AG Merrick Garland Says White Supremacists ‘the Most Dangerous Threat to Our Democracy’

Attorney General Merrick Garland told Congress that white supremacists represent the greatest danger to America right now.

His testimony was a gross distortion of reality. It is nothing more than an attempt to reinforce the narrative pushed by Democrats and the media since January of this year.

Alexander Nazaryan of Yahoo News has details:

White supremacy is top security threat, Garland saysAttorney General Merrick Garland told Congress on Wednesday that violence incited by white supremacists poses “the most dangerous threat to our democracy.” That assertion reflects near-universal consensus among national security experts, including those who worked for the Trump administration.Garland’s warning came during a Senate Appropriations Committee hearing on the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, which was conducted by supporters of then-President Donald Trump and incited by white supremacist groups like the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys. Five people died as a result of the attack.“In my career as a judge and in law enforcement, I have not seen a more dangerous threat to democracy than the invasion of the Capitol,” Garland said, calling the attack an “attempt to interfere with a fundamental element of our democracy, the peaceful transfer of power.” The attorney general went on to say that “there has to be a hierarchy of things that we prioritize. This would be the one we’d prioritize.”

In the video of Garland’s testimony below, he lumps the January 6th Capitol rioters in with the KKK, which he fails to mention was an outgrowth of the Democrat party, the Unabomber, and the Oklahoma City bombing.

At the 4:15 mark, Garland says: “When someone tries to promote or impose an ideology through acts of violence, those acts can be the most dangerous crimes we confront as a society.”

Is that not exactly what BLM and Antifa did as they burned, looted, and rioted their way through American cities for most of 2020? Funny, he fails to mention those groups even once. Watch:

To borrow one of Obama’s favorite words, this is a distraction. No one would deny that racist groups exist in America today, but they are a tiny minority and the country has much bigger problems.
