Brooklyn Middle School Principal Emailed Staff Urging Support for Palestinians and Sanctions Against Israel
“You can take action today by protesting, attending a vigil, making a public commitment to Palestinian Liberation, signing a petition, or calling your government officials to place sanctions on Isreal (sic)”
This is another reminder that parents need to pay close attention to who is teaching their children.
The New York Post reports:
NYC principal under fire for email imploring staff to support Palestinians
A Brooklyn middle school principal this week urged teachers and administrators to demand government sanctions against Israel — sparking outrage and a pending probe by the school system’s independent investigator, The Post has learned.
In an email sent amid the since-suspended fighting between Israel and Hamas terrorists, Principal Amanda Bueno told staffers at MS 136, “If you have been watching the news in absolute horror, you are not alone.”
“You can take action today by protesting, attending a vigil, making a public commitment to Palestinian Liberation, signing a petition, or calling your government officials to place sanctions on Isreal (sic),” she wrote Wednesday morning.
“The time is now to take a stand for those impacted by state-sanctioned violence and crimes against the humanity of the most vulnerable in our world.”
Bueno — who titled the email, “Day of Action in Solidarity with The Palestinian Uprising & General Strike” — also included a list of links.
One led to the “Teach Palestine” website and another to a May 10 article about US Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) tweeting against the Israeli raid on the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem that sparked the recent round of Hamas rocket attacks.
An MS 136 teacher, who is Jewish, told The Post, “I opened the email and I was in shock. I felt very targeted and very attacked by her words.”
The MS 136 principal must apologize for her email. This was a clear exercise of poor judgment & we will take appropriate follow-up action. We must teach complex current events without bringing our political activities or beliefs into the classroom.

Rather than proselytizing for her progressive political beliefs, had this public school employee sent out an email asking for prayer in Jesus’ name for the success of a truthful AZ election audit, he or she would have been fired summarily for hate crimes.
No Bueno!
Wake me when Bueno is actually fired, like a Trump supporter would already have been.
Did I get this right? A middle school principal is using her (likely) government-provided computer to access her (likely) government-provided email account on (likely) taxpayer time to encourage and solicit school staff under her supervision to express support for a terrorist organization. Did I miss anything?
Sadly this country no longer has “schools”. They have become Indoctrination Facilities,
Public school is child abuse.
This Middle School Principal is beyond disgusting ! She has NO right to inject Middle East Politics into her duties as a Principal, especially when she is 100% WRONG ! She is apparently on the side of a TERRORIST Organization, which is Hamas, and she wants to indoctrinate her Staff, and the children to believe the same way. She should be fired, and never get a job again involving young minds !
This useless dingbat can’t even spell Israel correctly.
The New York Times has already published an article in the Sunday paper “pitying” the Palestinians in Gaza as an occupied and oppressed people.
I thought Brooklyn was home to a lot of Jews. So this woman’s calls for protest could easily lead to violence against members of the community. Does she advocate for expelling Jewish students? Maybe she’d like them to wear yellow stars.
