More Maskless Texas Democrats Test Positive for COVID-19

Two more Texas Democrats tested positive for COVID-19 in Washington, DC, after they fled their home state. The members went to DC to deny Texas Republicans a quorum so they could not pass a new voting law.

That means five of the 60 Democrats have COVID-19.

All five had the vaccine. Reports indicate they are showing none or mild symptoms:

San Antonio Rep. Trey Martinez Fischer said Sunday he was among the two new positive tests.”Today, I received a positive COVID-19 rapid antigen test result. I am fully vaccinated, and had tested negative on Friday and Saturday. I am quarantining until I test negative, and I am grateful to be only experiencing extremely mild symptoms,” he said in a statement, which urged the public to get vaccinated and said he will continue to participate in the quorum break.Earlier Sunday, Austin Rep. Celia Israel said in a statement she was among the initial three to test positive. The House Democratic Caucus said it would not identify lawmakers who test positive out of respect for their privacy. But the caucus has started additional precautionary measures, like providing daily rapid tests for all lawmakers and their staff in Washington, D.C.

In other words, the vaccines work. The vaccine does not guarantee you will not get COVID or its variants. It also helps you be asymptomatic or mildly sick with COVID. Can we stop the unnecessary tests?

But the hypocrisy is priceless. These people want you to stay masked 24/7 and stay six feet apart.

Yet, they had no problem showing themselves packed on a plane and bus. You have to wear a mask on planes.

Rules for thee, but not for me.
