Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke Plans To Skateboard Into The Texas Governor’s Mansion

There are few politicians on either side of the aisle for whom I have more disdain than lily white Irish-American former-Rep. Robert Francis O’Rourke.

His nickname has long been “Beto,” but I’m not sure the legacy media understands that he is not even 1/1024 Hispanic or Latino (archive link).  Or that they would care if they did know, which is odd given how much race purportedly matters to them.

Robert Francis O’Rourke skateboarded and grandstanded his way to a failed bid to unseat Sen. Ted Cruz. Failing to become a U.S. Senator, the unaccomplished, inexperienced, completely unfit to run even a lemonade stand, O’Rourke set his sights on the White House. This is a guy who can barely tie his own shoe laces without adult supervision.  Surreal.

That ill-conceived run was permanently derailed when he declared, “Hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15.”  Gun-grabbers, “unexpectedly,” don’t fare well in Texas or across the fruited plain.  Go figure.

Undaunted, the contemptible Robert Francis O’Rourke is apparently going to challenge Texas governor Greg Abbott in 2022.

Stop laughing.

Axios broke the story, but I loathe and despise their disjointed presentation that depends on low-information and intellectually-challenged readers, so let’s go to Fox News for the story.

Former U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke, a Democrat, is reportedly preparing a bid to challenge Republican Gov. Greg Abbott in the Texas gubernatorial race next November.O’Rourke is expected to formally announce his 2022 gubernatorial bid in Texas later this year, Axios reported Sunday, citing Texas political operatives.. . . . O’Rourke, a former three-term congressman from El Paso, lost his U.S. Senate bid against Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, in 2018 despite raising a record-breaking $80 million in the race that gained national attention. He later failed in his bid for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination. The former congressman is apparently hoping to restart his political career in a state politically divided by hot-button issues like abortion, immigration and COVID-19.”We hope that he’s going to run,” Gilberto Hinojosa, the state chair of the Democratic Party, told Axios. “We think he’ll be our strongest candidate. We think he can beat Abbott, because he’s vulnerable.”

All eyes on Texas.
