Media Setting the Table to Question Outcome of California Recall if Larry Elder Wins

“A group of election security experts on Thursday called for a rigorous audit of the upcoming recall election for California’s governor after copies of systems used to run elections across the country were released publicly.”

After the 2016 election, the left spent four years casting doubt on the outcome in order to make Trump’s win look illegitimate. After the 2020 election, the left’s allies in social media made it a thought crime to question Biden’s win.

In the California recall election, the media is already setting up a narrative to question the outcome in case Larry Elder wins.

From the Associated Press:

Experts call for rigorous audit to protect California recall

A group of election security experts on Thursday called for a rigorous audit of the upcoming recall election for California’s governor after copies of systems used to run elections across the country were released publicly.

Their letter sent to the secretary of state’s office urges the state to conduct a type of post-election audit that can help detect malicious attempts to interfere.

The statewide recall targeting Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom, set for Sept. 14, is the first election since copies of Dominion Voting Systems’ election management system were distributed last month at an event organized by MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, an ally of former President Donald Trump who has made unsubstantiated claims about last year’s election. Election offices across 30 states use the Dominion system, including 40 counties in California.

Election security experts have said the breaches, from a county in Colorado and another in Michigan, pose a heightened risk to elections because the system is used for a number of administrative functions — from designing ballots and configuring voting machines to tallying results. In the letter, the experts said they do not have evidence that anyone plans to attempt a hack of the systems used in California and are not casting blame on Dominion.

“However, it is critical to recognize that the release of the Dominion software into the wild has increased the risk to the security of California elections to the point that emergency action is warranted,” the experts wrote in their letter, which was shared with The Associated Press.

The left is absolutely terrified of Elder because he could actually win this thing, which would be like a political nuclear bomb. It would also have an effect on national politics.

The Hill reports:

Elder pledges to replace Feinstein with Republican if he wins California recall election

California gubernatorial candidate Larry Elder (R) on Friday pledged to replace Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) with a Republican if he wins the Golden State’s recall election.

“They’re afraid I’m going to replace her with a Republican, which I most certainly would do and that would be an earthquake in Washington, D.C.,” Elder said on the “Mark Levin Show.”

The conservative radio host claims Feinstein has not been seen in “weeks” and is in “an even worst mental condition than Joe Biden.”

Feinstein, 88, said earlier this year she does not plan to step down from her seat and wants to finish her current term, which ends in 2025.

If Elder wins, it will provoke a reaction from the left not seen since Trump won in 2016.

I thought it was beyond the pale to question elections after 2000 and 2016.

Has anybody seen any objective, detailed analysis of the Dominion code that Lindell “released?’ I haven’t seen much… a big tech censorship blockade seems to be in full effect on this topic.

That, or Lindell is blowing smoke up everyone’s skirts. I know I have committed blasphemy, but there it is…

Kind of, the voting software is analysed for compliance as per state rules. So the specific software is analysed by every state as part of the procurement and licensing process. You can read some of the compliance literature just by googling it. I’m pretty sure both Texas and California have publicly available reports on their view on the software.

The issue which is not really delved into or understood by the author is that anyone can now spend as much time as they want risk free probing the software looking for holes in it. That’s pretty much an invitation to find something wrong. Prior any hacker would have to penetrate test onsite. That is to say a hacker would have to blindly attack the system software in the particular building in use with the software since it’s not connected to the internet. Now they can have a hack ready to go in advance so only access is the consideration. Those two scenarios are worlds apart from a security point of view.

My belief begins with released by who? The media has burned their credibility to even the cellar can’t be saved level. Even if someone who had the information had the backbone to make it public, I would be more than surprised if the media did their job and published that information.

No disrespect to Lindell, but for the information to travel outside the network, he set up was to what I referred

If Dominion doesn’t rely on “security through obscurity,” there should be no problem with releasing their source code. (An intellectual property problem, of course, but not a security problem.)

If there is a security problem with the source code, it wasn’t caused by its release, it was disclosed. Prior to its release, the security problem still ezisted — but only “the right people” knew how to diddle it.

Which is, frankly what we’ve been claiming for a year.

I don’t think their claims are going work they way they think. You can’t have it both ways. Either the Dominion machines are connected to the Internet or they aren’t. Which is it? How are “hackers” going to compromise the machines if they aren’t connected to the Internet? Doesn’t matter how much source code is published, changing any of it would require the hacker to physically access the machine. So do we have secure elections or not? This charge for audits before the election starts only brings in to question everything they’ve said about the security of elections in 2016, 2018, 2020.

The Friendly Grizzly | September 5, 2021 at 10:57 am

It looks like they will do anything and tell any lie they can to keep that uppity boy in his place.

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, an ally of former President Donald Trump who has made unsubstantiated claims about last year’s election.

Notice the wording on this, they were not talking about Lindell

Leftists: Party uber alles.

Alinsky: By any means necessary.

Translation: This election will be hacked.

