TSA Allowing Illegal Immigrants to Use Arrest Warrants as ID at Airport Security

The border crisis has reached new levels of absurdity. The Transportation Security Administration is now reportedly allowing arrest warrants from illegal immigrants as an acceptable form of ID.

When it comes to border security and immigration, it’s like we’re not even trying anymore.

Adam Shaw and Bill Melguin report at FOX News:

TSA confirms it lets illegal immigrants use arrest warrants as ID in airportsThe Transportation Security Administration confirmed to Fox News on Friday that it allows illegal immigrants to use arrest warrants as an alternative form of ID to board airplanes.”For non-citizens and non-U.S. nationals who do not otherwise have acceptable forms of ID for presentation at security checkpoints, TSA may also accept certain DHS-issued forms, including ICE Form I-200 (Warrant for Arrest of an Alien),” a TSA spokesperson told Fox News. That refers to a civil immigration arrest warrant, not a criminal arrest warrant. The agency added that the document will then be validated via an “alien identification number” being checked against a number of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) databases.”All passengers whose identity is verified through alternate procedures receive additional screening before being allowed into the secure area of the airport,” the statement said. While the policy has been in place pre-dating the Biden administration, Republicans are raising new concerns about it amid the ongoing crisis at the southern border.

Jennie Taer of the Daily Caller has more:

Responding to Republican Texas Rep. Lance Gooden’s Dec. 15 inquiry about illegal migrants flying across the country, TSA Administrator David Pekoske explained that certain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) documents may be considered acceptable forms of alternate identification for non-citizens, including a “Warrant for Arrest of Alien” and a “Warrant of Removal/Deportation.”“TSA’s response confirms the Biden Administration is knowingly putting our national security at risk,” Gooden told the DCNF. “Unknown and unvetted immigrants shouldn’t even be in the country, much less flying without proper identification.”“TSA is committed to ensuring that all travelers, regardless of immigration status, are pre-screened before they arrive to the airport, have their pre-screening status and identification verified at security checkpoints, and receive appropriate screening based on risk before entering the sterile area of the airport,” Pekoske wrote.

Here’s an obvious question:

Rep. Lance Gooden of Texas recently appeared on FOX News to discuss this:

As Trump has frequently pointed out, if we don’t have a border we don’t have a country.
