Republican Governors From 26 States Demand Meeting With Biden Over Border Crisis

“The negative impacts of an unenforced border policy on the American people can no longer be ignored.”

When you look at the border now, particularly the situation in Del Rio, Texas, the word crisis doesn’t even do it justice. What was once an immigration crisis is now a full blown humanitarian disaster.

Biden and Harris are completely missing in action, and Democrats who shrieked about ‘kids in cages’ under Trump are curiously silent.

Now a group of 26 Republican governors are demanding a meeting with Biden. They want answers and a plan of action. So do millions of Americans.

Jessica Chasmar reports at FOX News:

26 governors demand Biden meeting over border crisis

More than two dozen Republican governors are demanding a meeting with President Biden to address securing America’s borders, saying the illegal immigration surge under the current administration has created an “international humanitarian crisis.”

A letter released Monday signed by 26 Republican governors, including Doug Ducey of Arizona, Ron DeSantis of Florida, and Greg Abbott of Texas, asks Biden to schedule a meeting at the White House within the next 15 days so they can have an “open and constructive dialogue regarding border enforcement on behalf of U.S. citizens in our states and all those hoping to become U.S. citizens.”

The governors said border apprehensions are up almost 500% compared to last year, and that approximately 9,700 illegal apprehensions have prior criminal convictions. They said more fentanyl has been seized this fiscal year than the last three years combined and that cartels and human traffickers are making millions by smuggling people and drugs across the border.

Here’s an excerpt from the letter:

Dear Mr. President,

As chief executives of our states, we request a meeting with you at The White House to bring an end to the national security crisis created by eight months of unenforced borders. The months-long surge in illegal crossings has instigated an international humanitarian crisis, spurred a spike in international criminal activity, and opened the floodgates to human traffickers and drug smugglers endangering public health and safety in our states. A crisis that began at our southern border now extends beyond to every state and requires immediate action before the situation worsens.

The negative impacts of an unenforced border policy on the American people can no longer be ignored. Border apprehensions are up almost 500% compared to last year, totaling more than 1.3 million—more people than the populations of nine U.S. states. Approximately 9,700 illegal apprehensions have prior criminal convictions. Cartels and traffickers are making $14 million a day moving people illegally across the border. More fentanyl has been seized this fiscal year than the last three years combined—almost 10,500 pounds of fentanyl when only 2 milligrams prove fatal. This is enough to kill seven times the U.S. population.

The crisis at our Southern border, the loss of billions of dollars of our weapons to the Taliban, the abandonment of our citizens in Afghanistan, the loss of the lives of our troops are NOT due to Joe Biden’s incompetence but rather to his willful incorporation of them in order to damage our country.
Joe Biden needs to be arrested and tried for treason.

    Ah, but that’s not true.
Another letter has been received by the White House, supporting Biden’s immigration policies, that was signed by governors of 43 other states, and the chairman of Dominion Systems.

No way will Biden’s handlers allow any unscripted meeting to happen, that would be too risky because brain dead Biden might accidentally expose the Marxist agenda of this illegitimate criminal regime.

What should this future township be called?

Squalid Acres.

In the spirit of Hooverville, (not Hooterville, please), clearly it should be referred to henceforth as Bidenville.

“The term was coined by Charles Michelson, publicity chief of the Democratic National Committee…”

    Back atcha, commies.

Governing is hard. Lot’s of comprise involved, sometimes with nominal political opponents with whom one has a temporary or transitory alignment of interest on a single issue. Unfortunately the Biden Admin is trying to govern as if the d/progressive had more than a four vote majority in the HoR and a split Senate. They have repeatedly made unforced errors and burned attempts at comprise.

Now they are going to pay the price in the form of Red State Gov making a public stink about the many costs of an open borders agenda which are borne by the State and local governments; crime, drugs, general drain on LEO resources, drain on local services, increased costs for local schools, drain on healthcare services and decreased availability for current Citizens and residents.

Shipping these folks to some rural area and dropping them off is crazy. These communities don’t have the needed slack in their systems that the economy of scale in a large metro area has. They literally don’t have the ability to care for these folks.

Republican governors from 26 states demanding to see the pRESIDENT???

For what? Oatmeal and ice cream?

The Republican Party is akin to erectile dysfunction. A flaccid representation of it’s former not to Grand self.

They sat on their thumbs as the Marxist Party pulled a soft coup, and now they think the puppet is capable of doing anything?

What a Farking joke.

As a life long Republican voter, I plan to sit out 2022 and 2024. The Republican Party has no will to be American. They are the limo form of Democrats who will fight, lie, and cheat to win.

Republicans and Conservatives? Meh!

As long as there are no mean tweets and we lose the country by taking the high ground, Republicans and Conservatives are OK with it.

The federal government has many powers but few specific obligations. However, one of them applies:

“The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.”

Whether or not you consider mass illegal immigration an invasion, the drug cartel members hiding among them and keeping many of them in debt peonage ARE an invasion. A criminal organization which threatens law enforcement and their families is a rival government.

No big deal. Just refuse to take Biden’s un-vaccinated, no medical or Police cleared illegal invaders in their states. Forward them on to Biden’s state border or Washington, pick one!
