U.S. Capitol Police Obtain Intelligence of ‘Possible Plot’ By a Militia to ‘Breach the Capitol’

“Perfect excuse to keep the national guard there and further the fear campaign put forth by the @joebiden administration and the fake news media.”

The U.S. Capitol Police have increased security because they obtained intelligence with a supposed credible threat against Capitol Hill.

The attack is reportedly going to happen on March 4th, which is the original presidential inauguration day.

From the press release:

The United States Capitol Police Department is aware of and prepared for any potential threats towards members of Congress or towards the Capitol complex. We have obtained intelligence that shows a possible plot to breach the Capitol by an identified militia group on Thursday, March 4. We have already made significant security upgrades to include establishing a physical structure and increasing manpower to ensure the protection of Congress, the public and our police officers.

Our Department is working with our local, state, and federal partners to stop any threats to the Capitol. We are taking the intelligence seriously. Due to the sensitive nature of this information, we cannot provide additional details at this time.

Nothing has happened since January 6th. Nothing close has happened since January 6th.

Nothing happened on Inauguration Day!

The Capitol Police already said they do not have a timeline to remove the barbed wire fencing around Capitol Hill.

FOX 5 saw an email saying the National Guard could stay in DC until the fall:

Robert Salesses who began Performing the Duties of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Global Security on January 20, 2021, wrote in the e-mail:

“If it’s not possible to sustain at the current level with NG personnel, we need to establish the number of NG personnel (DCNG and out-of-state) we can sustain for an extended period – at least through Fall 2021 – and understand additional options for providing DoD support, to include use of reserve personnel, as well as active component.”

I am not the only one who can see through this power grab.

An FBI official just testified today that the only shots fired on January 6th were the shots fired when the capitol policeman (unidentified still) shot an unarmed woman.

Not a single shot fired in what they call an armed insurrection and an attempt to assassinate members of Congress!

And on the same day the FBI admits these essential facts, a new story is made up about armed militia coming to DC. Bad timing in making up this phony story. but the MSM won’t mention that.

bhwms in reply to JOHN B. | March 4, 2021 at 12:13 pm

Nor a single firearm confiscated by the FBI, according to testimony.

I heard, but don’t remember where, that DC police arrested a couple of people for possession without a license outside the Capitol.

Ben Kent in reply to JOHN B. | March 4, 2021 at 1:42 pm

      NO INSURRECTION

It’s impossible to overthrow a modern government with ZERO firearms. The FBI just told Senate hearing that there were NO FIREARMS confiscated at the Capitol event on Jan 6.

The Republicans that went along with this charade of an impeachment look like FOOLS – Pelosi STOOGES. They will not get reelected. MY grandmother could win their seats – if she ran against them. They will be removed by voters for profound stupidity. GOODBYE Lix Cheney and the other fools.

    HUNGER GAMES

Everyday it is more like the trilogy “Hunger Games” come to life.

In the books, the Capitol of the country rules with an Iron-Fist. They distract the population by pitting different groups against each other.

Propaganda is the norm. It’s a police state with extensive surveillance of the population.

    The parallels are amazing.

Actionable intelligence tells us that we can keep from having a State of the Union Address if we can convince enough people that is it unsafe. That way, no one has to see Joe Biden droop on himself in a Public forum.

Maybe the congressional security outfit can bring in reinforcements from the CDC or some Commerce Department Census Enforcers.

The O’Biden debacle has brought immutable shame as the standard bearer for American governmental failure.

Did somebody buy a Viking helmet?

Razor wire is not just for shaving anymore.

Then what? First step is to placate, neutralize the mother (“Capitol Police”), then you rob, rape the cradle (“Capitol”). The order of viability matters.

