Olympic Gold Medalist Tamyra Mensah-Stock: ‘I Love Representing the U.S.’

Olympic Gold Medalist Tamyra Mensah-Stock: ‘I Love Representing the U.S.’

“I freaking love living there. I love it. I’m so happy I get to represent [the] USA!”

I hope Olympic gold medalist Tamyra Mensah-Stock becomes America’s Sweetheart because she is perfect for the job!

Mensah-Stock has so much love for her family and country.

Unlike so many athletes, Mensah-Stock loves America.

“I love representing the U.S.! I freaking love living there. I love it. I’m so happy I get to represent [the] USA!”

Mensah-Stock became only the second American woman and first black woman to win gold in wrestling.

Good for her! Congrats.

What a breath of fresh air! Thank you for this story, I needed it.

“Tamyra was born in Chicago and grew up in Houston suburbs. Her father was a Ghanaian who lived in Ghana until the age of 30”

Do you think Dad provided her some real-life perspective on what it is to live here versus somewhere else?

I have known a number of first gen immigrants who really appreciated being in America, and who fount the entitlement attitude of American blacks distasteful.

Nice girl.

And she’s going to be a rich nice girl.

Isn’t it sad that this is NEWS

Olympics? Never heard of it.

I started listening to someone talking about Simone Biles and he started his missive with “I dont know what her politics is…” and that right there hit me like a tone of bricks.

Biles seems to be the exception these days…I loved the fact I had NO fucking idea what her politics was. I just wish more privileged sports people would be the same.

But then again, that is probably the difference here. Biles IS the very top of her sport, she has dedicated her life to gymnastics and is methodical and disciplined about how she does that.

Those other fuckers I get the sense they aren’t methodical or particularly disciplined and spend more time protesting than practising (hello American poof ball team).

Good for this girl for enjoying life right now. Long may she stay that way.

About time one of these athletes gets it.

Dude, most of them get it. They are drowned out by the narcissistic, attention whores. We all aid and abet that when we allow ourselves to be diverted and focus on the malcontents.

She’ll put those pajama boys in a head lock if they get in her grill about loving the USA.
Those pajama boys are afraid of this young lady. And that’s a good thing.

Was watching some of the track events last night. During the coverage they mentioned this young woman’s accomplishment but made no mention of her pro-America commentary or the fact that she was the first black woman to win a wrestling gold. I thought that was odd given that NBC is generally obsessed with “firsts”.

They also found time to mention Gwen Jones who managed to finish 11th in the hammer. I am guessing she is the only 11th place finisher to get coverage in prime time. Of course they mentioned something about her raised fist protest.

“I thought that was odd given that NBC is generally obsessed with “firsts”.”

Only Democrat firsts. Looking forward to “first teen president.”

Will the scourge of white nationalism NEVER end!? LMAO

She was very cute in her interview
Sounded almost valley girl but true happiness

How little of that going around these days

Wrestling and Wokism is like oil and water. Wokism is loser-think, it just doesn’t fly on the mat.

First of all; my apologies to Ms. Mensah-Stock and all the other women Olympic wrestlers. Not only are you all great athletes you are great wrestlers.
That I thought less of women competing in the sport of wrestling is an example of closed mindedness on my part

Enjoyed watching exciting world class wrestling.

Ms. Mensah-Stock is a great competitor, a great wrestler, and a great American

This is the kind of athlete we need, I am glad she won gold but if given the choice of gold with Rapinoe or last place with her I would pick last place with her (Yes I know she won and Rapinoe lost but that hypothetical is how I feel about the Olympics).

We need an American team not a DNC team.

Too many people lose sight of the fact that MOST of the athletes representing the US at the Olympics are more like her than like Rapin ho.
