This is just another reason to avoid social media and more proof that the woke left was interested solely in the narrative at the expense of the facts-the basic definition of a show trial

I disagree, as obnoxious as it is to attempt reasoning with some of these fools they need to be debated and their opinions need challenged for the lunacy that they can be.

henrybowman in reply to Mozzie. | November 19, 2021 at 6:37 pm

Have we learn nothing from zombie movies?
You can’t debate the brain dead.
You behead them and move on.

“But Trayvon Martin deserved to die because he fought back against an aggressor with no weapon. This is the legacy of white supremacy in action.”
    ___________

Bwhahahaha. It’s more like the legacy of sleazy race-grifters like you continually lying about historical facts, Hannah-Jones.

The Trayvon Martin case had nothing to do with “white supremacy in action,” it was more like Darwinism in action. If a person is stupid enough to attack a stranger in the dark, they just may end up getting shot dead by somebody who decides he’s not willing to “just take the beating.” Trayvon Martin learned that lesson the hard way.

But hey Hannah-Jones, you’re a lying liar who got famous by making up fake historical “facts,” so we really don’t expect you to know any of the facts about the Trayvon Martin case. After all, you’ve never gotten any facts right before, so why start now?

I wrote a post, based on the information on this blog, summarising the witnesses in the GZ trial.

NOT ONE witness credibly provided ANY evidence to help the prosecution theory of murder. To this day, no one knows what that evidence was supposed to be.

AnAdultInDiapers in reply to Observer. | November 19, 2021 at 6:14 pm

Wasn’t Martin armed with several tons of tarmac when he died? Attempting to use it to cause harm to Zimmerman’s head?

        Concrete. Even worse.

The only injuries on Martin’s body, other than the bullet entry, was on his hands, from where he was punching Zimmerman. Not saying Zimmerman is an angle, he should have just stayed in the car. But once he was about to pass out, he had legitimate fear for his life or SBI.

Nanoushka in reply to Mike Thiac. | November 19, 2021 at 8:46 pm

Once he was about to pass out? No. Once he had fear for his life; arguably that could be before Martin slammed his head into the pavement the first time.

healthguyfsu in reply to Mike Thiac. | November 19, 2021 at 10:25 pm

Slight distinction…once a reasonable person would be in fear for their life. This is the reason Drejka was convicted…that and a terrible attorney.

DaveGinOly in reply to Steven Brizel. | November 19, 2021 at 4:33 pm

Yes, the comments are notable for their collective ignorance of the facts and misunderstanding of how the criminal justice system works. Someone actually said the verdict would be overturned on appeal! Can’t make this stuff up.

Twitter has been bombarding me with really lame pitches that I should post, what we see in the posts above is why I refuse , twitter is owned lock stock and barrel by racist morons.

Wise_Jedi in reply to Steven Brizel. | November 22, 2021 at 9:07 pm

The left, from what I’ve seen since the verdict was handed down, is so very depraved. Actually, we should pray that something in their lives would bring them to their knees as has never happened before in repentance toward God.

They can suck it.

I hope there are lawyers lining up for Kyle to choose from to sue the mass media for its slander.

Funny how we all like the idea of sue-happy lawyers right now. 😉

henrybowman in reply to GWB. | November 19, 2021 at 6:33 pm

“Lawyers don’t sue people. People sue people.”
Lawyers, like guns, and even violence (e.g., self-defense) are value-free. They can be used for good as well as evil.

Rich Rostrom in reply to henrybowman. | November 19, 2021 at 6:56 pm

Guns don’t look for innocent targets and solicit people to shoot them. Lawyers gin up garbage class-action suits and advertise for clients.

He may need a lot of money to file lawsuits. And the media may have no idea what’s coming.

And March for Life letter is very concerning.

The massive left meltdown is a troubling concern because imagine the radical left having more power than Pelosi and Schumer. First thing they will do is to get rid of the US Constitution.

      AnAdultInDiapers in reply to lurker9876. | November 19, 2021 at 6:16 pm

re: “He may need a lot of money to file lawsuits.” doesn’t he get back the $2m put up for bail? Where does that go?

