Chicago Imposes Harsh Consumer Vaccine Mandates: “if you have been living vaccine-free, your time is up”

Chicago Imposes Harsh Consumer Vaccine Mandates: “if you have been living vaccine-free, your time is up”

Mayor Lightfoot: “Beginning Jan. 3, you must show proof you are fully vax’d to enter bars, restaurants, fitness centers, and entertainment/recreational venues where food/drink are served.”

You know, every time I go home I want to move back. Chicago is home. It will always be home.

Then I come back to Oklahoma and remember freedom. Then Chicago officials do something asinine like these stupid mandates?

Mandates are stupid in general, but Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot seems to think COVID is on a different level. People ages five and up must provide vaccine proof at certain places along with photo ID. From The Chicago Tribune:

Lightfoot’s rules affect restaurants, bars, fast food establishments, coffee shops, tasting rooms, cafeterias, food courts, dining areas of grocery stores, breweries, wineries, distilleries, banquet halls, and hotel ballrooms, the city said.

It also includes gyms, yoga, Pilates, cycling, Barre and dance studios, hotel gyms, fitness boot camps, and other facilities, the city said.

Movie theaters, music and concert venues, live performance venues, adult entertainment venues, commercial event and party venues, sports arenas, performing arts theaters, bowling alleys, arcades, card rooms are also included in the order, the city said.

Not included are churches, airports and office buildings.

Businesses will not have to check individuals for proof of vaccination if they’re entering to order and carry out food, deliver goods, or use the bathroom.

So I guess COVID will only infect you at the dining parts of grocery stores and not the rest of the store. You are also safe from COVID in church, at the airport, at a store, and in an office building.

You also do not have to show your papers if you “enter a location to participate in a school or after-school activity.” Some artists and professional athletes have an exemption. Lightfoot respects religious exemptions IF you can provide a negative COVD test.

Um, lady, a virus doesn’t care if you’re in a place for only a few minutes or a famous athlete. A virus is gonna virus.

If you’re unvaccinated Lightfoot hates you. She is doing this on purpose so you fall into line and do her bidding!

But wait! It’s okay because Lightfoot’s holiday party is over, which sounded like a lot of fun. But I guess no one took precautions!

But we all know the truth because the vast majority of us plebes know that a lot of vaccinated people have the Rona.

“If you have been living vaccine-free your time is up”

A more appropriate admonition for her city would be “If you have been living free without working—your time is up. Get a job and earn a living.”

“We didn’t want to” is always a terrible lie from these zealots. You’ve BEEN doing it.

CPD, like the NYPD, will oblige the mayor in making ordinary people that have never committed a crime in their lives into criminals.

Im so HAPPY we left this past autumn!

So dangerous, she’s waiting another ten days?

For a city which is majority brown/black, good luck with the mandate. Those two skin tones are the least likely to take the shot.

“Some artists and professional athletes have an exemption….”
Wait a minute!
Some professional athletes? (It isn’t about health at all, is it?)

Don’t the NBA, NHL, and NFL mandate the shot?

Yes, and lots of teams are canceling games due to the high instances of WuFlu in their ranks.

According to a Pfizer study published in the New England Journal of Medicine on 15 December 2021, which was a 6 month vaccine safety follow-up, they claim their vaccine reduces the incidence of COVID by 91% and serious COVID by over 99%.

This is a large follow up of over over 43,000 people.

Interestingly, though, and they do not point this out, but the data is there which you must calculate for yourself, if you look at the incidence of severe vaccine adverse events, the rate is about 1.2% of the vaccine group. That’s a lot.

Even more, the incidence of severe COVID of the over 21,000 unvaccinated group was 0.14%.

Therefore, by Pfizer’s own data, you are almost 8.7 times more likely to have a severe adverse outcome by taking the vaccine then, than the unvaccinated have of a suffering a severe case of COVID.

Last thought for the night. The common cold is a coronavirus. The omicron strain of COVID is of course a corona virus. They symptoms of omicron are just like and no more severe than the common cold. How is omicron, then, any different than a common cold?

Why on earth would anyone freak out over omicron, and why would anyone suggest or want to take a vaccine that has an almost infinite greater chance of causing a severe adverse event that of suffering a severe case of omicron COVID?