#BureaucratLivesMatter(BLM)? #BabyLivesMatter(BLM)

I am willing to bet the FBI has known of a minimum of one plot to ‘breach the capitol’ for every year since 1908 when it was founded. And yet the Weather Underground bombings in 1975 cruised right past their noses until *after* the events, and it took vast amounts of their resources to track the left-wing radicals down in the years after. Thankfully, destructive radicals like Bernardine Dohrn were tracked down by their ceaseless efforts and put into prison where they remain to this… um… Ok, she’s actually out and involved in the BLM movement, but I’m sure it’s the thought that counts. Certainly the staggering amount of seven months in prison and her lucrative employment afterward will serve as a stunning discouragement to other such terrorists.

Too late, they’ve already taken it over and installed a pupper president.

LeftWingLock | March 3, 2021 at 4:08 pm

During the Obama years, the post office bought like 100 MM rounds of ammunition. Maybe we can send the National Guard home and just use post office people to guard the Capital. The post office only delivers 2 days a week now anyways.

Milhouse in reply to LeftWingLock. | March 4, 2021 at 12:23 am

No, it didn’t buy anywhere near that amount. Nor did any other agency. The numbers reported were requests for quotes, followed by contracts to buy up to those amounts. Federal procurement laws require that before any purchases can be made, so they put in a high number that will take years to fill, if ever. That way they don’t have to keep going through the process every time they want to make a purchase.

The Post Office, of course, contains the oldest federal law enforcement agency of all, so of course it needs ammunition for that.

Brave Sir Robbin in reply to LeftWingLock. | March 4, 2021 at 11:32 am

    Milhouse:

The post contained a bit of sarcasm and hyperbole.

The issue at the time was that federal agencies were contracting for massive amounts of ammunition, with some people theorizing the purposes was to divert supply form the individual purchaser to starve the general public of ammunition, or even some rather sinister purposes.

Indeed, the level or contracting seemed wildly excessive given actual needs of the agencies and also accounting for those agency’s desires to have more capacity and authorization for purchasing than actual requirements so they do not have to re-issue bids and proposals all the time.

For example, in 2012 DHS contracted for the supply 750 Million rounds of hollow point ammunition in March of that same year on a 10 year supply order (75 million rounds per year). The training and certification requirements for ammunition for ALL federal law enforcement for ALL types of ammunition is around 100 million rounds per year (https://www.gao.gov/assets/700/695984.pdf). This was one on many large contracts established by various federal agencies during the period.

Also, federal agencies often use each other’s contracting vehicles for supplies of materiel and services, and when you added it all up, the overlapping redundancy was staggering with the ability of these organizations to purchase BILLIONS of rounds per year all totaled when, again, their actual need and usage is around 100 million rounds per year.

I do not think there was any sinister intent in any of this. Indeed, if the federal government was buying huge quantities of ammunition, it would just be increasing production capacity in civil industry with would allow it to flood the market to individual buyers in the federal purchasing demand dropped.

But it seems every federal agency has its own police force in addition to armed security contractors, which is a result of distrust and unresponsiveness of centralized police powers to the needs of those non-law enforcement agencies that nonetheless need those services to investigate and arrest (EPA officials notice illegal activity and refers something to the FBI and never hear back, for example, or worse, the FBI sends it’s “C” team that does not understand the issues, is incompetent, and mucks everything up).

The GAO report has a lot of detail regarding federal ammunition and fire arm purchasing and the numbers and needs of all these federal entities, if you care to look.

41 days gone of the Xiden administration and no attacks or insurrection yet. But keep the troops there, you never know what might happen.

Connivin Caniff | March 3, 2021 at 4:37 pm

Really, it already happened by means of a fraudulent election.

Is anyone buying this crap anymore? I agree with others who say this is nothing more than an excuse to keep the barricades and the occupation troops in place.

Grrr8 American in reply to Idonttweet. | March 4, 2021 at 8:36 am

Actually millions are buying it. Enthusiastically and unquestioningly.