Quite apart from all the fundraising since, and the money he’ll earn from media appearances, let alone the branding on a new AR-15.

      henrybowman in reply to lurker9876. | November 19, 2021 at 6:46 pm

March For Our Lives is another astroturf Bloomberg gun-control front organization. Just like their founder, they lie like they breathe. Of course they are livid about this — somebody successfully defended their life with an evil gun and wasn’t punished for surviving.

“We shouldn’t forget the very reason Kyle Rittenhouse was in Kenosha that day — because a young Black man, Jacob Blake, was shot by the police over a traffic stop.”

A young fugitive with warrants for sexual assault, in a stolen car, who pulled a knife on arresting officers.

What despicable, evil liars these people are.

Meanwhile, a Bloomberg-organization board Director shoots two people on a movie set, and he’s the victim.

TargaGTS in reply to kyrrat. | November 19, 2021 at 5:49 pm

As Andrew Branca and Ron Coleman both pointed out on this afternoon’s streamcast of the verdict, it’s almost impossible to prevail in these defamation cases that surround an slanderous/libelous statements about an accused murderer. Why? Because once indicted for murder, the vast majority of courts will label the defamed person a ‘public person.’

If you might remember, NBC CLEARLY doctored the 911 call (for broadcast) that was in evidence in the Trayvon Martin case, cutting the audio to make it appear that George Zimmerman was a racist. It was unimpeachable evidence of defamation. Zimmerman sued. That lawsuit did not survive the motion-to-dismiss because the judge found that Zimmerman was a ‘public person.’

In this country, it is incredibly difficult for a ‘public person’ to successfully bring defamation actions. I think that’s wrong, btw. The Founders has no intention of the First Amendment being this kind of shield in libelous/slanderous speech. One need not look any further than the story of Hamilton and Burr to appreciate how important people of that era took defamatory words and/or writing. It mean everything to them, in a very literal sense.

fogflyer in reply to TargaGTS. | November 19, 2021 at 6:12 pm

I think the reason Zimmerman’s lawsuit against NBC failed is because he was unlucky enough to get the same judge (Nelson) that he had in his criminal trial. I don’t think that a different judge would necessarily make the same decision that Kyle is a public figure.

henrybowman in reply to TargaGTS. | November 19, 2021 at 7:47 pm

Is this the legal definition of “public person,” or just the layman’s understanding of it?

It seems to me that “public person” should define someone who seeks public visibility voluntarily — someone who runs for office, takes a job as a news anchor, signs on with an NFL team, writes editorials for the MSM. In the gray areas, perhaps common bloggers, podcasters, and so on. But not people who are thrust into the public eye by the very people defaming them.

Reductio ad absurdum, any media outlet that slanders a criminal suspect or citizen activist can claim ironclad immunity by arguing that their very slander promoted the victim into public status.

Hundreds of people are indicted for homicide every month. We never hear of them. They did not become “public persons” by being indicted — only a certain few become public persons, and only when the media itself propels them into notoriety. If that media coverage is slander, then it should be actionable.

Now, I’m prepared to be told “the current law isn’t that reasonable,” but I think that begs explanation.

      OldCop876 in reply to TargaGTS. | November 20, 2021 at 4:32 pm

I followed that discussion between the attorneys, and the key point is not the “public person” issue. When a public figure is defamed, they simply bear a higher burden of proof that not only what was said about them was untrue, but that the untrue statement was made with malicious intent. A non-public figure need not prove malice. Malicious intent is very hard to prove.

The real issue in a Rittenhouse defamation suit is that he would have to show that a particular specific defendant had done him injury by defaming him. As one of the attorneys pointed out, once you have been charged with murder, you reputation has already been trashed, and you would have trouble showing that any one particular media outlet that reported on your case, even inaccurately, had done you any damage that was not already done by the charges themselves.

