UK Daily Mail: Study Claims Chinese Scientists Bioengineered Coronavirus
The researchers also assert Chinese scientists reverse-engineered versions of the virus to cover up their tracks after the pandemic began.
A bombshell study that is poised to be published claims to have proof that Chinese scientists bioengineered the coronavirus that caused the COVID-19 pandemic.
Furthermore, the analysis also shows that the Chinese researchers tried to reverse-engineer versions of the virus to make it look like it evolved naturally from bats.
British Professor Angus Dalgleish and Norwegian scientist Dr. Birger Sørensen wrote they’ve had primary evidence “of retro-engineering in China” since last year, but were ignored by academics and major medical journals, The Daily Mail reported Saturday, citing the soon-to-be-published study.
The study concludes: “the likelihood of it being the result of natural processes is very small.” The virus is still killing 12,000 people a day around the world.
Dalgleish is a London oncology professor known for breakthrough work on a vaccine for HIV. Sørensen is a virologist and chair of the pharmaceutical company Immunor, which developed a coronavirus vaccine candidate called Biovacc-19. Dalgleish also has a financial stake in that company.
The journal article is slated to be published in the next few days by Quarterly Review of Biophysics Discovery. The material was exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com, which provided a snapshot of some of Dalgleish’s and Sørensen’s findings in its recently published review of the upcoming study.
Digging through archives of journals and databases, Dalgleish and Sørensen pieced together how Chinese scientists, some working in concert with American universities, allegedly built the tools to create the coronavirus.
Much of the work was centered around controversial ‘Gain of Function’ research – temporarily outlawed in the US under the Obama administration.
Gain of Function involves tweaking naturally occurring viruses to make them more infectious, so that they can replicate in human cells in a lab, allowing the virus’s potential effect on humans to be studied and better understood.
Dalgleish and Sørensen claim that scientists working on Gain of Function projects took a natural coronavirus ‘backbone’ found in Chinese cave bats and spliced onto it a new ‘spike’, turning it into the deadly and highly transmissible SARS-Cov-2.
One tell-tale sign of alleged manipulation the two men highlighted was a row of four amino acids they found on the SARS-Cov-2 spike.
The four-amino-acid sequence is unnatural because they are all positively charged and would not reside next to each other in a genetic sequence that arose naturally. The grouping also means that the protein sticks to human cells like a magnet.
Legal Insurrection readers may recall I cited other genetic markers, which were also hallmarks of man-made manipulation, in my review of a detailed analysis of the origins of the coronavirus by veteran science writer Nicolas Wade.
The DailyMail.com article provides diagrams of the the coronavirus RNA-structure, with the locations of man-made linking marked. The review also includes a table that shows that after the pandemic began to rage across the globe, the Chinese scientists submitted a number of different samples to the GenBank years after they were collected, in an effort to retro-engineer the virus and “prove” its “natural origins”. The Chinese clearly worked to tie bats and pangolins to the virus.
It is also being reported that the study will also blast China, academia, and the media for their mishandling of information related to the pathogen.
Quoting the authors, Daily Mail said that the duo had “prima facie evidence of retro-engineering in China” for a year but was ignored by academics and major journals. The study also accuses Chinese labs of “deliberate destruction, concealment or contamination of data.”
Dalgleish and Sørensen paint a very damning picture. Hopefully, I will be able to review the full 22-page report, as this may be one of the most important scientific findings ever published about COVID-19.

IMO, the escape from the lab was accidental, given how highly contagious it is, but the spread from China was intentionally not stopped (to gain competitive advantage and get rid of Trump)..
Legitimate research produces copious evidence, in the form of laboratory records. If there are sections of the Wuhan lab records that are pencilled (faked), substituted, or missing, there will be traces left behind.
We also need to watch for traces of CCP action: disappearances of researchers or members of their families, reversals in public positions taken by researchers or critics of the CCP, concerted explosions of fake news fireworks, etc.
Finally, we need to look at the differences between the CCP vaccines and those of the rest of the world, to find out whether the vaccines should be discontinued due to a tendency to provoke a hyperimmune response on subsequent challenge.

