AG Garland’s Daughter is Married to Co-Founder of Company That Sells Critical Race Theory Materials

The company, Panorama Ed, also has connections to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

AG Garland has weaponized the FBI and other DOJ departments against parents protesting against critical race theory in the schools.

Garland mentioned threats, harassment, and intimidation, but did not cite any examples.

Looks like Garland has a conflict of interest.

His daughter Rebecca married Xan Tanner, co-founder of Panorama, in 2018. The group Parents Defending Education (PDE) found out Panorama has multimillion-dollar contracts with school districts:

PDE previously flagged a $1.8 million contract for Panorama to conduct social and emotional learning (SEL) monitoring in Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS), resulting in data on students. Earlier in September, that number was bumped up to more than $2 million as part of a contract addition with Panorama.

Panorama’s contract was part of a broader, $78.8 million investment of coronavirus relief that FCPS directed towards a “welcoming” and “culturally responsive” environment for students. Its website explains that the funding is intended to “support equity professional development for school teams, and social-emotional staff to work directly with departments and school-based teams.”

A more detailed breakdown of FCPS’ plan showed the majority ($46.2 million) designated for “Intervention Special Education Teacher Contracts.” But it also showed $2.2 million going toward “Equity PD for School Teams” and $140,115 toward “Equity PD for Equity Leads” — both apparently referring to professional development for staff and faculty.

Panorama has an Equity and Inclusion Survey. Parents have fought against equity because it is similar to critical race theory by separating people into groups based on skin color:

By asking students, teachers, and staff to reflect on their experiences of equity and inclusion in school, education leaders can gather actionable data to understand and improve the racial and cultural climate on campus.

The Panorama Equity and Inclusion Survey exists as a series of scales, or groups of survey questions, that work together to measure a single construct, or topic (e.g., Belonging). We recommend that schools and districts select the topics that align with their strategic priorities or vision for equity.

In September 2021, Panorama announced it raised $60 million to expand its tentacles into more schools. The company received money from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, established and run by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan.

The press release said “50 of the largest 100 school districts and state agencies use its platform.” Overall, the company is connected to 1500 school districts.

I’d like to know if informed consent was given to parents and IRB approval were granted for these studies. Otherwise, the school districts could end up with even more lawsuits on their hands.

Hmm, notice he didn’t recuse himself over this obvious conflict of interest? Communists never do.

GARLAND MUST RESIGN OR BE REMOVED

He cannot claim ignorance of the law. He is a lawyer and was a judge.

He knew he had a clear CONFLICT OF INTEREST and yet he declined to RECUSE himself and failed to disclose the conflict. This reeks of the worst corruption by a government official in at least 20 years.

The Biden administration has such little credibility that they will lose any shred of what is left if they continue to allow this corrupt man to hold office.

EVERYONE MUST RESIST THIS CORRUPT MARXIST JUNTA. FIGHT FOR AMERICA.

FREE THE JAN 6 POLITICAL PRISIONERS.

STOP THE FALSE MEDIA NARRATIVE THAT THERE WAS AN “INSURRECTION” ON JAN 6.

    STOP THE WAR ON PARENTS.

Follow the money. Merrrick Garland is a dirty little grifter. 🤑💰💸

donewiththis in reply to EBL. | October 6, 2021 at 3:52 pm

Yep, the stink of grifter shit was so thick on him, that the marxists couldn’t get this PoS a senate confirmation to SCOTUS praise the Lord.

It will still be fun to watch.

Milhouse in reply to donewiththis. | October 6, 2021 at 4:51 pm

Yep, the stink of grifter shit was so thick on him, that the marxists couldn’t get this PoS a senate confirmation to SCOTUS praise the Lord.

That’s not true. He was not rejected because of any “stink” on him. He was rejected for only one reason: it was close enough to the 2016 election that it was reasonable for the senate to hold the seat open in the hope of a Republican president.

Had he been nominated half a year earlier the senate would have confirmed him without much hesitation. Except that he would never have been nominated half a year earlier. His judicial record was far too moderate for 0bama, and he only nominated him because McConnell had already announced that the senate would not consider any nomination. The purpose was to score political points, not to actually get him confirmed. Had the Republicans called 0bama’s bluff and proceeded with a confirmation, I think 0bama would have pulled the nomination.

So virtually all Society Club of the US shift left once confirmed .

Ben Kent in reply to Milhouse. | October 7, 2021 at 10:46 am

If Garland is who Dems consider “moderate” — God help us when they nominate the next justice.

        Pepsi_Freak in reply to Milhouse. | October 10, 2021 at 1:36 pm

Well, whatever the reason he wasn’t confirmed, we should be glad we dodged that bullet. We certainly don’t want a Supreme Court Justice whose sense of ethics and conflicts of interest is so weak that we have to wonder whether his votes are influenced by considerations other than the law.