I know we all want to see some form of justice for Kyle, especially in financial terms, but this is simply not realistic based on lawsuits. That is the opinion of attorneys who specialize in defamation law. Attorneys who don’t actually practice seem to be more optimistic. It is possible that with a high profile attorney and lots of media coverage he might be able to force a settlement or two, but even this is doubtful.

fogflyer in reply to kyrrat. | November 19, 2021 at 6:07 pm

The problem is, any accusations the prosecution made in court or in their filings are free game to comment and report on. I haven’t seen much in the media that goes beyond the slander put out by the prosecution team, which of course is immune from lawsuits. Kyle may not actually have near as much to sue over as one would think.

AnAdultInDiapers in reply to fogflyer. | November 19, 2021 at 6:21 pm

      Being called a white supremacist?
Being accused of carrying a firearm across state lines?

Plus of course all the articles and broadcasts calling him a murderer, calling him a vigilante, claiming he wanted to kill people, all manner of false accusations that defamed him ahead of the trial. None of those things were reporting the prosecution, and all of them put in jeopardy his chances of a fair trial.

The US needs to crack down on its media and stop the unhinged lies regarding people awaiting and on trial. The First Amendment can be satisfied by letting them speak freely after the Sixth Amendment has run its course.

    Wise_Jedi in reply to kyrrat. | November 22, 2021 at 9:12 pm

Me too! By rights he should mop up a nice fortune. After I cleaned out MSNBC and the other “news” outlets for libel, I would go after Joe Biden and Jerry Nadler. Then when I cleaned out the bank accounts, I’d leave this country for Switzerland or any other libertarian country that has a nonextradition stance toward America.

When evidence, truth, an honest and impartial court, a jury of one’s peers, and a just verdict no longer matter, we are in a super-dark place; a very dangerous place. I wish they would have had Branca, yourself, and Rikeita as a defense team, Between you guys, you would have ripped Binger to absolute shreds and argued the judge into an immediate mistrial with prejudice.

I hope Kyle has some attorneys recording these (and the various ‘reporters’) for the upcoming (and justified!) slander lawsuits.

Looks like a few more cases to add to the lawsuits for slander/defamation! Lawyers should be lining up to take these cases. Those are clear cut FALSE STATEMENTS uttered by SOME who should know better. First suit should be against the turnip in the White House and then DeBlowHole! Slap the others with low to mid teen MILLION$! You can’t flat out call someone a murderer and be proven wrong by an incompetent and seemingly corrupt DA attorneys and a JURY of TWELVE! I hope to see Mr. Rittenhouse in the news a lot! I do fear for his safety since it would not be surprising to see one of the crazed leftist harm him so they could be the “martyr” of the left!

Hey, DiBlasio- if the criminals Huber and Rosenbaum had been in jail where they belonged- they’d be alive today. Living on taxpayer largesse.

When you assault someone you’re risking death. They gambled, they lost, and the world is better off without them.

when memes drive the news cycle this is the shit you get.

Leftists view reality through a funhouse mirror. What is scary is that these people have so much power.

    DaveGinOly in reply to myiq2xu. | November 19, 2021 at 5:06 pm

What’s scary is that people with actual authority don’t just ignore the woke lunatic fringe, which is nothing more than a very vocal, but very tiny, minority. Most Americans don’t buy their shit. The jury (which likely went into the trial with at least half believing Kyle guilty) demonstrates that mainstream Americans of any political persuasion are actually capable of dealing with facts (and recognize the absence of facts too, when their absence is critical).

What I would give to see Kyle go straight from the courtroom to the evidence room to retrieve his rifle and then proceed directly out through the front doors of the courthouse, fully armed, and walk straight through all those protesters.

The Friendly Grizzly in reply to cazinger. | November 19, 2021 at 3:31 pm

That’s if a) he want it back and, b) the court will release it.

Kyle needs to mind his P’s and Q’s from now on. He dodged a bullet. No going out and screwing with the opposition. He has done his part and paid his dues to last a lifetime. He should focus on getting a good education, maybe becoming a cop, or even become a lawyer if he has the talent. I like that kid. I’m still impressed with how he handled himself when faced with deadly force and was no doubt was feeling mortal terror throughout the entire ordeal.

