Ted Cruz At Border: “We Saw the Biden Cages,” Children Are “Packed In There … Side by Side”

“What they’re doing is inhumane, it’s unconscionable, and it was … preventable. It’s the direct result of political decisions the Biden administration has made.”

As the Biden administration fumbles with the border crisis they created, Texas Senator Ted Cruz headed to the border to get a first-hand look at the inhumane conditions Biden is forcing the flood of illegal aliens, including thousands of children, to endure.

What he revealed is chilling.

The term “Biden cages” is perfectly apt given not only that the supposed Trump “kids in cages” lie as actually based on images from 2014—i.e. during the Obama-Biden administration—but also in that they are currently crammed with illegals who are flooding across the border at Biden’s invitation.

Cruz released video from the border that was taken at night.

Fox News has more:

Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, ripped the Biden administration following a visit to the border with 17 other U.S. Senators Friday, telling Fox Business host Elizabeth MacDonald on “The Evening Edit” that the conditions in what he called the “Biden cages” of young migrants in Texas are “inhumane” and “unconscionable.”

CRUZ: Today we visited detention facilities, in particular the [town of] Donna detention facility which is a giant tent-city that has been constructed in response to this overwhelming crisis that’s unfolding on the border. And the capacity in the Donna facility with COVID restrictions is 250 people. It has right now about 4,000 people in it. So it is over 1500% of its capacity.

And we saw the Biden cages. We saw cage after cage after cage that the Biden administration has filled with kids. They are packed in there. They’re not 6 feet apart or 3 feet apart. They’re side by side. And the rate of COVID positivity in the Donna facility is about 10%.

What they’re doing is inhumane, it’s unconscionable, and it was the [sic] preventable. It’s the direct result of political decisions the Biden administration has made.

More from Cruz at the border:

Apparently this is the left’s definition of “empathy and compassion,” yet it is sadly lacking any resemblance to either.

Cruz is looking more and more like Castro

“A fake president of a fake administration installed by a fake election is asked fake questions at a fake press conference by a fake press corpse to fake out the rubes. Perfect, really.”

We need a Convention of States and we need it yesterday

Damn that Trump. He put children immigrant children of color in cages both before and after he was president. Such an evil and crafty man.

Except that was Trumps policy, he even said that ‘if they don’t like the conditions then go somewhere else’. That’s vs the current situation which is Biden’s administration failing to cope with the numbers of immigrants. Which i would point out surged last year.

No one comes out well, but politicising the issues isn’t really helping

if they don’t like the conditions then go somewhere else

Even if he did say that, why is it a problem?

Because deliberately imposing inhumane conditions is quite different from not coping with a situation where poor conditions are resultant from that.

Even if Trump did deliberately impose inhumane conditions, which I deny, why is that a problem? These people are invaders. They shouldn’t be here. They should be glad we aren’t shooting them, which we have every right to do.

This is a ridiculous comment. Trump wanted to stop the exploitation and rape and trauma inflicted on these people in some vain attempt to come to America. Biden, by contrast, says, yeah, let’s exploit the poor, rape and rob them as they travel north, and then let them swarm into Biden cages to be held like animals in a zoo, only in worse conditions–have you seen the pics? It’s inhumane what is happening to these people, they should never have come here, but they did because of stupid people like you who parrot crap they know nothing about and don’t get that these children are better off with their parents in their home countires than being raped and sodomized by criminal traffickers and then herded into cages in Biden’s America. You absolutely disgust me defending this horrorific inhumanity.

These kids will be ignored by the Left/media as they are no longer useful as a cudgel against Donald Trump.

Lo siento, chicos

“this is the left’s definition of “empathy and compassion,”

Like the USSR’s “psychiatric” detention facilities (psikhushkas). Compassionate treatment for all dissenters!

We wouldn’t have this “inhumane and unconscionable” situation if we threw them back into Mexico, but I don’t hear Cruz calling for that.

You have not been reading what Cruz has said since the day Biden issued his first exec order initiating immigration changes if you believe that.

They’re not 6 feet apart or 3 feet apart. They’re side by side. And the rate of COVID positivity in the Donna facility is about 10%.

Buried lede: if the rate is only 10% in these conditions, Chinese Lung AIDS isn’t anywhere near as contagious or dangerous as we’ve been told.

And I’ve also read reports that (1) foster care parents are receiving automated phone calls/emails from state child services asking if they can take extra children into their care possibly as many as 26 extra children at a time and (2) that the federal government has waived the fingerprinting & FBI checks of caregivers at the federal migrant facilities.

Which all shows the Biden regime’s desperation and inability to deal with the crisis at our southern border.

Which all shows the Biden regime’s desperation and inability to deal with the crisis at our southern border.

They aren’t desperate. The chaos is deliberate. The more chaos the easier it makes claiming the problem is unsolvable and that there’s nothing they can do except let everybody in.

He looks pretty smug for someone who can’t do sht about anything because the party he belongs to betrayed this country and helped bring all this about.

It seems to me that the extreme crowding will lead to a lot of sexual abuse. Given the strong libido of teenaged boys and the fact that there is no place where the smaller boys can retreat, it looks like a very bad situation.