Meh. Talking to a Democrat about conflict of interest is like talking to a fish about water.
“What’s water?”

10% For the other big guy?

It’s nice to know that there’s enough “Diversity and Inclusion (TM)” in the Dhimmi-crats’ “Critical Race Theory” race hustle for a few white folks to be included in this transparently subversive and self-enriching scheme.

E Howard Hunt | October 6, 2021 at 4:00 pm

Panorama for the children and a panopticon for the parents.

What data, exactly, are these school districts sharing with data mining companies? Would that data be subject to FOIA?

I’ll take “Conflicts of Interest” for $1000, Alex.

60 MILLION $ REASONS TO USE FBI AGAINST PARENTS

His immediate family benefits by weaponize the FBI against Parents. This stinks. This is awful.

If Trump used FBI to go against opponents of Ivanka’s business I wonder what the Regime Media reaction would be ? Well, no one has to wonder – we all know. There would be no end to the media and the investigations at all levels of government.

Hypocrisy. Self-Dealing. Corruption. Deceit. Incompetence
These are the things this administration will leave as their legacy.

ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOL BOARDS IS A RACIST ORGANIZATION

I just looked at https://.nsba.org – this is the National School Board Association.

The website and the organization materials are NON-STOP “equity” and racial division. They even have a piece that promotes sensitivity when grading tests of students of color. Racial preference / discrimination. Martin Luther King would be shocked.

No wonder the school board are so screwed up. They get fed all this bullshit from all these race-baiting organizations. It’s disgusting. And – how is this legal ? Why isn’t the FBI investigation this ?

I finally realize that there is systemic racism. It’s caused by the idiots who think they are fighting systemic racism by being racist.

The Friendly Grizzly in reply to Ben Kent. | October 7, 2021 at 7:30 am

One thing they will succeed in doing is make employers wary of hiring any colored people persons of color, due to those very “thenthitfithy”* in grading. “Is that black guy / gal qualified? Let’s make sure we get someone good by picking someone else.”

I have yet to see ANY colored people people of color protesting this race-norming. This makes it tough on those who ARE good enough, ARE squared away, ARE ones who keep their eyes on the prize.

      * My effort to transliterate the sound of some man-bun-and-scruff-beard beta male pronouncing “sensitivity”.

As usual, the Griz is right. They are institutionalizing the view that blacks are not smart enough or motivated enough to succeed in modern society. They are the biggest danger to the black community. But their heads are so far up their woke ass that they cannot even see how much they are hurting black people.

The Friendly Grizzly in reply to Ben Kent. | October 7, 2021 at 4:22 pm

But, notice no blacks are fighting this institutionalization. Instead, they sit back and take the short term advantage.

The Friendly Grizzly | October 6, 2021 at 4:52 pm

I’m shocked. Shocked.

No surprise here. Not only are Communist Party officials corrupt to the bone, they openly flaunt their corruption since no one can stop them (see the Soviet Union, Red China, etc).

Thank, Mitch. It is an indescribable comfort that you and your fellow Franz von Papen Republicans rubber-stamped this fine, upstanding public servant. We proles may end up rotting away in the gulags, or starving to death in the coming famine, or lying in a pool of our own blood and vomit while being “questioned”, or be lined up against the wall and have our bodies filled with bullets, but at least no more mean Tweets – and that is the only thing that really matters, amiright?!

Grizzly wasn’t really shocked. He was quoting Claude Rains in “Casablanca” upon hearing that gambling was going on in Rick’s Cafe American night club, just before being handed his cut of the winnings. A classic line in a great classic anti-fascist movie.

Notice how clever the keywords are that this company uses to define its mission: Systemic Social-Emotional-Learning. Don’t ask the obvious question, “..who writes like this?”

This type of writing is called a soft sell in marketing terms, but know that the words are carefully chosen because they align with the Democrat party’s agenda. This is more about the capitalization by the elite of the full indoctrination of society of CRT and the management of effectiveness by measuring, supporting, and with full reporting of student and adult SEL.

This is how the progressive elite in Washington, DC roll. Just like we see with the unjust enrichment of Hunter Biden, Merrick Garland is helping his son-in-law start a company at age 28 by raising $60 million in venture capital. Apparently, with help from Zuckerberg’s wife, no less.

Just look at how far the progressives have managed to come, the reach of implementation, and in this example, the use of federal (Department of Education) and political (Garland) influence to make sure their children have, as Joe likes to say, “good-paying” jobs to start their young married lives together. How thoughtful of the bride’s father to use the Department of Education initiatives to help the young couple get on their feet. Isn’t it interesting how much progress and how fast the Democrats get things done since the death of George Floyd? Can you see why the Democrats made sure the Floyd family got paid ($27 million) fast and out of the way because this was coming down the path? The Democrats do not care about the education and welfare of African Americans: they use black Americans to get themselves rich.

