‘You Work for Me’: NY Mom Scorches School Board Over Critical Race Theory
“You’re emotionally and mentally abusing our children. You’re demoralizing them by teaching them communist values. This is still America.”
In Carmel, New York, a mom went viral after she destroyed the school board over critical race theory.
The board members tried to quiet her down, but she did not relent. Instead, she put them in their place and shoved their tails between their legs.
The mother starts with a bang:
My message to this district and the members of the board of ed,” she said. “Stop indoctrinating our children. Stop teaching our children to hate the police. Stop teaching our children that if they don’t agree with the LGBT community that they’re homophobic. You have no idea each child’s life. You don’t know what their family lifestyle consists of. You don’t know the makeup of their life.
You have children like mine who are Muslim and I’m Christian and everyone would think they would never believe that of her, right, because the way she looks or according to Miss Cyrus, she’s too pasty white.
The board then tried to make the woman tone down her speech. I guess Miss Cyrus is a teacher in the district because the speaker said they could not use names.
You know, if you have a problem with a specific person, then call the superintendent, yadda yadda yadda.
Mama Bear wasn’t having any of that:
Why are we not allowed to discuss names? Why am I not allowed when they purposely expose themselves on social media, talking about calling for the death of a former president or saying that any child that doesn’t believe in black lives matter should be canceled out?
Is this what my tax dollars are paying for? Teaching my children and other children that if they believe in God Almighty they’re part of a cult?
These educators put their own names out there. We have Mr. Berry who took it upon himself with Miss Cyrus to create a curriculum. That should be it. Do you want the proof? I have the proof you created a curriculum of Black Panther indoctrination. You use taxpayers dollars.
The board tries to interrupt her again.
Nope! They fail again:
Can we not let the public speak? Why can’t we let the public know that you’re teaching our children to go out and murder our police officers. Do you want the proof? I have the proof. Is that what scares you? A parent standing up against all of you? Is that what scares you? To call out the names of these people?
You work for me. I don’t work for you. You have a duty. We’re entrusting our children to you. We teach our children morals and values. When they grow up to commit crimes and end up in prison and kill a police officer it’s our fault. No, it’s your fault.
You’re emotionally and mentally abusing our children. You’re demoralizing them by teaching them communist values.
This is still America. And as long as I’m standing here on this good ground Earth of God I will fight. And this is not the last of me you will see.
How about this mic drop:
You came to the wrong do this, okay? You need to respect every child. So therefore no politics should be discussed in school whether it be conservatism, democratic, liberalism.
You gave a survey after the elections. Why? Why did you ask students who they voted for? What did it matter?
*Crickets* Pure silence:
No answer, huh? You have no answers for me. I didn’t expect an answer.
That’s okay, though. We’ll get them some way or another.

Apart from her impressive presentation, there are two particular points I found notable.
1. Because she was confronting the Board head-on with facts and naming names, they accused her of not being peaceful. Her response was perfect (she wasn’t burning things) but note how these leftists characterize dissent as violence but riots as peaceful.
2. She disclosed that someone authorized spending +/-$630.00 per set of (apparently) CRT materials without approval or knowledge of the Superintendent. Someone in Carmel needs to look into that. That is probably the basis of her introductory words that the Board in comprised of crooks (paraphrase)

And… she never backed down. She would not allow them to intimidate her.

No. She needs to be head of the school board so she can root out and remove the corrupt racists at the schools. One point that we need to remember is that Biden is the head racist because he is attempting to force all schools to teach CRT!
I thought mom was great!! We see Leftist practice of Herbert Marcuse rooted repressive tolerance in multiple social arenas now. I think this is another example…..they thought she was engaging in a violent conversation when she wasn’t and yet violent protestors are peaceful…yup that I think is repressive tolerance in action.
Think about how many school boards need to be confronted like this. Colleges? So much work to be done, it is daunting.

It’s just MSM doing their typical hate on anything Trump. They have to twist the news to make it against Trump. They make it appear that the price of the stock was related to Trump. But on that day – the whole market was up and Facebook has no economic gain from keeping a guy off who is already off. So they took an unrelated fact (stock that happened to be up) and twisted it into an Anti-Trump narrative. They know many people (just as you have) will think there must be some correlation and then believe that the market hates Trump. So, it’s basically a lie that is dressed up in a sneaky way to look like it has some element of truth.

If she persists she should prepare to be targeted by BLM and antifa.
And after the school board brands her a white supremacist the new American Stasi, AKA the FBI, may visit at 5 AM, take her into custody, and put her in the new American Gulag for political prisoners. Where the Jan 6 non-violent unarmed trespassers are being held without bail and abused by their jailers.
We ALL have to at least stop being obedient sheep. We DON’T have to obey these commies. It’s a communist takeover and we need to dig in our heels where we stand and refuse to take another step. We can start by keeping our children home from these schools. No “education” is better than communist indoctrination where they are taught to hate everything we used to be willing to fight and die for.
We need a million more like her.

Yet another example of how the d/progressive depend upon cooperation with their dictates. They don’t want to debate ideas or even have someone express ideas contrary to their neo orthodoxy.
They truly expect willing obedience to their demands. When confronted they fold. Unless they have some ‘muscle’ standing by. Even then average Citizens can be successful when accompanied by sufficient numbers of other Citizens who refuse to be silenced for expressing their opinions.
This is good theater, and I enjoy it immensely. This is a brave woman.
However, it is mostly bad strategy.

Both of these statements are technically incorrect.
They work for the government. That’s where their paycheck comes from.
She works for them. Part of her income is used to pay school taxes which pay their salaries.
It is a good thing to point out incompetence and woke madness in the government schools, and LI performs a valuable service by publishing articles like this. Too many parents are ignorant of what their children are being subjected to.
But attempts to reform the government schools are both futile and misguided. They are a waste of time, energy, and money.
Then by all means, let’s get out there and start waiving the white flag. Sorry things suck for you so much that you think others should “give up”, but you’re in the minority here with your stance.
I don’t consider pulling children out of our totalitarian socialist government school system to be “giving up”.
If you want to fight to take over a totalitarian socialist system, I suppose that’s up to you, but I will continue to consider it to be foolish and unethical.

Everyone drawing a government salary is a public servant. They work for the taxpayer and the elected boards they report to are as accountable to the public as the electorate determines they are.
IMO, the best way to achieve reform of public schools is to insist that every dollar of taxes for the purpose of public education follow the student to the educational choice his parents decide upon. Public, private, parochial, homeschool, blended, whatever actually works for the student.
Some locations are not as far gone as others and those public schools could be redeemed. In other locations the same can’t be said.