DaveGinOly in reply to Rand. | November 19, 2021 at 5:09 pm

One of the lawyers on Rekieta’s livestream right after the verdict said he can arrange for Kyle to get a full-ride scholarship at a school in Texas. He said he knows people (alumni) who would pay for it.

fogflyer in reply to Rand. | November 19, 2021 at 6:16 pm

Kyle will never be able to be a cop now.

henrybowman in reply to fogflyer. | November 19, 2021 at 6:31 pm

The past year gave Kyle a better education on “the cop game” than the academy ever would have. I suspect if they offered him a position tomorrow, he’d wisely turn them down.

I saw a meme somewhere saying the judge should stand up and shout, “Hey kid!” as Rittenhouse was exiting, then says, “You forgot something,” and tosses him the rifle.

We won a battle; their comments show how far we are from winning the war.

Arminius in reply to VaGentleman. | November 19, 2021 at 6:38 pm

We need to recalibrate. As far as the left is concerned the war is never over. They may never suffer setbacks, but their goal has been, is now, and forever will be destroying the constitutional order and taking over.

    Plan accordingly.

So, what happens if the defendants in the Ahmaud Arbery case are *not* found not guilty?

More and more evidence for the slander case.

All the usual leftist/socialist screamers are flapping their lips.
NYT, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, CNN are just doubling down: calling him names, repeating the same lies about crossing a state line with an assault weapon to kill and maim.
Racist vigilante has to be in the lead line of course. We can not expect the insane Left to EVER come to their senses and think logically. The war is not won but this bit of injustice for Kyle is hopefully over.

Appparently a lot of Hollywood celebutards have hired the same publicist to manage their Twitter accounts.

Daughter-in-law, a paralegal, works in a law office in Cali. She is the ONLY ONE in the office who knew the victims were white – they ALL thought they were black! She has now been explaining the facts of the case to well-educated people who should know better.

    Well-credentialed people.
If they were well-educated they would have known better.

fogflyer in reply to GWB. | November 19, 2021 at 6:25 pm

Exactly, I had a lefty lawyer I know well come by yesterday. He was making fun of Kyle’s “fake” crying on the stand. I proceeded to destroy him in a debate about the case. He was just as misinformed on the facts of the case as these idiot Twitter posters.

Being uninformed is fine, but don’t go expressing strong opinions on the things you are uninformed about. I have been amazed at how many people are still willing to argue with me when they know so little about the case and also know that I have watched every minute of the trial. Oh well, it’s always fun exposing their ignorance in front of others.

“None are so blind as those who refuse to see.”

Many Progressives are willfully ignorant of anything that does not fit with their world view.
They don’t let reality get in the way. And the media fuels the delusions.

Free as Fuck Joe Biden*

Recently in a Southern state, maybe Virginia, a black man attempting to carjack an elderly white man’s truck, found the old man armed. The black jacker seized the old mans pistol and pumped 8 rounds into him, killing the white man on the spot. The black dude was arrested tried and aquitted. No one cried for the White grandfather. Had any one of the thugs assaulting Kyle R, on that night, surely would have killed the 17 year old, and there would not have been any prosecution. So much for White Privaledge.

This is just one of the reasons why I have basically zero social media presence. It’s an online loony bin.

But I do have to admit that on days like today I appreciate the fact that somebody is monitoring it so I can enjoy the condensed version of how the inmates are loosing their s***.

And just like that they forget Derek Chauvin ever existed

Good, good, let the butthurt flow.

God, this is encouraging when the justice system actually works (even though it could be better). And having all those ignorant woke leftist scum-bags shit their pants about it is an added bonus.

    20keto20 in reply to Rand. | November 19, 2021 at 4:22 pm

With lying, deceptive prosecutors like these two in Kenosha, I can understand why some people have a hard time believing the justice system is fair. Withholding evidence, lying in the courtroom, attempting to introduce misrepresentations even when the judge has ruled them inadmissable: all of these add up to corrupt prosecutors. We won’t even talk about charging Rittenhouse 2 days after the shooting without completed police investigations being conducted. By the grace of God, this trial ended the way the evidence pointed.