We need to ask how much is Merrick Garland’s kickback from this start-up company. Could it be the standard 10%?

Watch what happens here, longer-term: Xan and Rebecca get super-rich when Panorama Learning is sold to a larger company because the buyer wants in on the gravy train: the long-term contracts Panorama has established with school districts across the country. You can bet old Merrick will get his “fair share.”

Without critical, legal intervention, Congressional investigations, and conflict of interest lawsuits putting an end to this, the rollout of CRT is never going to go away.

With the left it’s always about money. And CRT and it’s numerous variations and relatives is one of the biggest scams they have going right now.

Real American | October 6, 2021 at 5:09 pm

They do surveys that all show how racist everyone is and, lo and behold, School Districts need to pay for more Diversity, Inclusion and Equity consultants to “fix” the problem. It’s a total scam.

Ben Kent in reply to Real American. | October 6, 2021 at 6:05 pm

    SYSTEMIC GRAFT

When you ask kids questions in a certain way – you can almost be certain they will answer the way you want. Kids don’t have the reasoning skills to push-back on a skewed survey.

The morons who run the public schools fall for this because they are in bed with the Marxist Teacher’s Unions. They just look for confirmatory evidence to push their CRT bullshit down the throats of 12 year olds.

    This is evil..

The Friendly Grizzly in reply to Ben Kent. | October 7, 2021 at 8:00 am

      .

The morons who run the public schools …

I don’t think they are morons at all. They know exactly what they are doing.

Our nomenklatura take care of themselves. Nice work if you can get it, make up a bunch of stuff, sell it to government schools paying with tax dollars, and indoctrinate kids at the same time. Get rich and destroy our country and culture at the same time. I wonder what Panorama’s profit margin is on these multi-million dollar contracts. Is it a “greedy corporation” as AOC might say?

Garland is a rat but a conflict of interest isn’t bad except in the modern memes.

Colelridge wrote (he wrote op-eds for a couple decades after 1800) that a conflict of interest is the pulley on which good character is hoist into public view.

That seems doubtful in the case of Garland but who knows.

Ben Kent in reply to rhhardin. | October 7, 2021 at 9:19 am

He had a clear conflict. He failed to disclose the conflict let alone recuse himself.
rh – “who knows” is a cop-out. It seems you are willing to give a pass to Garland’s behavior.
    Perhaps you misspoke.

    >> We all know corruption when we see it.

Garland, the snake, I believe would have attacked parents with tons of legal paperwork with the goal of financially destroying these people who could not afford expensive legal representation. This would have put the fear of being financially destroyed into all the other parents and stopping the grass roots parents revolution. But the revelation of this conflict of interest is so stunning and wrong that Garland must resign. Period.

    What an evil bastard.

But he is representative fo the entire Biden administration. ALL of them. And MOST of the GOPe. And ALL of our schools. And most ALL of our out media.

    What’s left? Just us.

The corruption is everywhere, with sh-t flowing from the very top to the very bottom.

A nation so corrupted as ours cannot survive. But before its fall, the most unimaginable evil will pervade our nation.

Secession now, or war later.

You’re all rabid diversitists (e.g. racists). Take a knee, beg, indulgences will be debited from your account. Have a nice day.

The Friendly Grizzly | October 7, 2021 at 7:07 am

I am sure there will be GOP members of both houses of congress who will harrumph and well-I-never and bluster about this, and then not do a single solitary thing.

So I work as a school psychologist for Hillsborough County Public Schools , Tampa FL—- which just dropped its mask mandate yesterday to no TV coverage whatsoever ( versus wall to wall coverage when they passed it in defiance of the governors executive order ) . We have Panorama which came out of nowhere last school year we suddenly meaning myself abs my colleagues in student super services give these surveys on equity to elementary school kids. We now have all this “data” on individual students and I have no idea what we are supposed to do with any of it. I know I’m supposed to look at it and give “feedback” to admin but , about what ? The training attached to panorama was called implicit bias training but I never took it . So you judge for yourself what all this is about ? I know we are school district in financial collapse yet we spent who knows how much money on this useless program for what ?

Ben Kent in reply to schmuul. | October 7, 2021 at 9:29 am

“Implicit Bias” training is code for think about everything in terms of race.

They did the same in New York City. All teachers had to take it..

The result — white parents pulling their kids out of public schools by the 1,000s because they cannot get these woke administrators to stop hating on the white kids and treating the black kids like they have no hope and must be coddled and cared for.

The NYC school administrators have withheld the data because it is so bad.
    https://nypost.com/2021/10/06/teachers-union-chief-says-nyc-hiding-student-attendance/

There is a general belief now that a black A is equivalent to a white B or C. How does that help anyone ?

Steven Brizel | October 8, 2021 at 2:21 pm

Attorneys are supposed to avoid conflicts of interest and anything that appears like a conflict of interest.