Only a moron, or a deranged or evil person would make such a suggestion for such a course of action. The person who would force you to take this vaccine, then, is infinitely more stupid and evil.

healthguyfsu in reply to Brave Sir Robbin. | December 22, 2021 at 11:57 am

        A couple of corrections:

-The “common cold” is not a coronavirus per se. There are a cluster of symptoms known as a cold that can be caused by several strains of viruses. The most common cause in the US is rhinoviruses but adenoviruses and a couple of coronaviruses are also known to cause cold symptoms (COVID19 is also one of those, but in some people, it is worse…and no one disputes that)

-The JNJ vaccine (a traditional, non-mRNA vaccine) seems to cause the most reported adverse events in the way of cardiovascular complications and Guillan Barre sydnrome. The mRNA vaccines give an anaphylaxis rate of .0005%, a thrombosis rate that is nearly incalculable on the low side (.0000007%), and a myocarditis rate of .0002%). I’m not sure where you are getting your numbers from but they could be elevated by including the JNJ vaccine. (You can find the numbers for these on the CDC site which is the biggest aggregate data set even if it’s not quite up to date….smaller scale studies are prone to sampling error the way that COVID fatality rate was elevated at the beginning of its monitoring).

Last thing: By your analysis, anything with a greater chance of killing you than the malady itself should never be done. That would mean you would not take pain relievers for headaches or body aches because they undoubtedly present more risk of death or organ disease (liver, kidneys) than the minor ache itself. You’d also likely never take elective surgery.

“Lightfoot respects religious exemptions IF you can provide a negative COVD test.”

I have not thought about it, but if you take a Covid-test and test positive, your information is provided to the Public Health authorities. I kind of knew that VD was reported, and to hell with doctor-patient privilege, but I had not drawn the logical conclusion that they also report Covid status. One more wall of freedom has been knocked down.

Can the violation of medical privacy be a basis for an attack of “clean test” mandates?

What would happen if people across the city just decided to boycott those establishments that are covered by this asinine order and enforced it?

They’re okay requiring photo ID for this but not for voting, right?

“I tested this morning, I’m negative and I’m fully vaccinated plus a booster.”

Fauxcahontas and Broke-Back were fully vaccinated plus a booster, too, weren’t they?

That was my first thought – how far would the average Chicago resident have to travel to have a nice meal at a restaurant outside the city?

Idonttweet in reply to henrybowman. | December 21, 2021 at 11:30 pm

Yeah, and could the business community bring enough pressure to bear to put an end to this madness? You’d think they would have had enough by now.

      herm2416 in reply to henrybowman. | December 22, 2021 at 12:16 am

      Depending on direction….35-50 minutes.

artichoke in reply to henrybowman. | December 22, 2021 at 1:32 am

If you’re near the lake, and your idea of a meal isn’t diving into Lake Michigan to grab a fish, then quite a long way.

Don’t worry, they’ll make the small restaurants have vax mandates, but the big chains will somehow be exempted.

A personal ASCII message for the heavy-handed Lightfoot (copy & paste to Notepad to appreciate):

Jim Crow Laws are back!

Suggest they have everyone without a Fake Vax to wear a colored triangle at all times under penalty of arrest immediately.

The Friendly Grizzly in reply to Skip. | December 21, 2021 at 7:16 pm

I will wear a triangle of color so it won’t be racist.

Diversity, Inequity, and Exclusion: I have a dream that my four little [unPlanned] children of color will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by their character but by their skin.

        n.n in reply to n.n. | December 21, 2021 at 8:27 pm

Replace [unPlanned] with [Planned], one child excluded, another child undetermined, another cannibalized, and the fourth sequestered to mitigate climate change, with one left over.

The vindictive nature of the blue check elites towards the unvax as their policy preferences continue to fail is astounding. At some point the pendulum always swings the opposite way and the precedents the blue checks are setting will eventually bite them in the ass.

Antifundamentalist | December 21, 2021 at 7:09 pm

I’m still kind of fuzzy on why it not unconstitutional to buy products from non-government, businesses – I can justify car insurance because there’s no government mandate for me to own and drive a car, but when it comes to vaccines and health insurance….I didn’t choose to exist and should not have to pay some CEO to be allowed to walk down the street.

Subotai Bahadur | December 21, 2021 at 7:28 pm

Keep in mind that this is Chicago. No member of a currently “politically correct” group will be made to obey, coerced, or criticized in any way. If you are a supplier to any businesses inside Chicago, from outside Chicago, maybe at the very least there should be a COVID precautions surcharge. If you keep doing business there at all.

I don’t live in Illinois. I have visited Chicago only a couple of times, and passed through the airport a few times [none of the airport trips were in any way pleasant or efficient]. With the literal exception of one restaurant that I fear has not survived, the Chicago Art Institute [which since I last visited has made ethnic background the most important thing about being a docent], and one exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry there is no reason for me to ever enter Chicago or spend any money there. I hope I am not alone in feeling that.

Aside from “Ditka’s”, two stuffed lions from Tsavo and a submarine… I’m cool with the Windy City being gone with the wind.

If you mean Ditka’s restaurant, it closed for good last year.

Steven Brizel in reply to alaskabob. | December 22, 2021 at 7:37 am

Chicago is a wonderful city that is poorly run and crime ridden The vaccine lessens the severity of the pandemic and a decision to take it should be individually made in consultation with your doctor in consideration of your health and age and any other factors that militate in favor or against being. Vaccinated and not imposed as any kind of dictate

Substitute New York, Portland, San Francisco and/or Los Angeles in your initial sentence and it still rings true. Sad days for those in America’s cities.