Republicans are no better. How else to explain Romney, Collins, McConnell…

Oh, it’s easier. The GOPe “fixes” these on the state level. You want a real conservative instead of McCain? Tough — the McCain machine nominates a separate-but-equal conservative (like Joe Arpaio, whose giant ego can never resist running for anything), and splits the conservative vote, McCain wins the primary, so he’s all you ever get to vote for… or a Democrat.

That is how Murkowski did it in Alaska back when

There’s good news about the McCain machine: it’s dead and buried.

Besides: who thinks McCain was smart enough to form a ‘machine’?

          henrybowman in reply to TheFineReport.com. | September 5, 2021 at 5:24 pm

Do you live here in Arizona? Because your claim is far from the case.

The McCain machine nominated Tepid McSally for Flake’s seat; she lost to Sinema. When McCain died, Ducey gave McSally his seat as a consolation prize; which she promptly lost to gun-grabber Mark Kelly.

Two Republicans in the US Senate to two Democrats in the US Senate in the space of two years, thanks to the McCain machine. Ask Kelli Ward how dead it is.

Which is why I find what Trump is doing, of selecting one candidate to endorse in the primaries so intriguing, so the GOPe tactic of splitting the vote fails.

Subotai Bahadur in reply to LB1901. | September 5, 2021 at 3:32 pm

HAS been hacked probably. Would not be surprised if the vote totals broken down by precinct are already in the Secretary of State’s office ready for release.

    Subotai Bahadur

So if Larry Wiins it’s a twofer? Even better then.
Really pulling for him way over here but still we have yet to see the vote fraud defeated since they are on a roll.

The Dimocrats need to be careful. Either _ALL_ elections should be secure or _NONE_ should be. This can bite them in the butt if they agitate for tight security this time but not-so-tight security any other times.

Pass the popcorn. This could be fun to watch.
.

Audit the recall…..with both parties in witness. Do it after you do the recent election of sloe joe and tha hoe.

Newsweak is already calling it for Governor Dippity Do by 20 points, according to their polls

Now they want the winner to have over 50% and that is not what the law says

Lucifer Morningstar | September 5, 2021 at 3:34 pm

. . . the experts said they do not have evidence that anyone plans to attempt a hack of the systems used in California and are not casting blame on Dominion.

Guess Dominion’s billion dollar lawsuit spree has worked as intended. Now even computer security experts are careful to make sure not to put any blame whatsoever on Dominion or their election systems.

Subotai Bahadur | September 5, 2021 at 3:51 pm

OK:
1) we have video of people stealing ballots from apartment mailboxes, and neither apprehension nor efforts to stop it.
2) we have caught at least on passed out druggie with hundreds of ballots that were stolen.
3) anyone in [or I assume out if properly disguised] of the state can print their own ballots on their computer with no confirmation of ID or voter status.
4) there apparently is no security on dropping anything in ballot boxes.
5) it is a Democrat controlled Soviet State. The government and the media are their creatures and will do as told regardless of any laws or Constitution.
6) this media campaign is basically a threat to anyone who objects to Newsom’s victory in the election that they themselves will be targeted.

And they sending out ballots to people that moved out of state 7 years ago.

    And ballot harvesting is legal.

And they can “receive” ballots until I think the 29th. Voting is on the 14th.

And the state GOP is MIA, and headed by an anti Trumper. Ballot Initiative to clean up voting? No, we can’t do anything like that. That would interrupt our Failure Theater and might upset the Democrats with their super majority…

And Newson is getting massive infusions of campaign cash. Soros just gave a million.

I hope Newsom Loses, and I am voting against him, but I am worried fraud will keep him in power. I find it VERY telling the preemptive fraud accusation, so may be Newsom will lose.

Larry Elder can only win with lots and lots of poll watchers. Newsome needs Auntie Nanny to get behind the cheaters and come to Californicate in massive numbers!

AP: it’s different when WE question the outcome of an election!

At any rate, as soon as AP can produce evidence of illegal last-moment changes to voting laws mandated by Communist judges, massive discrepancies between number of ballots mailed out and ballots received, mismatching vote totals, forced expulsion of poll watchers, thousands of photocopied ballots that were “harvested”, the refusal of Communist election officials to turn over voting equipment for a forensic audit, mysterious dead of night shutdown of vote counting, and massive censorship by Big Tech and targeting of election critics as “domestic terrorists” by Federal law enforcement (all things that happened in 2020 and 2021) then I will listen. Not before.

He’s not going to win, the left has all the ballots made out already

Just left California – the big fix is in – Gavin wins – he is appointed to Di Fi’s Senate Seat which he will hold for the next 6 terms. Gavin’s ex-girlfriend VP Kammy is appointed Governor.

The Dems are rid of her and can find someone who has a chance in 2024.

That dog won’t hunt since the communists control everything in Kommifornia.

We need to adopt a federal death penalty for election fraud.

Don’t sweat it, the fraud machine is running full steam ahead and Elders doesn’t have a chance.