Following the same dynamic as cultists, the Progressives / Democrats seem not just willing, but anxious to believe whatever the blue-pill media feeds them: this; that carbon dioxide is a pollutant and that we only have 12 years left; that the BLM-Antifa riots were “mostly peaceful protests” while 1/6 was an “armed insurrection” incited by President Trump; that despite biology and genetics a man can self-declare as being a woman, and vice-versa; that COVID with its 99+ percent recovery rate requires shutting down our economy and “vaccine passports” to travel, work or shop; that masks don’t work … work and are absolutely essential … no, we need double masks.

Oh, and that Biden is the duly-elected President after a “free and fair” election.

The FBI is really starting to look like something in Russia.

This intelligence was supplied by Christopher Steele for a small fee. He’s willing to leak it to the press for another small fee.

Idonttweet in reply to irv. | March 5, 2021 at 9:18 am

Remember the letter signed by 50 so-called ‘Intelligence Officials’ claiming the Meth-Pipe Biden laptops contained Russian disinformation? They said:

“We want to emphasize that we do not know if the emails, provided to the New York Post by President Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, are genuine or not and that we do not have evidence of Russian involvement – just that our experience makes us deeply suspicious that the Russian government played a significant role in this case.

If we are right, this is Russia trying to influence how Americans vote in this elections, and we believe strongly that Americans need to be aware of this.”

    https://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2020/10/19/clapper-brennan-hunter-biden-emails-russian-disinformation-whether-genuine-or-not/

Read that carefully! They’re saying that they don’t know if the emails are genuine or not and there’s no evidence of Russian involvement, it just “sounds” like something they would do.

How much world-wide trouble has the U.S. government gotten into (or caused) over the years if this is what passes for intelligence analysis?

It may have been more than twenty years since I last walked out of The Building on Ft. Meade, but this isn’t how I remember intelligence analysis working and this fictional “Threat Against the Capitol” has a very similar smell to it.

Subotai Bahadur | March 3, 2021 at 5:14 pm

The goal is to create martial law in DC. If government functionaries fear and obey those who control the troops and fences that surround them, the less that they will listen to the Deplorables who populate the country.

U.S. Capitol Police Obtain Intelligence of ‘Possible Plot’ By a Militia to ‘Breach the Capitol’

“I ask, sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people except for a few public officials.

George Mason”

The George Mason quoted fought in the Revolution, helped write the Constitution at the Constitutional Convention, and is the one who convinced Thomas Jefferson of the concept of ‘inalienable rights’. He also helped write the Bill of Rights. The juxtaposition seems appropriate.

Subotai Bahadur

This administration knows it is illegitimate, and they are paranoid about it. Welcome to the third world, America.

What soothsayer conjured up this prophecy? It sounds like utter nonsense. “March Forth!” sounds like something from an old gladiator film. It should be pretty easy to round up the 37 history nerds that were even aware of the original inauguration day.

Milhouse in reply to WestRock. | March 4, 2021 at 12:41 am

Lots of people know that until the 20th amendment was ratified presidents were inaugurated on March 4th. But why would anyone care? What would be the point of rioting on a day that used to be inauguration day, but hasn’t been for almost a century, especially after having not rioted on the day it happened this year?

      mark311 in reply to Milhouse. | March 4, 2021 at 7:48 am

Agreed but isn’t the issue the shifting position of QAnon – when the Biden got inaugurated some members just redefined the theory. So now they reach to a different date. Whether that is a substantive threat who knows.

        Milhouse in reply to mark311. | March 4, 2021 at 9:41 am

QAnon is not an organization, so it doesn’t have positions. Unlike antifa, which is an actual organization despite all Democrat attempts to claim otherwise, QAnon is nothing more than a joke that some people carry on as a joke and a few idiots actually fell for, so its “positions” only exist in each of those diverse people’s individual heads.