Memo for Mayor Groot: Your excuse for a city is on track to exceed 900 homicides for the year. Here’s a clue: gang bangers don’t give a s**t about your mandates.

This reminds me of the infamous “Condom Wars” of a few decades ago. Administrators of crappy, drug and gang-infested public schools decided to divert attention from their massive (not to mention expensive) failures at education by providing birth control and abortion referrals to students. These administrators made sure to let the public know this would be done WITHOUT the parents’ knowledge, let alone consent.

It worked. Thousands of idiot parents fell for it. The result was that the schools remained – still are – crappy, drug and gang-infested hellholes incapable of providing even the most meager of education.

Now Lightfoot sees the Wuflu as a way of diverting the public’s attention away from the fact that Chicago is morphing into a combination of Venezuela and “Mad Max” – and she bears heavy responsibility for the deaths and pain of her serfs. History says the trick will work again, as the Marxist intelligentsia and the rich white suburban Kovid Karens go ga-ga over Moar Panic Pr0n, and inner city blacks have always been susceptible to the race card.

There is a reason she is doing this right now. What is the reason? She may not be very bright but this is not stupidity. It is calculated and the consequences are intended. Is it to start a civil war so the feds can attack the 2A? The excuse is stunningly vague – “…essential to protect the health of yourself, your friends, and your community.” Is Chicago the test case to see how far the tyrants can push the sheep?

COVID is over. Omicron has made it into another common cold. Stop pushing the poison.

Vax to vote, you’ll need positive ID for both the vax and the vote. We’ll add in positive ID for welfare and Medicade also as well as getting food stamps.

The mandate has nothing to do with health.

What if you have been looting vaccine-free?

They have a mandate concerning bars and restaurants in Clallam county. Some restraunts card patrons before they enter, others have posted a sign saying “when you come into our restaurant, you certify that you have been vaccinated”. My favorite restaurant, owned and run by family friends – that I’ve frequented for 25 years, is one of the carding types. I’m able to eat in their covered outdoor patio area – which in reality is half a dozen converted parking spaces. I won’t drop $80 on a meal for 2 to eat in the parking lot – even if it’s covered, and heated.

I’ve been writing the county board of health every few weeks with the latest articles on natural immunity, which I have as does my wife – with Labcorp results in hand to prove it. I ask them when they are going to end their policy of discrimination against the naturally immune. I’ve never heard from any of the 10 board members I’ve written.

I have also analyzed the publicly posted Covid data from the board and thanks to what I learned as an auditor, have identified several ways that the chicken-sh!t b’tards are stacking and cherry picking the data.

For example, of new infections the board claims 83% of the cases are among the unvaccinated, 17 vaccinated. It’s been changing slowly – toward the vaccinated about 1/2% per week. Now something like 81.5 / 18.5. The kicker is this – the data is footnoted saying it is cumulative dating back to February 1 when NO ONE WAS vaccinated yet. It would have escaped me except that one of the articles I came across in my audit was from CIDRAP wherein Biden claimed on August 6th that 50% of the country was now vaccinated. So I wonder what the vax/unvax ratio is in Clallam county since August 6th – when there is equal opportunity for the vaxxed and unvaxxed to come down with Covid?

Other data provided by the county is a rolling 14 day snapshot, why not the rate of vax/unvaxxed cases? Clearly it is meant to obscure the truth about the vaccines – the hint of which is in the slow change of rate even these last 5-6 weeks I’ve been monitoring it. I would not be surprised at all that the rate is 50/50 since August 6th, perhaps even more likely if the data set is just for the most recent 2 weeks.

I’m more than a little pissed off that our health commisioners are lying to us and stacking the data against the truth about vaccine efficacy.

Mary – I have a 2nd home in north central IL. It’s a red haven and not the least bit Chicago crazy. It’s nice to enter stores and restaurants without masks – servers wear them – but not the patrons. To be fair, it’s in a restaurant in Champaign that my wife and I got Covid last April. It delayed our trip back to WA by 10 days, but we were glad to get it over with.

My greatest fear between the boobs who govern WA and IL is that they’ll start to restrict grocery and drug stores – and that the boob in the white house will attempt to mandate vax for domestic air travel. It’s a long and but-numbing drive from the coast to Cornville. Worth it though to see the family.

Can I get a tetanus vaccine instead, Lori? It’s equally effective against omicron, plus it comes with milder side effects.

Hopefully, when the court finds the order enforceable it will have the caveat of not taking effect until the 55 years have elapsed and the Pfizer trials are released…

I just added Chicago to my list of places to never visit. Might have been unnecessary since it was on that list already.
