Education Dept. Launches Investigation Into Florida’s School Mask Mandate Ban

You know, you can wear a mask if you want to. He’s not saying you cannot wear masks.

There it is!

Do you know how much Biden’s administration hates Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis? I thought they already opened an investigation into the school mask mandate ban!

I am SHOCKED it took this long:

The investigation will focus on whether the state’s mask orders violate federal civil rights laws that protect students with disabilities, the U.S. Department of Education’s civil rights head wrote to Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran on Friday.

A week and a half ago, the department said it had opened investigations in five other states over the same issue but Florida was not in the group because court orders had blocked the state from enforcing the state’s prohibition on universal mask mandates in schools.

Hours after a Tallahassee-based appeals court ruled the state could continue enforcing its mask orders while a legal challenge continues, the department’s Office of Civil Rights informed Corcoran that it had launched a probe into the matter.

Parents of students with disabilities have already sued Gov. Ron DeSantis, Corcoran and the Florida Department of Education in Miami federal court, contending that DeSantis’ executive order prohibiting school districts from mandating students wear masks puts their children at risk in schools amid the coronavirus pandemic and violates the federal Americans with Disabilities Act.

You can wear a mask if you want to.

At the beginning of the pandemic, I asked people to wear masks around me. They don’t have to. My compromised immune system shouldn’t trump someone else’s choice not to wear a mask.

Social distancing works better. Two people in my household had the flu a few years ago. The others did not get it.

Do you know why? They stayed away from the sick people.

Don’t mess with DeSantis.

Will Florida officials toss the Drptcof Ed people out on their butts?

Antisci joins forces with Antifa to deny physics, biology, science, and choice.

The only protection for anyone who wants… needs to wear a mask and won’t…. cannot, is the same solution that would have prevented excess deaths at planned parent/hood facilities and practices in Democrat districts: isolation, hygiene, and nutrition. Observe symptoms at the door, and dispense with the misleading sense of safety attributed to masks, as well as “vaccines” (i.e. non-sterilizing, high dysfunctional antibody titers).

Well that should be fun. Considering that 25%+ of infected are fully vax how will the schools identify who is infected?
Unless they test everyone daily and have results in hand before any student gets on a bus or any student, teacher, administrator or support staff enter the building …..

By the way if protection of students is the priority then every member of the teachers union will be vax correct? Have fun with making these arguments Dept of Ed and don’t forget to bring the checkbook to pay the legal costs for the State of Florida.

And among the vaccinated, who have sterilizing immunity, that prevents transmission. Better to keep the vaccinated away from the vulnerable, and recruit previously infected to care for them. No masks. No vaccines. Just immunity and affirmative safety. That, or check for symptoms at the door, and exclude symptom suppressed fully vaccinated people… persons.

It’s instructive to watch how Democrat tyrants consistently bring every single gun on the ship of state to bear on one of their enemies.
When is “our” Republican Party going to learn how to do the exact same thing against our enemies when they are in power?
Instead of playing f*g golf all day.

And yet when it comes to bringing guns to bear on America’s enemies – the Taliban etc, Democrats want to disengage as swiftly as possible whilst expressing their gratitude towards them.

With friends like that America can’t afford enemies.

F-K Joe biden

Biden has a vaccine mandate and Florida has a mask mandate. The difference between the two mandates is the media took them to the spin zone and spun the shit out of them.

Spun them, obviously, in different directions.

As a Florida resident and a father of a 17 year old in HS, we told him no mask. If the skewl district (Volusia) pushes, we will push back. Most people will comply and be bullied and cower but not us. Talk is cheap with many Conservative now time to grow a pair. Oh, yeah Fuck Joe Biden.

they need to look at the mask mandate as it relates to kids with breathing issues, like astmatics, the schools issuing the mandates need to sued by parent of kids with breathing problems that need inhaliers

The masks offer leaky source control, even when following strict protocol. If Bidencares to share risk, then they need to provide full respirators to vulnerable populations. That is the only way to care for them and assure their safety, aside from sharing a space with naturally immune individuals, or isolating them until all the respiratory pathogens are extinct…. nevermore.

Another problem is animal reservoirs. They need to be masked or burned at the stake, perhaps aborted at a conveniently located Planned Parent/hood clinic.

So, if Bidencares, he will provide full respirators to vulnerable populations. After leaving billions of dollars in state of the art military hardware as a house warming gift to the Taliban, he should have no problem spending millions to provide respirators to Minority-American and other Underserved-American at-risk populations.

So focused isolation, contact with naturally immune people…. persons, or full respirators, perhaps a bubble, for everyone else.

A Florida appeals court ruled that Governor DeSantis’ pro-choice school mask policy will be reinstated, and put a stay against a previous activist judge who attempted to block the executive order.

This is a freedom win for parents in Florida who will now have the option of having their kids wear masks or not depending on their individual choice.

The Biden Administration is still grasping at straws under color of law to push its COVID policies. If the courts slap them down, I expect them to transition to a purely administrative tyranny at some point. All the mechanics exist for a purely administrative tyranny that totally bypasses the courts. Let’s say they want to enforce a nationwide mask mandate. A Federal officer writes a violator a citation and the IRS immediately uses the ACH system to directly debit the violator’s bank or credit accounts for the amount of the fine. Nothing ever sees a court, and if a court issues an injunction, Biden simply orders US marshals not to enforce it. The judicial branch becomes completely irrelevant. The key is the existing system that allows bank accounts to be directly debited at will, and the fact that all Democrats in Congress will back up the President and refuse to impeach.

All inside the State, nothing outside the State.

The current Federal administration seems to be taking that as a rule instead of a warning to avoid such practices.

When the Education Department shows up, Florida should throw them in jail for trying to overthrow the govt of Florida, Don’t let them out until the Jan 6th Capitol trespassers are released.

That is dangerous nonsense. Nobody is trying to overthrow the government of Florida. The federal government has every right to investigate whether the Florida governor has made an order (possibly exceeding his authority, but that’s a matter for the state courts) that violates federal law. If so, it is automatically invalid.
