As COVID Deaths Mount, China Tells India to Reverse its “Pro-US Diplomacy”

CCP-run newspaper Global Times: New Delhi should “re-evaluate its relationship with the US and its allies.”

As India reported a record number of Wuhan coronavirus cases for the sixth straight day, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has told the country to change its “pro-US diplomacy.”

On Tuesday, India reported over 320,000 new cases of the Chinese virus, taking the number of nationwide infections to 17.6 million — out of which 5 million were detected in April alone. With the massive coronavirus surge, the country struggles with a crippling shortage of vaccines, oxygen, and other medical supplies.

As the death toll from the Wuhan virus mounts, Communist China tries cynically to drive a wedge between India and the West.

“India should reflect on the course of its pro-US diplomacy over the years. It ought to rethink its return to strategic autonomy,” the CCP-run newspaper Global Times said in an editorial on Monday.

The Chinese editorial blamed India’s ordeal with the Wuhan pandemic on its pro-U.S. foreign policy and its hostile relations with Beijing. “Now India is bearing the disappointing consequences of its choice. At the very least, the strategic choice of leaning to the US to contain China is completely wrong,” the Maoist daily concluded.

China is weaponizing the global mayhem created by the Wuhan pandemic to attack and intimidate its Asian neighbors, including India. In May 2020, the Chinese military overran Indian border posts and occupied a strategic valley in India’s Kashmir region.

With the U.S. and the West preoccupated with the pandemic, China is encircling India. Under the cover of its commercial Belt and Road Initiative, Beijing is acquiring military, air, and naval bases in Iran and Pakistan. With the talk of China’s People Liberal Army (PLA) entering Afghanistan after U.S. troops leave by September, India fears a Chinese pincer movement from the West.

India’s military planners are worried about China entering Afghanistan after the U.S. withdrawal.

“We have concerns about Afghanistan,” India’s Army chief Bipin Rawat admitted last week, “If the US feels that their withdrawal … is ultimately going to lead to peace and tranquility, we would be happy to see such a situation emerging. But our concern is that the vacuum should not create space for other disruptors to step in.”

China is pursuing a “string of pearls” strategy at sea by taking control of strategic ports and islands stretching from the Indian Ocean to the Persian Gulf. The move effectively gives Beijing the ability to impose a naval embargo against India in a conflict.

China’s hostile actions and military build-up along the border have prompted India to seek better ties with the U.S. and Asian Pacific neighbors. Under President Donald Trump’s watch, India upgraded its participation in the U.S.-led Asia Pacific alliance or the Quad. The four-nation coalition — comprising of the U.S., Australia, Japan, and India — is seen as a counterweight to China’s growing naval and military build-up in the region.

The growing U.S.-India defense ties, particularly New Delhi’s membership of the Quad, have angered China. Last year, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi accused the Trump administration of building an “Indo-Pacific NATO,” a Cold War Western alliance created to counter a similar threat posed by Soviet imperialism.

I’m getting very tired of the Chinese communists’ constant belligerence, bullying and global mischief. This is one evil regime. They won’t shut up and they are gleefully spreading their malign influence wherever it will do the most damage.

Multiple U.S. presidents (until Trump) failed to take China seriously as a global threat and allowed this problem to fester, unaddressed.

And Team Biden looks the other way without so much as a peep

A change in our trade policies would bring them to heel in a matter of days.

It will be interesting if India recognizes that China created the bug, that China limited internal spread while spreading it worldwide, that China manipulated the market to profit off it, and that China has intentionally withheld key information.

All this and more makes me think this was intentional. Does India understand?

If China, in a last desperate gasp at trying to preserve Unity in a failing country, attacks Taiwan, there will be torpedoes slamming into the Chinese flotilla that don’t come from Taiwanese or American Submarines. I bet India, Vietnam, Korea and even the Philippines take a shot at China, knowing they can just slip away into the dark ocean waters and no one will ever know.

“…and no one will ever know.”

We will know exactly who fired any torpedoes. Read up on our submarine capability when you have a chance.

The subs India, Vietnam, Korea, and the Philippines can deploy are so noisy we can detect them from the North Pole.

So, China, the country that caused over 1 million to die in India by allowing COVID-19 to spread worldwide, is pushing the India to sever ties with the USA over COVID-19 ?

Does the CCP have no shame ?

+ China kept the airport in Wuhan open for over a month after they knew a highly infectious SARS virus was rapidly spreading. It’s not like they did not know it was deadly. The first SARS out break killed tens of thousands before it was brought under control in 2004.

No, they subscribe to the nominally “secular” Pro-Choice, selective, opportunistic, relativistic (“ethical”) religion, which socially justified their final solution(s) (e.g. Great Leap, one-child), and now their wicked solution(s) (e.g. planned parenthood), too.

No, they have no shame. And they’re aided by that demented old cretin being propped up by God knows who in the DNC every time they criticize anyone who points out that Covid-19 originated in and was spread from Wuhan China, home of the Wuhan Institute of Virology where they’ve been doing gain of function research on coronaviruses.

Pretty sure the Indian government is smart enough to tell the PRC bullies to pound sand. The PRC is becoming less subtle and IMO, they are not yet wrong enough to succeed. All they have accomplished here and with Australia and other Nations is to reveal their bad intentions.

HCQ cocktail, Ivermectin protocol, Steroids to control inflammation. Drop the masks. Wash you hands. Avoid black whores…. black holes h/t NAACP…. back holes (i.e. fecal transmission). Pennys on the Rupee. Oh, and close Planned Parent/hood facilities and practices, a leading cause of excess deaths on a year over year every year basis.

If it were really that easy, why are millions of people dead from Covid? Do you have an answer that doesn’t involve nutty conspiracy theories?

India should rethink their alliance with the US? Or what? Covid20 gets released in New Delhi?

The nice thing is, the Indians have nukes, they work, and the CCP knows it. The Indians have delivery missiles, they work, and the CCP knows it. Nothing, not one damn thing the communist Chinese have to say will change the Indian opinion of the chinese. Indians despise and loathe the Chicoms.

This is truly scary. If the Chinese succeed in alienating India from us, American companies may have to hire American customer service agents.
Why, that’s three steps closer to anarchy!

A “world record” for cases in a country with a billion people doesn’t mean much. Plus I wonder how these tests are conducted. What’s their amplification rate? The new twice-weekly tests the UK is doing have 90% false positives. You can get spectacular numbers for India with that kind of testing.

Barry in reply to randian. | April 28, 2021 at 10:02 am

You can just imagine how they are conducted. In a country (and I love India and the Indian people) that has something like 1 billion living in abject poverty with no healthcare other than that practiced for ten thousand years, nothing, not one damned thing, medical is reliable.

And why should it be? Here in the wealthy USA nothing medical is reliable.

I feel for my Indian friends as the Indian economy is in terrible condition and many are out of work with no near term prospects.

An appropriate Indian response to China would be in German: “Leck mich am Arsch”.