Unlike antifa, it is not a serious threat of any kind. Yes, once in a while you get an idiot who decides on his own to act on his delusions, like the one who attacked that pizza place, or the one who, believing Bernie Sanders’s lies, decided to murder the entire Republican softball team and almost did murder Steve Scalise, or like the one a few years ago who believed SPLC’s vicious lies and attacked the Family Research Council armed with Chick Fil’A sandwiches that he intended to stuff down his victims’ throats. The difference is that Sanders and SPLC are actual people who should be held responsible for what they say, but QAnon is not actual identifiable people, it’s random memes. “Q” himself does not exist.

I’m sure there is a militia out there that was talking about an insurrection. Only problem, all the members every one, is an FBI plant.

The Friendly Grizzly in reply to Barry. | March 4, 2021 at 7:29 am

Like the Klan. Fibbie agents urging a room full of other fibbie agents to do something bad.

WestRock in reply to Barry. | March 4, 2021 at 7:34 am

Scott Adams, of “Dilbert” fame, floated the idea that the likely reason our intelligence agencies have not uncovered the brains behind QAnon is because the purveyors of the slick conspiracy productions are none other than … our intelligence agencies.

Milhouse in reply to WestRock. | March 4, 2021 at 9:43 am

      That’s likely.

I don’t think they started it, though. I think it started as a stupid prank that nobody thought anyone would take seriously. Like that whole idea that the “okay” sign is a nazi symbol. Who could predict that there are idiots who would believe it?

felixrigidus in reply to Milhouse. | March 4, 2021 at 11:27 am

At the time? Nobody but the most paranoid sci-fi writer.

Today? It would be gross negligence to assume it would not be embraced by the wokeists.

It is worth noting that apparently, QAnon (or however that is spelled) is more widely known on the left than by those the left accuses of being “QAnon cultists”. A striking similarity to the racist dog whistles that can only be heard by the properly woke in stark contrast to those they call racist.

Brave Sir Robbin in reply to Milhouse. | March 4, 2021 at 11:37 am

This a big fat lie or crazy talk or both. Prepare for regular warnings that will allow occupation of the Capitol to continue indefinitely.

Lois Lerner should be the new head of the FBI. It’d be an improvement on that criminal, Wray.

The fences are still up and the troops are still present in D.C. in anticipation of trouble following the 25th Amendmenting of Sleepy Joe. Because they have a plan in place that has his removal as far into the future as 4 to 6 months, the specters of other threats must be raised during this time to provide justification for the continued increased security. Without these pretenses, it would be apparent that the increased security and Joe’s removal was part of a long-term plan, and not something that came upon the Democrats suddenly, as if they didn’t realize their candidate was severely mentally compromised since well before the election. When the removal happens and the SHTF, they will say “It’s a good thing we kept the fences up and the troops here,” as if the presence of increased security were merely good fortune rather than the result of a plan. The current gaslighting is meant to help conceal the fact the Dems never intended for Biden* to last in office for more than a few months.

Maybe the John Brown gun club finally figured out who the real racists were.

kingofbytes | March 4, 2021 at 8:55 am

I’m “SURE” the FBI, et-al, will show their intelligence tomorrow for independent verification of it’s voracity. This is just another Dem lie.

The Guardsmen are “keeping the elephants away.” (no pun intended)

Is this an attempt at a “sting” operation?

CommoChief in reply to Philip. | March 4, 2021 at 10:14 am

IMO it’ one giant ‘tar baby’. The presence of the NG and fencing/walls topped with razor wire is a deliberate provocation. The folks behind this WANT someone to respond to it.

Is there a legitimate threat by some whako small group of keyboard wannabe ‘sovereign citizen’ types along with some others? Probably.

I have no doubt there is lot’s of internet chatter among certain types proposing to ‘do something’ on March 4 (old inaugural date) or April 15 (Fed tax filing) or any number of other dates that, in some whako way, serve some whako goal.

Is the security response in DC remotely proportional? No. This is a bunch of nervous nellies, scared to interact with the American People who are after all their boss.

The only place I’ve heard this has been the Biden Admin, their security apparatus, and their media sycophants. Nowhere else have I heard anything about this.

It makes you wonder.