So that’s a story about gain-of-function research, Fauci, the WIV, and the NIH. We all know it by now. But here’s what caught my attention:

But this leads me back to the other great lie/suppression/propoganda op of our time: The Big Cheat Election of 2020. The two of course are related, with the forces of globalism, cronyism, corruption, Big China and ideological Marxism all allied in interests to defeat the one leader who threatened to roll back their agenda that has gone largely unchecked for 20+ years.
The truth must come out. But in the meanwhile, I would ask LI if it could perform a great service to the debate and publish a summary analysis of all the “election suits” brought by Team Trump (i.e. Team America-as-founded) in terms of salient issues/evidence and the grounds for decision.
It is too easy for most to hand-waive the mountains of evidence of large scale shenanigans by saying “20 lawsuits were all found baseless” etc. We know that most were dismissed on procedural/standing grounds, and some cases simply wrongly decided on Constitutional issues. The remaining were all before there was a chance to develop the kind of evidence now emerging in AZ and GA.

The fact that they are “allowing” it isn’t because they are being forced to, it’s because it now somehow serves their purposes in whatever the next step of their game is. They’re not allowing it because they have somehow been forced to, by exposure or any other reality-based reason — no one can force them to discuss anything they don’t want to see discussed. (Hunter’s laptop, anyone?)
Our country is over run with Chinese products, Chinese students, Chinese influence, China buying up land and taking over US companies. Next we need to know Fauci’s involvement.
He approved funding for gain of function research in Chinese labs, because it was considered too dangerous to do in the USA – even with level 5 containment. The lab in Wuhan is apparently level 2, described as like a dentist’s office.
The most secure labs at WIV are level 4. But the research on bat corona viruses was being conducted in a level 2 lab, when it should have been in a level 3 or 4 lab.

I would like to point out that as I have been following the story since the beginning, the most reliable sources of news have been British and Indian. Also, we can’t be certain of American researchers were also sounding the alarm, because their views have been suppressed.

I personally know 3 virologists who got red-pilled last April because they thought the virus had to be engineered. That’s 100% of the virologists I know, though the sample size is too small.

I didn’t comment in another forum on this yesterday. Half the commenters said there was no proof it was manmade, that gene editing would have left traces that could be seen. And yet, I recall reading a year ago that there was evidence of gene editing. But in the MSM. Seems the evidence has been here all along, and there are many still not seeing it.
Is it possible that Rona is natural and has an intermediate host animal? Sure. We haven’t identified a species host/bridge for Ebola and have been looking since the late 1970’s.
That said, lots of people with experience in the field have pointed out that there are curious things about Rona that seem to indicate it has characteristics consistent with human tinkering. Is it man made? Maybe.
Taking into account the origin Nation and location. The response of that Nation to downplay the situation. In fact to deliberately mislead and obscure the problem so much that international flights were not curtailed….the fact that they did not invite independent evaluation of the two labs in the city of origin or deliver full and complete data from those labs and its health care providers to the international community for independent analysis and verification….
Those things taken together seem to indicate China is disingenuous at best. In the absence of proof from the Chinese of exculpatory evidence or even willing cooperation with anyone independent of China, it seems fair to say that it likely came from one of the labs inadvertently from a failure to follow safety protocol.
IMO, the ball is the court of China to disprove that very reasonable assumption. They have yet to do so.

“Engineered” or not, I’m convinced the release was intentional. The only thing the CCP did not know was how close mRNA vaccines were to deployment in the US. It took a trillion dollars of taxpayer money, which would be paid back by Pfizer and Moderna from sales to other countries, if Biden hadn’t waved that requirement. But at the end of the day, anything the Democrats can do to distract attention from one of Trump’s greatest achievements, they will do. And I say this as someone who never voted for him.
