag is, well, a douchebag.

Go, Puto!

Bobby Francis also came out the AR’s should be “bought back” as no-one needs them. He is flailing around throwing out anything and seeing if it works. Nothing will for that clown, he should go back to eating magic dirt and jumping on tables like a mountain goat

Bobby Odourke is a Communist who will say whatever it takes, next commie rat wastage.

O’Rourke reminds me of a chameleon; he changes positions to fit the background.

How do you know a politician is lying? Their lips are moving.

This guy, like so many, will lick anything for a vote. Worse are the idiots who believe him.

I wouldn’t believe anything Beto says. He changes his positions to suit the situation. He’s running for Governor so he’ll lie trying to convince voters he’s more conservative than he is.

You guys keep spelling his name wrong: It’s Beta. Pretty obvious, really.