And the truly amazing thing? They did all that in front of cameras!
(You forgot the violation of Kyle’s 5th Amendment rights, btw.)

And somebody buy that judge a drink. He is a rare breed in this day and age.

And somebody buy Rittenhouse a lottery ticket.

Out of respect for Mary, and the good Professor I can’t say what is on my mind.. but, here is a clue,, to all those liberals… it starts with Go and ends with yourself…

In self defense, two white criminals are killed and one white criminal wounded and its “white supremacy”. I guess the three shot were “black while rioting”. The Left must support their street troops.

To the Left, anything that threatens their hegemony is “white supremacy”: self-defense, freedom of speech, objective journalism, meritocracy, even marriage.

By the look of these responses from the left, you would think that no white person ever gets convicted of murder or even goes to jail. Maybe they should subscribe to Netflix and check out Making a Murderer and Tiger King.

Very sobering to see the cast-in-concrete progressive reactions, which add up to an immense potential lynch mob right out of the movies – not a speck of evidence, just totally controlled by the media-dictated opinions and slogans of their ‘betters’.

Not one of them has bothered to watch the trial, nor seen the evidence.

Yes, it’s interesting they fling about the word “vigilante” as if it were an evil thing, while acting very much in accord with the lynch mobs they really mean and visualize when they say “vigilante”.

I bet Freud still gets excited every time the Progressives project this much.

At the very least, most of those Twatter commenters should be flagged for the misinformation that they are spreading. For those making threats, I hope someone will tell me that they have been suspended from Twatter. I gave it up a while ago when I realized that truth spoken there would receive condemnation and that the Socialist view was the ONLY view they wanted to see.
BTW, Joy Ann had difficulty with spelling in school I would bet. Parenthetically she wrote “Pro Democracy” when she is, in point of fact, more like “Pro Democratcy”!

So many leftist lies…so little time….

So ‘Ida B Well’s thinks that the three white guys were shot for defending ‘blackness’. That’s a pedophile, a burglar, and a white-beater.

You left out that the “blackness” she was actually referencing was a guy who was a fugitive from sexual assault and domestic abuse charges, who shrugged away from one arresting officer and pulled a claw knife on another, while in the process of stealing his battered baby-mama’s car for at least the second time.

Hey, I didn’t say that exemplified “blackness.” Ida Bae Wells did.

Twitter is a cesspool I’m delighted that I don’t swim in. It appears that there are multiple public figures starting with the Communist in NYC making false statements about Rittenhouse. Sue, baby Sue

Did anyone see that incredible video from PBS of three women of color saying there was not enough diversity on the jury? I know PBS is just CNN with a posh accent, but are they so out of touch with reality that they talk about lack of diversity while displaying a lack of diversity?

Let’s assume that Kyle is now considered a public figure. I wonder if continuing to trash him after being found not guilty amounts to meeting the “malice” standard required? It certainly appears intentionally malicious.

Hey evil shitheads

You already tried to put him in the deepest, darkest pits of Hell with your insane, fact-free rhetoric.

He trampled right across the border of hell to your free streets and mine and he’s here to stay.

And he is welcome to cross state lines into my once great state of VA any time he likes. If that causes more of you to shit yourself and leave this place, then all the better! He’s a hero and you are a joke. Go make another fake story about Jan 6th to your double digit audience that still cares what you have to say!

It would be nice if all the misinformed liberals were to direct some animosity to the prosecution for “botching such an easy open and shut case.”

I wonder how I might encourage that.

in defending himself kyle rittenhouse, despite vigorous attempts by a corrupt prosecution, a corrupt media and slanderous statements by corrupt public officials, preserved his own life and then had to endure a completely bogus media/courtroom circus–from everything i saw and read, he did so with a maturity and poise beyond his years–don’t think he yet realizes the tremendous service he has rendered his country

admire his character, his courage and his poise and thank him sincerely

I have to ask, wouldn’t more of them be dead if we on the Right were nothing but a bunch of gun toting vigilantes murdering those peacefully protesting social injustice and White privilege? I mean there have been plenty of opportunities for such, and yet the bodies have not piled up.
