Gender Neutral “Chestfeeding” and “Parent’s Milk” recommended by Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine

Social justice warriors are confident and bold right now, pushing insanity that even ten years ago would have been (quite rightly) laughed back to the lunatic fringes (where it belongs).

These days, though, Democrats, including the Biden administration, are proud to diminish mothers and motherhood with insulting and offensive embrace of the idea that mothers are “birthing people.”  Marxist black supremacist groups like Black Lives Matter are still pushing to “disrupt” the nuclear family, even as the public backlash caused them to remove this statement from their “What we believe” page.

Given the warp speed with which Critical Race Theory has K-12 education and corporate America twisting in its death grip, is it really surprising that this anti-woman, anti-motherhood, anti-family “birthing people” psychosis is seeping from fringe kooks to more mainstream organizations?

Case in point, the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine is encouraging use of the terms “chestfeeding” (shudder) and “parents milk” rather than the biologically accurate “breastfeeding” and “mother’s milk.”

Fox News reports:

A worldwide organization of doctors called the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine urged the use of “gender-inclusive language” such as “chestfeeding,” “parent’s milk” and “human milk feeding” in new guidelines. “ABM recognizes that not all people who give birth and lactate identify as female, and that some of these individuals identify as neither female nor male,” said in a document posted July 29.Eight doctors and the organization co-authored the document on “infant feeding and lactation-related language and gender,” and said that “the use of de-sexed or gender-inclusive language is appropriate in many settings.”One of the co-authors, Dr. Laura Kair of the UC Davis Children’s Hospital, said in a statement that, “language has power.”

Indeed it does. And that is precisely why we must not comply with these insulting and degrading linguistic gymnastics that attempt to raise up one group (men who “identify” as women) by dragging down another, in this case, women more generally and mothers specifically.

Fox News continues:

Critics have slammed such language, including actress Kirstie Alley, who said she was “tired” of phrases “nullifying” women and their ability to breastfeed. “I’m a little tired of the degrading and nullifying of women and their abilities. Breastfeeding is one of our abilities. It’s a beautiful and important ability. Knock off the nullifying of women fir the sake of lunatics. Equal rights does not equal insanity,” Alley tweeted Saturday morning.

Amen, sister.
